I found another gem literally hidden in the corner of the strip mall. We came here for their taco Tuesday ($1.89). We both ordered 5 each with a mixture of different meats. It was all really good. You order on the counter as you enter like a fast food place and they call your number. If you're eating at the place, they actually give you real plates so that was pretty good. The place is really bright and very clean. We will certainly return.

Another random yelp find that we had to try out ... I'm always in search of crispy hard shell tacos or crispy taquitos or rolled tacos as we know them from growing up in Az. At first glance this spot is cute, very clean, well organized, plenty of parking, it had a small self serve salsa bar (which I'm a huge fan of) and it was pretty busy at lunchtime! All good signs. You order and pay at the counter and then pick up your food when it's ready. Now would I say this is the best most authentic Mexican food I've ever had? NO. However was it good, yes. Would we return? Also yes. We tried the taquitos, hard shell tacos, enchilada and carne asada taco .... For the ground beef crispy hard shell taco alone, I would return! Crazy how hard that is to find in this area!!! If you haven't tried this spot give it a try ... we will be back at another time.

With a plethora of Mexican restaurants in the area, I was craving some nachos or hard-shell tacos and this place was a couple of miles away from work, so I decided to place a phone order for their super nachos with chicken. The employee took my order promptly and was super friendly and said they would be ready in 10 min. Located in an older strip mall, there was plenty of parking at the time I went. Upon walking in, the restaurant is very clean and inviting. My order was ready to go. Since they were "loaded nachos" I assumed they came with jalapenos, salsa, sour cream, guac, and lettuce, but I decided to ask the employee if they came with jalapenos and she said yes and asked if I wanted more and I said sure (I didn't take a peek at this point). I ate them when I got back to work and it was a decent size for 13.25 incl tax, but I was disappointed that the chicken was not all white meat and there was no salsa in the bag. I could barely see any sour cream nor guacamole. Also, the chips were soggy although I know they made them fresh to order. Overall, they were ok, but not what I was expecting them to be.

I've been coming to Taco Charro for years, and it consistently is a great spot with tons of authentic options. On my most recent visit, I had the gobernador and barbacoa Tacos. It was slightly different than usual, maybe a new cook? But still really tasty. The tacos are fried, flavorful, and although on the smaller side very filling. Make sure to ask for the special hot sauce when you order these tacos, it's not available with their regular salsa bar. It really makes a difference! I also appreciate the clean and comfortable dining areas, both indoors and out. The staff is always friendly! Don't leave without trying their flan, I believe it's outsourced, but it's still highly recommended and they have unique flavors like coconut and coffee.

Today, I had take out from El Charros in Carson. The meal was very good as well as a great portion size. The customer service is great. The restaurant is clean. They have a great menu offering a variety of foods. The prices are great for the amount of foods provided. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant is across the street from IKEA and the Southbay Pavilion which is great for walking off some calories or relaxing at the Cinemark Movie Theater. I recommend this restaurant

"This restaurant might not be the most well-known spot, but it's definitely worth checking out. I visited at 9am and was impressed by how clean and organized everything looked. The cashier could've used a pick-me-up, though - she didn't greet me and jumped straight to taking my order. My tacos de lengua, carnitas, cabeza, and asada were tasty, but a bit greasier than I'd like. I'll probably swing by again to try other items on the menu. For now, I'd give it 7/10.

My wife found a review for this establishment on Instagram, do we had to take the 15 min or do drive. It's kind hidden in the corner in a little strip mall, but once inside it's pretty big with plenty of seating, They have a pretty extensive menu with lots of delicious food to choose from. My wife ordered crunchy tacos with ground beef, and the were stuffed with all kinds of goodness. She loved the fact that you can get ground beef because not many places offer it. I ordered nacho's with Al Pastor, and let me tell you, this is by far the best Marinated Al Pastor I've eaten. It was well seasoned and delicious, there was cheese and sour cream along with jalapeño peppers. There's also a condiment bar with marinated carrots, radish slices and various salsa's to choose from. To drink we got our favorite, orange whip/bang because there's not many places that carry it. Over all the staff was friendly and food is great. Definitely recommend This place.

Came here as my meeting was in the area. This spot had high reviews. It's in a huge shopping plaza so ample amount of parking. It's at the corner so you can't miss it. The inside is pretty spacious with lots of tables. A bit basic but no complaints. The place was relatively empty when we got here on a Saturday early evening. We ordered chile relleno plate which was ok but not that good (the lady hyped it up too much hence the disappointment) and chicken quesadilla which was really good. Overall: service was friendly and food together we give it 3.5. May come again if we're in the area to give it another go.

Meat doesn't look appetizing. Even the rice looks old.

Wish I liked this place and give it 5 stars. Unfortunately it was disappointing from the pickled carrots, radishes, tacos and soup of the day. The pickled carrots and radishes looked so old, yuck. The salsa and lemons were okay. Let's get to the tacos. Before I got to the table we were sitting at, the tortilla was falling apart. The buche meat was good, but the lengua had no flavor. The soup of the day was horrible. The meat tasted weird like they used the meat from another type of dish cleaned it out and put it in the soup. I tried to eat the veggies but couldn't even eat that. It all went to the trash (soup). My friend ate the falling apart tacos. It's obvious that I won't return back to this place. The place looked so nice and clean. It had a nice vibe. But I literally threw away my food.

