If 0 stars were an option, that is what I would leave! We were there over an hour and ended up asking for a refund. They messed up 3 out of 4 of our burgers and then forgot to even make our friends order. They used the excuse that they were training a new employee, but barely spoke English and had to write down our orders. They suggested we microwave our burgers and fries that got cold while waiting for the others to be remade. The employees argued in front of us, not in English, and their manager threatened to take the cost of our meal out of the employees paychecks! They look good on paper, which conveniently leaves out that they are in a gas station, but I would advise not stopping here! read more

Let's just say I come here a lot, almost weekly. I support Elevation Burger because of their belief in quality ingredients. The beef patties are grass-fed, chicken tenders are organic and I believe everything is fried in EVOO. There seems to be little employee turnover so the food stays consistently good. They are pretty efficient and can usually complete your order in 5-7 minutes. This is located inside a Sunoco APlus convenience store, but they offer bar top seating. This is probably my favorite burger spot, over Shake Shack and In-N-Out. I could probably eat this every day and not feel bad about myself. Great food so I highly recommend. read more

The burger was good and I didn't like American cheese on the fries since it doesn't melt, so I wasn't eating a combo of the two and it was tough eating the fries with cheese. The only thing elevated about my chicken strips and fries meal was the price, because it was at a rest stop. Nothing fancy about this place to elicit the $$$ you have to pay. I have been meaning to try this place because it has good reviews on here (Yelp). The fact it was in a gas station was a little off putting. I know other places specialize in fried chicken and others who have good sandwiches but I was still hesitant. Finally a friend said come on let's go - and I'm glad I did. The Elevation burger was on par with another "reputable" burger joint and the fries were delicious. I would definitely go back again and recommend it. Tucked in a Sunoco store and there was no customer when I got there at noon time. I ordered an Elevation Burger with two additional toppings - bacon and mushroom - and fries. Waited for a good five minutes while the order taking person was making my burger... It was nice and hot but the burger was greasy and not juicy, had no flavor and the fries were okay. This place is in a gas station etc etc etc. Now that that's out of the way, I'll quickly jump into the pros & cons: Pro: patties are grass-fed, probably among the better options in this area, but that's not really saying much. Cons: the patties themselves are very bland - come on people, I want some salt in my meat! - the fiery burger wasn't bad but they didn't have the pepper relish which would've given it more flavor (if a hamburger patty needs the toppings & sauces for it to be good, it's not a good hamburger patty), price was higher than it is for burgers of equivalent quality (Wendy's, actually I like Wendy's a bit more), not a lot of seating (a row of stools at the window) crazy atmosphere because it's a crazy busy gas station. The rest was just Ok. Not good, not bad. Bread was ok. Sauce was ok. Even the jalapeños were just Ok, and I love jalapeños. read more

Oh man...it's hiding. This place is located inside the Sunoco gas station at the Maryland house. It's a bit confusing until either someone tells you or you happen to see their logo on the front of the gas station. They offer beef burgers, chicken, or veggie burgers. They have fries, in different variations. They also offer milkshakes. The special one right now is a Cheesecake flavored one. When I walked up I was greeted immediately! I ordered a Santa Cruz chicken sandwich and added pickles. Since there was a family in front of me, I waited to watch them prepare their food. I have to also say I LOvE that they have the calories on each item labeled on the menu. The prices are moderate. The sandwiches run from 6-10$. The price includes each item separately, so come to spend a little bit. If you are wanting to sit down and enjoy there is two undesignated chairs but they were laying loosely about so wasn't sure if they really were suppose to be there or now. All in all my chicken sandwich was delicious and the customer service was wonderful.! I am excited to come back and try the beef burger...I also wish they had sweet potatoes fries as an option. read more

