I needed to repair a "vintage" Sony 5-CD player and Lee did an excellent job - was helpful and clear about his services and prices. I was very pleased and would be happy to work with him again. I am very happy to have this part of my music system back in working order. Very speedy too !!! read more

I just had my very old tape deck repaired here. The guy did excellent work and it was fixed in just a few days. I will be back if I need his services. FYI - he only takes cash and sees people by appointment. I would recommend Elite to other folks. read more

I used Elite Electronics when my Sony Bravia TV needed a repair. They were one of two choices for repairs that Sony gave me. And I decided to go with this place, since the other place had bad reviews. :) They were very fast to respond and they kept me up to date on my parts that needed to be ordered. Also, since I worked during the week- they had no problem fitting me into a Saturday Appointment. The repair man had to come twice, but he was always 20 minutes early. I didn't really mind, because its better than being late! He was also super friendly and patient- which was a plus. He even took off his shoes before he got inside my Asian home. Thanks! Nice guy! :) Elite Electronics deserves an A++++! read more

Brought my older plasma flat screen TV here when it was broken. The fee for diagnosis is $50, which can be applied to the cost of repair (very fair). In my case, there were 4 parts that needed to be replaced so it took them a few days to track down all the specifics and the cost, which turned out to be higher than the cost of buying another TV brand new. When I said that I wasn't interested in repairing, they said they would deal with recycling it for me. If I have a TV problem in the future, I would definitely come back here. read more

WARNING-Do not leave a message and expect them to call you back. They won't. I called and left a message about having my tv repaired and heard nothing. After almost 2 weeks I called back. They picked up and came out to get my tv that same day. From what I can tell this is there only flaw, and it's easily avoidable. Just keep calling until someone picks up. Trust me, it's worth it. I had them pick up my 42" LCD Panasonic tv to be repaired. Through no fault of their own the part was on backorder....then backorder turned into "we have no idea when the part will come in"... I had a battle with Panasonic, but the people at Elite were nothing but helpful and communicative. Every time they heard something they would call to update me. I could tell they felt bad about having my tv for so long without being able to repair it. Eventually I got Panasonic to just replace my tv. They shipped it to Elite and the repair guy delivered the brand new tv to my house and helped me set it up. I hope not to need their services again (or at least not for awhile!) but I will be happy to give them my business again. read more

I highly suggest doing business with these folks. I had a previous experience with a different company (http://www.yelp.com/biz/precision-tv-concord#hrid:mRupPnab8cLmgyms3E-k1g/src:self), which didn't turn out well. This company, on the other hand, ordered my warrantied part (received it in two days), and installed it that Saturday. Best yet... it was totally free! You probably have the option of choosing which company does the warranty work for your electronics. These guys are great! My seriously expensive television, is new again! read more

I'm so happy to write a great review for Elite Electronics and specifically Lee. I brought my TV to be hopefully repaired. We couldn't duplicate the problem while I was there but Lee asked me to leave it there and he would check it out. He called me a day or two later and said he figured out the problem and it would be fixed. He cautioned me that it might take some time but again within a day or two, he called me back to tell me it was fixed and ready for pick up! I highly recommend Elite Electronics and Lee!!! read more

My Sony TV needed warranty repair and they gave me 3 local contractors to perform in-home service. The other 2 they gave me have bad reviews on Yelp so I called Elite. Less than 48 hours later, the repair was completed! They were very friendly and attentive and really knew what they were doing. I would not hesitate to call on them again if needed. read more

I had a cracked Mercedes key case and decided to be an Einstein and bought a new key case so I can remove and replace the printed circuit board chip from one house to the next. Didn't have clear instructions on how to do this but used a needle nose plier and was able to do one of my keys successfully. I tried doing the same with the 2nd key and had a much harder time but eventually I did it. Checked both keys that the remote control buttons work and I was happy that both remotes now are like brand new. Little did I know but the other day when my wife tried to drive the car, she couldn't get the key fob to turn in the ignition. My key works fine. Long story short, I didn't check to see if both keys can start the engine. Turns out I damaged one of the printed circuit boards when I pulled it out with the pliers. I took the PCB and key housing to Elite and he looked at it with his magnifying glass and said I had 2 damaged lines. He said he has never worked on anything this small before but will give it a try. If he can get it to work, it will cost $40 but if it doesn't work, there is no charge. I said can you do it now and he told me to give him 30 minutes. I came back and reinstalled everything back into the key housing and crossed my fingers. Inserted the key fob and started the car. I am so grateful he was able to fix my mistake and saved me a few hundred dollars as a new Mercedes key is really expensive. I highly recommend that if you have any electrical problems, bring it to Elite and see what he can do. read more

