I should have ordered them plain. The corn bread was okay. We asked for butter for that. The fries were fabulous. The baked beans equally as good. There are two different sauces on the table for you to put all over the things. You can tell that they are making these things in house and take great care to make sure that they are good quality. The portions are terrific and the prices super reasonable. They have an extensive dessert menu. We didn't order as couldn't fit anything else. We even had to take to go boxes. I asked why and was told that the price was $60.99. I explained that it was in the online menu for $53.99 and the only response I got was "we just changed prices and the website hasn't updated and that it is now $60.99. Naturally my response was along the lines of, "ok, but it's advertised online for $53.99". The only response I received from then on was that it's $60.99. I spoke with a manager on-site who repeated the same response. I was told that they would call the big boss and after a 10 minute hold what do you think I was told? If you guessed "it's $60.99". I was also told that the link for them, which is the 1st search result from google is not the website they use anymore and there was no way they would honor the price that they have on, not 1 but 2 online menus. At this point, I was done. I told them that they had lost a long time customer over $7, hung up, called Riverside Pub and Grill which is right around the corner and got better crab cakes. It's also worth noting that I paid roughly the same price for better food. No understanding, no flexibility, just an attitude that screamed, that's the price and if you don't want to pay then whatever. On principle I will never eat there again and I will be discussing their pricing and business practices with the BBB. I get that online pricing may take some time to update but if it doesn't update online live then that is the cost of doing business and you'll have to suck it up sometimes but to not even consider honoring a price that they have listed on 2 menus online is not the attitude a business that values its customers. So much vinegar, all I could taste was vinegar. Now I love vinegar--this is a gal who has six kinds of vinegar in the pantry but I want to taste sandwich, not just the dressing. There was almost no provolone on my sandwich and minimal roast beef hiding in the crease. It looked scared; and I don't blame it. The acid bath was something out of a horror film. And of course the bread barely survived the deluge of dressing, soggy. And barely any crunchy water, I mean, lettuce or onions. And the pepper relish and slices were ON the sandwich not on the side as requests. The Italian wasn't much better, not enough lettuce and the diner, a hungry guy who is not as fussy as me, admitted it wasn't that great. Jersey Mikes of Middletown, do better, please.