The kids and I were searching for a new place to grab a burger in Aberdeen. I never thought of the Maryland House Travel Center located smack in the middle of I-95, and why would I? Why would anyone? Travel plazas are overpriced, crowded, and pretty much just a place for weary travelers to hit a restroom and grab a quick bite, maybe a souvenir. This burger joint is in a gas station. - Service was friendly and quick. - Options include Grass-Fed Beef, Vegan, "Impossible" burgers, and others. - Many options for all diets. And it was good. You can be certain that many of the 5 star ratings at the restaurant are either fake or made by people who have never had a good burger in their lives. I ordered the Elevation Burger with Olive Oil Fries and a Chocolate Shake, let's go through it. The Bun: nice soft bread with decent flavor but desperately needed to have been toasted. Wherever the sauce or burger juice touched the bun it was really mushy. The Cheese: probably the best part of the burger, nice sharp cheddar with a good amount of melt. It's not amazing, probably the same stuff you can buy at Walmart but thankfully they didn't throw some unmelted Kraft on there. Wouldn't have shocked me if they did. The Veggies: pretty much your standard vegetables, I'm sure they got them delivered a week ago and they've been sitting in their fridge. Tasted fresh but they definitely also had the taste of being in a fridge for a week. About what you'd expect from any fast food place. The Sauce: bland and lacking. It's just a piddling smear across the bun that I could forgive if it packed a punch of flavor, but it doesn't. It's a basic ketchup and mayo sauce with some spices sprinkled in. There's just not enough sauce plain and simple. The Patty: nice and juicy but still cooked all the way through it would have been a really nice patty if it had any flavor whatsoever. It was so so so bland. If your gonna cook an unseasoned burger you have to have some killer sauce and plenty of it but as I discussed above the sauce is just meh. The Fries: these are the ONLY reason this wasn't a 1 star review. I'm a big fan of Olive Oil and the Olive Oil Fries have that flavor in spade. They are beautifully salted and have a great crisp. And you really do get the flavor of the Olive Oil. If you don't like Olive Oil these definitely aren't for you but if you're like me and could almost drink the stuff, you'll like these fries. Honestly to improve the burger you might want to shake some of the salt from the fries onto the burger. The Shake: it's was fine, kinda hard to mess up a milkshake. Pretty much what you'd expect from a fast food place. Could've been creamier, could of had better flavor but I won't hold that against them. Final thoughts: SALT YOUR PATTIES AND YOU'LL HAVE A REALLY GREAT HOLE IN THE WALL!!!! Like that's all it would take to move this from a 2star to a 4 star, just season your dang burgers. The service was very poor you maybe want to have a conversation to your employees about dressing professionally and proper hygiene. Located in a Sunoco store this small burger joint was key for me since I was looking for a healthier option for the road. I decided to go with the "create your own burger" which was the ideal option for me at the time. For $5.99 I was able get a double elevation burger (picked turkey burger over beef) in a lettuce wrap and added bacon. The total cost caught me off a guard a bit and I felt it was a bit pricey but for me this was the healthiest option in the area. The meat was decent but not anything to really brag about. If stopped at the Maryland house again then I would probably go back here for the healthier option. I'm a fan that they offer veggie, chicken beef and signature burgers. I was informed that they never recieved an order and that their service was down, even though I got a confirmation and a charge in my account. That's fine, shit happens. Halal fast food at a rest area right off of I-95. This place is in the Maryland House rest area inside the Sunoco Food Mart, which is a very convenient location; you get your grub, your gas and get back on the highway within minutes. There are a few bar stools at a counter on the side, however, if you want to eat there. If you've been to other Elevation Burgers, then you know what to expect. The burgers are good. The chicken is really good with various sauces. The fries are ok. The shakes are great. The service is quick. Best part here is that it's halal food readily available without having to drive way off your intended route. That's a big plus, especially when you are driving for hours and have hungry kids in the car with you. So, for hungry kids & weary travelers, this Elevation Burger location is awesome. read more

Little known secret while traveling... Traveling can be a real drag especially going to the rest stops and trying to find anything decent to eat---- well here is a little known secret I want to share with all my yelpers !!! when you're on 95 in MD and you stop at the Maryland house there's a Sunoco gas Station with the mini mart in it. In the mini mart is a brand new elevation Burger. ( only open for five weeks I ! A chicken sandwich is 5.99- tasty and healthy and ready on the spot - made to order ! what a refreshing change from the nasty Road food are usually forced to endure while traveling back-and-forth on route 95. The food is very good ---my only suggestion would be that the bathrooms need to be kept in better shape. I took a picture of the clean side of the bathroom there was no soap in any of the bathroom dispensers and it was only 11 AM .But the elevation burger itself is fantastic and no one is in there as of yet!! There were also good snack selections and the Sunoco seems to be clean, fresh and new. I am giving this location a four star review but I encourage all of You Road Warriors this summer to try it out ! read more

