    Pit Beef Sandwich

If you like the taste of beef, this spot's for you. I arrived around lunchtime with 3 coworkers and immediately joined a fast-moving line. Their huge menu with lots of sides on several walls lets you decide while you wait. With plenty of seating, my group easily found a table. I got the Maryland specialty of a Pit Beef Sandwich with my choice of medium rare shaved beef. It had really simple seasoning where the beef flavor shined through and it was a very manageable-sized sandwich. It can come with onions but I didn't get them this time and they're a good idea. I also picked up a Cornbread that was good but I wished it was warm. In any case, Chaps Pit Beef is good pit stop. NOTES/TIPS: **Plenty of parking in their own shared lot. **Wheelchair-accessible.

Even though they were busy on a Sunday afternoon - we got our food fast and everything was so good! Chaps never lets us down!!!

Was driving thru town and decided to stop here because I seen good reviews, I was happily surprised. It wasn't busy but you can tell it is a popular place. They have a few tvs and indoor/outdoor seating. The pit beef was so good! One of the best sandwiches I have had hands down. I loved it. The fries were okay, but I am not a fan of fresh cut fries. Also I had the baked beans and they were awesome. I wish I ordered more of that than the fries. I can't wait to go back to try some more stuff! Worth a stop!

Pit Ham sandwich, French fries and drink. - The photo features a meal from Chaps Pit Beef, including a pit ham sandwich with sliced ham on a bun, a serving of French fries in a black container, a cold soda in a clear plastic cup with a red straw, and a paper bag with the Chaps Pit Beef logo. The setting appears to be inside a restaurant with a wooden table and a window in the background.

Best place for pit beef, pit ham, pit turkey sandwiches. They have delicious boardwalk fries and the wings looked good as well. A Pepsi restaurant for drinks. If you are not from Maryland, add some Old Bay to your fries to a kick and spice.

#52 Special: Corned Beef, Ham, Beef, and Cheese. And I always throw some sliced onions and horseradish sauce on mine. The best!

I love Chap's and usually go to the original on Pulaski. I was driving through Baltimore and the original wasn't open yet but by the time I hit Aberdeen this location was. I went inside just after the doors opened. It's really big, plenty of seating. The staff was just as friendly as on Pulaski (except Bob isn't there handing out food) and the food was also just as good. If they had a bar this place would be the best. But even without alcohol available they're still one of my favorite spots. I'm happy to see that they were able to expand and still keep the food, service and staff the same. Definitely a stop if you're within a few hours.

I was very specific with my order I guess they did the best they could? I'm willing to try one more time before I give a yes or no verdict. At the current moment I'm giving them a maybe. I asked for sausage to be over cooked almost hurt and for my bread to be toasted. It was not the way I asked I had to take it home and do it myself

Menu - The menu features a list of sandwiches such as beef, hot dog, sausage, burger, cheese burger, ham, and various BBQ options, each with corresponding prices. It includes detailed descriptions like 'Homemade' and specific ingredients, with prices ranging from $6.80 to $11.05. The menu is printed on a dark background with white text, organized in a column format.

Chaps is a regional treasure. People know about Chaps. Smoky meats on a bun. Onions are included, but lettuce tomato and other toppings are extra and you have to order them. Ordering had a long line but was fast. The cashier lady was very nice. I got the Guy's Triple D - pit beef, corned beef, and sausage. Tell her how rare you eant the pit beef. I recommend not going more than medium. Very generous portions of meat on a soft sub roll. They have various bbq sauces and tiger sauce on the counter. Pickles as well. Free refills on drinks. Sandwich was 11.55. Drink 3.40. About 15.85 after tax. A great lunch option if you're in the area.

This is way too raw for medium!

What's the big deal? Absolutely nothing special about the pit beef sandwich. It was nearly raw in spots (see photo). Just bland and boring if you don't put BBQ sauce on it. The service was really prompt but oddly when you pay there is no tip option if you are using a credit card. Ambiance is masculine and open architecture with wooden tables. So disappointing after reading all the hype and driving out of our way to stop here.

Kids Karli's Hot Dog Platter - A hot dog with two strips of bacon inside a soft bun is shown, partially wrapped in foil. The hot dog appears to be grilled or cooked, with the bacon strips placed on top of the sausage. The hot dog is resting on crumpled brown paper, and a person's hand with painted nails is visible in the top left corner of the image.

We frequent the Chaps on Pulaski Highway pretty regularly and decided to order carry-out from the Aberdeen location while in the area recently. First, I love that this location isn't too far from the 95 exit and the kid-friendly and clean dine-in option is definitely a plus. There are so many different options to order here but during this visit, we opted for the Beef sandwich, Turkey and Beef sandwich, fries, and hot dog and chicken tender meals for the littles. The employees were welcoming upon ordering and the meals were prepared accurately and quickly. Ready for my favorite part of the experience? The abundance of sauces! Mixing favorites like the Chaps Bbq and the Carolina Gold elevate an already delicious sandwich made on a soft Kaiser roll. Can't wait for our next visit.

This place is in a strip mall. I was expecting more of a BBQ beef place but it's basically a beef sandwich place. They also have fish and I thought I saw chicken options. The beef was pretty bland actually. I added onions and jalapeños and that helped but you want to think about add one to give the sandwich life. The green beans were ok. They add tomatoes and it gives it a slight marinara flavor. It was ok. The drink fountains are free refill so have at it. The place is clean and the staff was friendly. The teenagers were singing loudly in the kitchen and it brought a smile to my face. Clearly their manager is creating a positive environment and this isn't just a workplace for them. It's a great experience by the sound of it. I will definitely come back and try more of their food. I like these people! Give them a try and see how you like it. Let me know if I was totally off base!

Over priced and the pit beef is too fatty, more fat than actual meat. It's sub par but at least they have pit beef at all.