I have an old Sony 5-disc CD player which was no longer functioning properly and that Sony was no longer supporting. After reading rave reviews of others who brought old CD players in for repair, I decided to drive over to Elite to see if Lee could work his magic on my player. Don't know how he did it but he was able to get the proper information and parts and my player is working just fine now. After about a week, the disc carousel wasn't opening entirely. I brought the player back to Lee and through even more effort and quite a bit of ingenuity, Lee took it as a challenge and corrected the problem. Good guy, fair price and goes out of his way to handle difficult problems. read more

I had to get my HiFi vacuum tube amplifier repaired and brought over to Me. Lee, who was very friendly, professional and quick. He quickly returned my call, had me coming over to drop the amp and was prepared to handle the COVID-19 precautions when I arrived. A day later he called me with an estimation and on the second day after that called me back to let me know the system was fixed. Took the time to test the system when I arrived. Me. Lee did a good job fixing it. Thank you read more

I brought in an older CD player that I love and I was so disappointed when it stopped loading and playing discs. I tried two audio repair shops before coming to Elite. Both shops refused to repair it because it was too old/would be difficult to get parts. Luckily, I brought it to elite where Lee took on the challenge and repaired it! He went above and beyond by locating the parts and by taking on a tough repair job. The customer service was top notch and I got frequent updates about the status of my CD player. I highly recommend elite electronics. read more

I'd purchased a beautiful audiophile amp for a too-good-to-be-true price. Guess I shouldn't have been too surprised when it started cutting out intermittently. I took it to Lee and he chased down the multiple problems like a relentless detective, including spending hours on the phone with the manufacturer. He returned the amp to better-than-new condition at a very reasonable price -- low enough to still keep me in the almost-too-good-to-be-true price range. Lee has a passion for high-end equipment, and does beautiful work. If you're an audiophile, this is the place to take your gear. read more

Wow! Lee was 15 minutes early! After introductions, somehow Chicago got into the conversation. He lived in my old neighborhood - Uptown!! WHAT?!! Blocks away from my old house. Small world. After an hour Lee had my set working. The guy's a wizard. I may be calling him back in 5 years. And he loves tubes! An avid audiophile. If you collect or run vintage equipment, I highly recommend putting Elite in your contact list. read more

Brought Lee an old high end Pioneer receiver that sounded strange when in surround sound mode. He diagnosed the problem (a failed board/chip not worth the repair) and showed me how to use the receiver as an amp. Not sure if he rewired the internals. Very satisfied with service. read more

I was looking for a place to repair my electronics--and saw the great reviews. I left a message on the answering machine and Lee called me back within 15 minutes. He explained he specialized in TVs, mostly Panasonic / National brand. In any case, he seemed like a nice person and after calling 10 electronics repair places he was in the small group of 3 that answered/returned my call in a timely fashion. Thank you! read more

My 55" Panasonic Plasma TV (TC-P55VT30) went out. It wouldn't turn on, just flashed LED 7 times. This TV is too heavy to cart around, so I balked at Elite's home charge, but I wish I hadn't. Instead, I called Art's TV which had a lower house call fee. They said they could repair it at home, but needed a part, went back to store, brought back part, but that didn't fix it. We had to load it into their van to take to the shop. Over a week later, they called to say they couldn't fix it because there was something wrong with my screen, so I'd have to buy a new TV. I took it back anyway and asked Elite for a second opinion. Lee at Elite was awesome. He was courteous and fixed my TV (when Art's said it was unfixable) at a fraction of the cost of buying a new TV. Thanks Lee! I wish I'd taken my TV to you first. read more