I remember working here as a college student, nothing much has changed but their burgers are still great. I got the vegan burger with caramelized onions and the works. The fries are good as usual. Back in the day their milkshakes were okayish but i didn't try one this time. They have a lot of sand which toppings and they market themselves as being health friendly. Sunday 2pm After getting gas at the Sunoco I noticed a sign that said that there was an Elevation Burger at the station. Out of curiosity I walked in and was surprised to see that the grass fed burger joint was there. I was super excited as the healthy food options in the adjoining rest stop were a bit limiting. The staff was real nice and friendly. They were quick to take my order and serve it neatly in the bags. The two minor qualms I have are no seats in the station to eat, only chest high tables against the windows. Also, not sure the reason, but they don't take nor punch the loyalty card. Interestingly enough the guy, while apologetic about it, mentioned that I was the second person today who asked about the card. I'd say minus half a star for each of these issues on a perfect food option for the trip. read more

Check this out. GRASS-FED BURGERS. How the hell are you going to beat grass fed beef? YA CAN'T. I had their standard elevation burger which comes with 2 patties and they have a myriad of toppings. On my burger I added bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, Ketchup. French fries are fried in olive oil. Amazing. Can't complete a meal without a nice shake. I also picked up their coffee ice cream shake with malt powder. Pretty good I'd say. The burger was constructed well but I was a little bit disappointed with the amount of lettuce and tomato. It wasn't very much, but to each their own. Overall it's a good burger. You're putting the best kind of beef into your body, which in turn will metabolize much easier and be absorbed by the body much better. Give it a try! read more

I can appreciate that. well, that place closed a few years ago, and shortly after I transcended to only eating fish from the meat realm (not related to the closing.) I was doing well with that, until one day whilst returning from a trip to DC I stopped at the "Maryland House" travel plaza (or whatever you call it) for gas. as I'm pumping my gas I suddenly notice an Elevation Burger sign on the outside wall of the gas station convenient store. O.O could it be?? I hadn't seen an Elevation Burger since my favorite one closed. I don't eat meat like that anymore, but it was calling me to come inside, come inside and just see how I feel. *happy moos ensued in the back of my head where those other voices are usually heard* I step in the building. I look left. I look right. *insert angelic sound byte here* there it is. my heart starts to pound. but I don't eat meat like that anymore. I stopped for the animals, remember?? but...but...these cows lived happy lives tho, right? lemme just look at the menu real quick... I look at the menu and I see two or three special made burgers. I'm not used to that. the EB in my 'hood you had to design your burger yourself. but now they have this special guacamole swiss ranch burger that sounds like my pants getting tighter just thinking about it (and I'm not talking about due to calories if you know what I mean.) you know what, I'm out of state and no one I know is anywhere around for miles. This is a burger joint in the gas station at the Maryland house on I-95. This is my first review on yelp. I took the time to write this because I was blown away by the food but more so by the customer service. You can tell that they love working here. I was helped by Morgan who was Awesome! She was warm, friendly and very helpful. She also creates her own unique milkshakes. You have to try the chocolate covered coffee bean. Yummy. The staff puts so much love in their burgers. And you can taste it in every bite of the perfectly cooked patty and very fresh toppings. Try the elevation sauce and aged cheddar. For a shop located at a truck stop this is not what you would expect. It's hidden away at a gas station. Hamburgers are great, but the veggie burgers are what I go for. We try to stop here as an occasional treat to break up our time on I-95. Delicious grass fed, halal beef burgers. The fries are great too, and a milkshake rounds out this delicious meal. One of the few times I'll eat meat and it doesn't leave me feeling heavy and greasy afterwards. As others reviewers mentioned, it absolutely beats other rest stop options. The taste of the food and the service at this location is consistent with that of others I've been to in the DC area and NJ.
