I wanted to try something different on DCPA night, so Mom and I ventured to Elements. A short walk later (two blocks) and this place really gave a great first impression the minute I stepped off the elevator. The bar area decor was clean and modern, fitted with comfy high back seating and a cozy fireplace setting. ADA friendly too! This is a nice place to catch a game for out of town visitors but note the telly's located at the bar do not have closed captioning. Our server, Melissa, greeted us promptly (self seating location) and kept the conversation fun throughout our visit. The drinks have a nice pour as my mom ordered the Cherry Chocolate Old Fashioned, which she needed it to be watered down...lol. I enjoyed the Berry Good Time cocktail, which was equally generous. We started with the charcuterie board, which had an eclectic mix of locally made cheeses. Very tasty! For our main meal we ordered the short rib tacos, which are absolutely delicious! Even my mom, who can be pretty fussy with food, enjoyed the kimchi. If you are not staying at the hotel, Elements will validate your parking. read more

Never again... I ordered the Steak Frites and it was awful. I ordered my steak medium rare and received beef jerky and the piece of meat was so small! My dish looked nothing like the picture of the same dish I saw on yelp! The fries were bland and flavorless as well. This dish was too pricy and awful, I would expect it to be made better at a fast food chain. I was in Portland the next day and ordered the same dish at another restaurant and bar to remedy my experience the night prior. I feel bad leaving such a negative review because the bartender was so nice and I really liked him. The ambiance was nice as well.... I decided to give a try instead of walking to find a place to eat. Very convenient when staying at Embassy hotel. Sign said choose seat. Sat down and was greeted by server with menu. Decent options and good prices too. Decided on a chicken sandwich and was not disappointed. Everything cooked fresh. Chicken had a nice crunch and the BBQ sauce had a little kick but was a good kick. Co-worker had the meatloaf and said it was really good. Didn't snap picture of their food though. Had multiple tvs on for sports and very chill place. When staying at the Embassy Suites they offer complimentary hot breakfast and a happy hour in the evening with two free drinks and snacks. There's plenty of seating and a nice bar. I had lunch here once, and chose a salad with walnuts, goat cheese, grilled chicken and pears. It was delicious. I returned for dinner and chose the steak frites, which is a 12 ounce boneless ribeye with a side salad and fries. It was cooked perfectly and very tasty. I got a dessert to go, the "EL IMPOSIBLE" cake which is a Mexican Choco-Flan Cake with Coffee-Chocolate Sauce Made with local Coffee Liquor...for $8. I love chocolate and didn't like this at all. I ate a few bites and threw it away. I would definitely skip dessert next time. They don't have a large menu but the variety is pretty good. It was brutally cold when I arrived in Denver yesterday, so instead of walking to a restaurant, I decided to try the one in my hotel. The entree I chose was delicious, and the servers were friendly and upbeat. The service was also fast. It's clear that the chef takes pride in the dishes because of how mine was presented. The beer selection was a little thin because they were low on stock, but the one I had from Breckenridge Brewery was juicy and refreshing, and had been recommended by my server. I would recommend this restaurant to travelers wishing to stay in after a long day, or people who want a low-key weeknight dinner that doesn't cost a ton. read more

Got to the bar at 11pm. Website and front desk at hotel said they were open until 12am. Sat down right after three others at the bar and there were a couple more people already seated at the bar. The bartender asked us if we were eating or drinking or both, and when we all said both, she let out an audible sigh. She gave us menus and then proceeded to begin closing the bar. When she finally asked me what I wanted she mentioned "by the way the kitchen is running really slow tonight." Okay. It was one thing after another with the sighing and making people feel unwelcome as if we were putting her out by being there. As far as I could tell, she just wanted to leave. H to e funny thing was the food came out rather quickly and was very good. Then as we got closer to midnight the bar filled up completely. The battened did her best to ignore people and continue picking up floor mats and putting away bottles of booze, but eventually got to everyone. She was short with everyone to the point I said to the guy next to me, it cost extra for a smile. I used to run a bar and the idea that one of my bartenders would be ignoring customers to clean up and prep for leaving would have made me irate. That's for when the bar is closed. Sure, you got some down time, pre-clean and organize but when there's customers waiting around, you're failing at your job to take care of the customers first. A man named Jake came out of the kitchen , and I'm guessing he's management because of the way he handled himself and mingled with the customers, but if he's management, he's doing it wrong. He needs to be facing rhetorical customers and this gal should be back in the kitchen as far away from customers as possible. Avoid this place unless you're desperate. Ehh... definitely would NOT recommend Elements as a place to dine at if you have other options (which in Denver, there exists many!). My husband and I are new to the area and were looking for someplace close by to go to after a happy hour with colleagues. It also happened to be restaurant week, so we looked into establishments close by that were partaking. Unfortunately not knowing many people, we weren't able to ask opinions of others, otherwise I'm sure we would have been discouraged from going to Elements. Alas, too late. Anyway. Overall, everything was bad. Service, setting, food, and drink. My husband felt nauseous after eating there, which leads me to believe the quality of the food wasn't stellar, either (though I felt fine). We both ordered cocktails; I had one with blackberry that tasted like over-sweetened syrup = bad. I had to ask for water refills (no bueno). Very little patrons, which should have been a red flag. Our food orders were as follows: Cage Free Chicken Noodle Soup = no chicken, lacking flavor Kale Caesar Salad = very little kale, mostly romaine, WAY TOO salty Winter Wonderland Salad = okay, but not as good as it sounded Butter Basted Ribeye = decent, probably the best thing we tasted there Brown Butter Pumpkin Gnocchi = burnt and far too chewy Chocolate Rockslide Brownie Sundae = tasted like it was a week old Seasonal Crème Brule = cold, bad texture, tasted like egg In a nutshell, Elements sucked. Fantastic Restaurant Week Menu. Free Valet Parking with Dinner. $4 Happy Hour Drinks. We just had a great time at Elements for Denver Restaurant Week. We gathered about 1/2 hour before our reservation for cocktails at the bar. Apparently, if you are a guest of the hotel, they have a free happy hour next to the restaurant. Not being guests we enjoyed $4 glasses of wine at the bar during happy hour (ends at 6pm). Dinner was a series of tapas with wine pairings, yum. Mushroom Ravioli, Ahi Tuna Poke, Pork Tenderloin wrapped in Bacon with Spicy Sweet Potato Mash, and Steak Au Poivre. Everything was delicious! The pairing of the wines was quite good as well. This place was not crowded at all, which is rare for Restaurant Week. They do not use Open Table, but we had no hassle calling for a reservation. No hassle on separate checks either, nice! This is just a great place and we will definitely be back. read more