Thank you Mr Lee. I highly recommend your services. I was messing around with my wall mounted led flat screen and subsequently broke the antenna completely from the TV. I brought in my TV for diagnosis after letting Lee know that the picture froze and I could not change channels or watch TV any further. He charged me $325 and said it was fixed. 21 days later when the same issue happened he said - it's a DVR problem "you need to exchange your DVR". I don't think he was honest with me from the beginning and he collected $325 from me when the issue from the beginning was with the DVR and not the TV. Lee could not give me a satisfactory answer why he charged me $325. I would not recommend to use this vendor at all. read more

My Panasonic plasma died after 9 years, and I found Elite Electronics via Panasonic's web site. Cuong immediately impressed me with the knowledge he had about my TV upon inspection, and it took less than a week for him to fix it. When I couldn't find someone to help me pick up my TV, he offered to deliver it. After helping me put my TV back on the wall, he pointed out several details about my audio system that I was neglecting, such as insufficient ohm rating on my surround speakers, and exposed wiring that could short out my amp. Again, I was impressed by his thorough knowledge of my system, and I'm thrilled that I'm still able to use my TV at a much lower cost than buying a new one that meets my demanding standards. read more

This was one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! Not only was Chong Lee friendly and cheerful, he came on a Saturday and fixed our Tempur-Pedic bed after months of having to wait for the Shelter-in-place to ease up. Lee at Elite Electronics worked on my TV at my house and went above and beyond at service. He not only removed the chassis from my TV to work on it at the shop but returned it to me before the estimated time he said would be needed for repair. Plus he even brought my smaller TV in from the back of the house to watch while the other TV was in the shop and set my cable up at no charge. Now that's service! read more

We have a fairly old model pioneer elite 52 inch plasma tv. After operating flawlessly for years, suddenly, no power. We looked up some online conversations from people who had had bad luck repairing this model, albeit, their sets were somewhat newer. Yelp reviews gave elite electronics 5-stars, so we called on Lee, and he delivered. It's a heavy wall-mounted set, which he loaded up, took back to the shop, and redelivered in a week good as new. Major part of the price was the part, which Pioneer is not selling cheap. Lee was reasonable, cheerful, and very skillful. read more

I have a kindle paperwhite that needed a screen repair. They refused to even look at it, and said because they are not "factory authorized" they cannot touch it. There is no factory authorized programs for kindles, so by that logic there's no place to go. Even a note saying the kindle is not repairable would have helped, because then I could proceed with a warranty claim. They would not even do that. They would not help me at all, or even suggest anywhere else that could help me. I expect this sort of attitude from Best Buy, not from local merchants (who I go to when ever I can). Needless to say I won't be back to this place. read more

Mr. Lee was enthusiastic and diligent in troubleshooting and repairing our 65" Panasonic Plasma TV. The board with the HDMI connections needed replacement or repair and parts were not immediately available. But he persisted! - taking the TV to their shop, finding a replacement, and thoroughly testing the repaired unit before returning it to us. We'd recommend Elite for TV repair in a flash. Customer service, product knowledge, and professionalism - all top notch! read more

A year ago we moved to Alameda and had an expensive Sony TV, sound, and fancy remote system installed that turned out to be impossibly complicated to operate or even just to turn on. After unsuccessful attempts with other TV techs to fix things and banking on Yelp's reviews we called Elite Electronics .. and got Cuong Lee. One prompt house call from Lee and he got things working but told us that some of our fancy equipment setup could still cause trouble again and to call him when and if we had other problems. A few days later, about 6:00 pm, trying to turn on the Warrior game we could get a picture but not the sound so gambled on calling Lee that late. He was still working in his shop (and watching the Warrior game) but came to our place immediately. He rewired everthing, eliminating some of the fancy stuff, and we now finally have a working, uncomplicated TV system. For super prompt and reliable TV service Lee is definitely our 'to-do' guy!! read more

My very expensive TV no longer had a picture and I was considering just buying a new one but when I saw the good reviews on Elite, I decided to give then a try. It is a 50 inch wall model Panasonic and there is no way I would be able to get it from SF to Alameda so the $135 in home charge was worth it. Mr Lee came the next day with everything it needed and repaired it in my apartment within 2 hours; good as new. It cost me but totally worth it. Mr. Lee is also a very nice person. Joan A. read more

Out of the blue when we turned on our TV this afternoon, there was no sound.
