Excellent waffle nachos. Thank you all. I enjoyed my classic Coor's Light Beer. Good atmosphere.

    Pickles! These are the BOMB!!!!!!

They make a gooood burger! Our first visit. Got seated right away. I got an orange crush and my husband got the Michigan IPA. Both were good! He did the build your own burger and I got the Applewood Burger with bourbon jam and bacon. So good. Comes with chips but you can upgrade to fries which I recommend. Also, the pickles are to die for. They are house made and sweet, salty, spicy just perfect. They need to sell these. Awesome service from Bryce and when we got there they were busy! Also the hostess was super sweet and friendly. Free parking and Havre de Grace is a funky cool little town!!

This is not the color a crispy chicken sammich should be.

Every place's success comes down to one basic question - does the food taste good? Abbey Burger didn't offer anything good in our visit. I had the crispy chicken burger - while the chicken was done, internally, the breading was fried in either way too hot or hot and old oil. The burned/oil oil taste was the strongest taste. My partner had the salmon burger - and there's no real way to describe it other than 'tastes like you'd expect unseasoned fish on bread to taste'. The seltzer water tasted off; rubbery perhaps, or poor quality local water supply. The iced tea tasted like old tea. While the chicken sandwich was removed from the bill, $35 for fried pickles, one burger, and an Iced Tea (the remaining items on our bill) seems steep for the quality of the product. Service was fine. Friendly. All that. Service isn't enough of a reason to return. If a quality chef could mentor their cooks for even one day, it might be enough to save this place.

    Wings- ordered crispy

Doesn't look promising when walking by, however don't pass it up! The wings were crispy and delicious- the burgers were cooked perfectly and loaded with all the toppings I selected! Not sure what is wrong with other peoples reviews, but go see for yourself! We sat at the bar and had great service and delicious food! Fries were well worth the upgrade !

Location is a little hard to find the first time you go because the front is very narrow. When you walk in there is a bar and then further back is more seating (booths and tables). I had to take a star away because it did take forever for someone to come over and greet us after we were seated, get our drink order, and take our food order. Another time, we went to eat and checked their posted hours to be sure they were open around 1pm, which online said they were, only to show up and a hand written sign on the door said "not open till 3pm." Overall the experience was great and we have ordered take out a few times! Take out has always been correct and ready when we arrive. Staff is friendly and it's a great location in downtown Havre de Grace!

The burger sliders are so good! This time it was duck, beef, and crab cake with all three having fantastic toppings!

Most of the orders were not correct and food came out cold after 70 minute wait. Nothing like the experience of abbey in the city.

We sat in addition where it was rather loud due to 5 kids at one table with their parents, and another party of 12 in there. The acoustics aren't terrific. Didn't ruin the experience, but just know in case you are sensitive to noise. Ask to sit in other areas. Very friendly employees! From the moment you step in. Hostess was nice and our server was terrific (shout out to Riley). She kept checking in on us and made sure that we had all that we needed. We ordered a margarita and I wouldn't recommend this at all. It tasted like lemonade and a some tequila. They also put sugar on the rim. It was subpar to say the least. It was nothing as described on the menu (fresh squeezed lime juice). We ordered the fried pickles for an app and I highly recommend them. The sauce that is served with them is great! For entrees, we ordered the Bone & Butt (ribs w/pulled pork) with a side of baked beans and a burnt ends meal with sweet potato fries. The ribs and pulled pork were absolutely great! Even the burnt ends were good too. However, I do like super wet sauces and they do come drenched in BBQ sauce. That was a me problem as I should have asked and I forgot. I should have ordered them plain. The corn bread was okay. We asked for butter for that. The fries were fabulous. The baked beans equally as good. There are two different sauces on the table for you to put all over the things. You can tell that they are making these things in house and take great care to make sure that they are good quality. The portions are terrific and the prices super reasonable. They have an extensive dessert menu. We didn't order as couldn't fit anything else. We even had to take to go boxes. This is located near Great Wolf Lodge! If you are staying there, this is super close and worth the drive. It's also not far off of 95 so if you are in the area swing by - worth the drive off of 95 (not far at all). Would for sure come again! Very tasty.

Super nice servers. You can tell they are happy and that this is a place where they focus on customers. Could see that there were several locals eating and drinking. Seemed many regulars were there. Ordered onion rings that were delicious. Then had 2 burgers - The Heater (no bun) and the monthly special which had sloppy Joe on it. The Heater was good. The sloppy Joe one was meh as the sloppy Joe part was very light as far as serving size so could barely taste. The burgers themselves are absolutely delicious! They use local butchers burgers (Bowman Butchers). You can clearly taste the difference. So good. We got fries with one (get those) and tots with the other (skip these). This is a terrific place to get good food and wonderful service. We didn't do drinks, but the bar is fully stocked and they have lots on tap. Worth a stop!!

Yesterday, my friend and I took a bike ride around town, and then stopped in for an appetizer and a beverage. It was about 2:30 on the afternoon on a Friday, yet there was a nice gathering of folks enjoying themselves. We were promptly served, and left alone while we browsed the menu. My friend ordered the blackened ahi tuna starter, which she proclaimed bright with flavor and prepared exactly as requested (extra rare). I chose the cream of crab soup, which might be the best I've ever eaten, full of huge lumps of crab meat, delicately flavored with Old Bay, but not too salty. I would've preferred it a tad thinner, but it was not too thick to enjoy. Since I love meatballs, I also ordered the Margherita meatballs, and they were delicious! Three medium sized meatballs, tasting like your Italian Nonna made them, with a rich Sunday sauce and a sprinkling of parmesan. Yum yum yum. My friend and I also decided to splurge on a plate of onion rings, neither of us having had them for a long while. They came out overdone (or left under a lamp too long) and were burned around the edges. One bite and yuck. No worries, our bartender said she'd get them to make us another plate. The second plate came out looking perfectly, and we enjoyed a few, however, they were rather bland and lacked some flavor. Nonetheless, our experience was delightful and our dissatisfaction with the onion rings was not enough to take off a star from my rating. Havre de Grace is a charming small town at the base of the Susquehanna River where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. Come visit, browse the cute shops, and stop in Coakley's for some delicious food, expert cocktails and local energy.

I believe this was my second time here as it is a favourite of the extended family. Usually I'm here for a birthday or celebration of some kind. The food was okay. My French dip sandwich was fine but the onion rings were flavourless. The onion rings were lukewarm. The Peach Palmer was okay. Not very flavourful, like alcoholic weak tea. My partner ordered the Tuscan Garlic Chicken and found the sauce to be great but the chicken was dry. A cousin ordered the Captain Chesapeake sandwich and it was good but lacked crab. Which is astounding for a Chesapeake town to lack crab. The server for our party seemed very over it. Which I can understand partially since it was a busy Sunday afternoon. However our Birthday person has a disability, a stutter and delayed speech. Our server rolled his eyes and rushed her to order when she was trying her best. He lacked any sort of patience and seemed to just want to be done with us. The ambience is okay. It's weirdly empty and not decorated much. Overall it's okay but I don't come here unless someone else has chosen this as the venue for food.