Happy hour! If you are a guest at the hotel they offer a FREE happy hour. It doesnt get much better than that! Well, okay it could be better. Seems as though there really isnt a crowd. Which is good..it means relaxation and a nice soothing atmosphere at a hotel bar. Did I mention the FREE drinks during happy hour if your a guest at the hotel. LoL They have good lounge chairs available and tables. If your in a group and dont want to stand at the bar. The staff is super friendly. And the bar is low key without loud music pulsing in the background. So you can actually hear the conversation with the person your with. read more

But, the Elements Bar itself was swank and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. All in all it, was a nice place to hang out. We ordered some appetizers one day and dessert once. Had lunch with friends at this run of the mill new watering hole that calls itself "an elevated farm to table" sports bar. We were handed an all-purpose menu that reportedly covered dinner and lunch, even though their nonfunctional website implies that the lunch menu is different. It's not. You will pay dinner prices and get very mediocre food. A lot of people are abusing the farm-to-table descriptor and this place is a standout for such abuse. The only elevated thing about this menu were the prices, only rivaled by the ungenerous skimpy plates. As sports bars go, this menu was pretty predictable, with its uninspiring sections for wings, burgers, sandwiches, and three typical salads -- except that's it's way overpriced for Denver. Hardly farm to table, it attempts to simulate elite dining by simply reducing the portions of Sysco Systems typical bar grub fare. So the very thing you look for in a pub, a nice fresh generously portioned if simply good meal, will not happen at this pretender place. The chicken "club" sandwich was mediocre at best and poorly assembled, fell apart, and was unimpressive in size and creativity. Its hard to even get how they could call it a club sandwich, much less farm-to-table. I guess the short order cook never had one before. Club sandwiches conjure up images of multi-layered yummy mansandwiches, bulging so high that they must be contained with toothpicks. Elements' version hardly towered like a club; its simple sandy was flat and ladylike, and was served with bland package-style potato chips. All in all a terrible value for $14. The burger was unimpressive and not particularly memorable. The meat was better than average but the patty was a pity, and sides really meh. At $14+up this too was a decidedly poor value. I had the Cobb salad. It was less than mediocre. Nothing seemed all that fresh, and it was laid out in "deconstructed" sections on a flat plate, segregated by food type; not nearly enough lettuce, and served dry with no dressing offered. Amazing for its lack of creativity. Clearly nobody alive in ownership of this beer hall bothered to sit down and try it. I had to ask for a bowl and toss it myself. Too bad I couldn't get a bill credit for the DIY sous chef effort! $13 and a bad value. The worst dish by far was the brussel sprouts, a tiny sad looking half bowl of them, served almost cold and swimming in a terrible bottled-tasting salty soy based sauce. Skip that ungenerous barely edible side for sure. For the after-work crowd, maybe this is a great place to buy cheap happy hour drinks and beer, and get blotto and not taste the difference, but if you're looking for a decent lunch or meal skip Elements. read more

I wish I could give 2 1/2 stars! My guy and I went to Elements a few nights ago for restaurant week. Free valet, yay! I'll start with the less than good stuff... The ambiance is definitely hotel-ish. There's a big open area that leads directly into a cafeteria-style dining option, and there's people walking around in sweats. It kinda kills the mood. Elements itself is pretty enough but nothing special. I wish there hadn't been so many large screen TVs. The service wasn't good. Our server was friendly enough, but she seemed rushed (the restaurant was maybe 1/3 filled) and not at all formal. There were little things, like plunking down a buttery knife on the table (and getting butter on the table) for reuse for the next course. There were also big things. The Restaurant Week dinner was 4 courses with a wine pairing. Once, we didn't get our wine until our plates were cleared. For another course, we got our wine about 10 minutes before the course arrived. My guy and I agreed that it was diner style service. And the good stuff... the FOOD. I eat out a lot. Like, a lot a lot. This chef knows what he's doing, and produced some of the best food I've had in a long long time. The portions (4 course tapas style) were big enough that by the end I was stuffed. The flavors and freshness were magnificent. Yum, yum, yum. I don't think we'll go back despite the great food. The service and the ambiance killed the nice night out feeling. read more

Showed up last night for restaraunt week and the only good thing about the experience was the fact that I didnt have to pay full price for the dinner.. Stood outside the restaraunt for 10 minutes waiting for a host to seat both myself and my date and finally walked over to the bar and asked if we should seat ourselves. The host made his way over to us and was very rude then finally seated us. The food was mediocre to say the least and the wine pairings were most likely chosen by someone who didn't know what they were doing. The decore was descent but very hotel-esque. The service was terrible and despite being restaraunt week the place was relatively empty. Really nothing about the Elements stood out as being a worthwhile dinner excursion and would not go for a round two. read more