Yall know I always got a story right OMGGGGGG....This Place is the best there is no doubt ...this place don't know it but they may as well charge me rent cause they are definitely gonna see more of me in here ....its a cool lil spot in a strip mall it's very clean the Customer Service is very good and they have the best Mexican food I've ever had very authentic and delicious and priced just right Ok so I got the Chicharron Tacos and I also got a Cabeza taco...hands down literally the best I've had my son got Super Fries and they were amazing my friend daughter got enchiladas and everyone's food was absolutely delicious....If its delicious authentic Mexican food you want this is where you wanna be

This spot is a hidden gem! The food at El Taco Charro is very tasty -- packed with flavor and made fresh. You can really taste the quality in every bite. I've tried several items on the menu and haven't been disappointed once. The service is just as good as the food. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. It's the kind of place where you feel right at home. Another thing I really liked is the seating options -- both indoor and outdoor areas are clean, comfortable, and give off a relaxed vibe. I sat outside and really enjoyed the fresh air with my tacos. Highly recommend if you're in the area and craving some solid Mexican food with good vibes!

Seating: usually like to decide beforehand if I want to sit on the patio or inside. Most of the time, I prefer the patio, and that's what we ended up with. Service: Staff immediately offered the heater, which I readily agreed to. Two people spoke and helped us out outside of the waitress, meaning they were constantly checking in on us. This checks out similar to the service I received last time I was here. Food: We had nachos. I had mole and the chido way cocktail. My boyfriend had dark Mexican lager and cochinitta pork dish. I was really happy with our The food was excellent, and my cocktail was truly exceptional. It was on par with some of the best fancy cocktail bars I've visited, yet prices were more reasonable, typical of a restaurant. The mezcal was smoky and delicious. I used to have tacos from the taco truck across the street from me when I lived in San Pedro and they were just perfect, simple and on point. I think I had that idea when I ordered the taco, but it wasn't really what I expected. It was bigger and looked beautiful, but the amount of spice was extremely high, which didn't even let me taste the flavor. And on top of it, the salt felt off too. Too much spice, not enough salt. This is an "order at the counter and they bring it out to you" type of place. The name "& cantina" makes me think you be sat down and someone takes your order. A tad confusing. Let me start with the service. The cashier was friendly but didn't give me any time to decide if I wanted a receipt before declining it on her end. It's a pet peeve. The place was empty. The menu is hard to read and the printed/laminated menus are poorly printed making them difficult to read. They seem to be promoting rolled tacos (aka taquitos) but this says "Blue Burro Burritos." I went with a burrito. It just contained carne asada, guac and pico. No rice. No beans. No cheese. All are extra. It's served with chips and a drink if you get the combo. They do give tiny portions of salsa on the side. The burrito itself looked like it had been on Ozempic for a few months. It tasted fine but just didn't seem plump. The chips were crispy, salty (in a good way) and tasted fresh but there wasn't anything to really dip them in. The salsa they served are in tiny cups so you can't get the chip in it. Honestly, they felt more like hot sauces. The habanero was okay, not really that spicy. The green one was too vinegary for my taste. The place was clean and they had loud music playing in the background. It was empty when I got there and considering all the ingredients in my burrito seemed precooked (like Chipotle), it took a while for the food to come. I went to the beverage bar and the different flavors of the non-soda beverage options had unnatural colors. The horchata looked like got into a fight with a Smurf and lost. The strawberry aquafresca was an unnatural milky opaque red. The cucumber seemed just a bit too neon green. The first two were not to my liking. The cucumber was refreshing but tasted like it contained a LOT of sugar. It was also annoying they didn't have any signs what was what. Back to the service. I had some chips left but went to get a refill on my beverage and the worker there took my food away assuming I was done. I caught her just before she left the dining area and asked her to return the food. She apologized. I think they can/should wait until someone leaves the establishment or at least ask. The combo was about $17. Bottom line: will I return? I would not come here on my own. I think the food is pricey for what it is. However, if I was with others who wanted to come here, I wouldn't say no. There are just better Mexican food restaurants in the area.

I'm short, so my feet don't reach the ground and the edge of the seat that curves upward was uncomfortable for my legs as they were dangling. Short person problem. I would definitely return again for Fish Tacos Wednesday! We each had 2 tacos and shared the Chips with Guacamole & Salsa. Our total came out to $14.21 ... now that's a real deal!!

First time going to this place and the girl working there just ignored me trying to place an order at the counter. Second time another worker ignored me for pickup order. I stood there after she helped another customer with her pickup order and she just walked away. The bleached hair lady kept waving her hand at me to wait while she was boxing up orders coming out of the kitchen. My order was already at the pickup station but she chose to ignore me 10min. All she had to do was give me my order that was already done and go back to boxing up orders coming out. Food is good but don't expect any type of customer service at this location. Worst customer service with two different girls working here. Time to find another place

An additional landmark--"Malamalama Ole Lalolagi" Church, is across the street. Mexico is a large country. As such there are many regional cooking styles. Barriers to entry are relatively low; so, if someone feels that they have good recipes, they can open their own business. The plus side is that in Southern California, we have access to a variety of "Mexican" food. I have had many good meals in small family restaurants. But a lot of small restaurateurs don't have a lot of capital; as such, decor is an afterthought. While not polished, the owners of Flores Cafe have put a lot of effort into decoration. The interior walls are covered with portraits of entertainment personalities, with a Día de los Muertos overlay. It's probably worth at least one visit to go and see. Service at some smaller restaurants is sometimes wanting. The waiter and waitress were outfitted professionally in black jeans and black dress shirts. The table service offered was also good. On this occasion, I ordered the carne asada burrito; rice, with no beans ($12.99); covered in the red sauce ($3.99). With a Pepsi ($5.99) and tax ($2.40), my ticket was $25.37 before gratuity. The texture of the food on the plate was a bit rustic; but I think this is attributable to cooking style. Overall, the taste was good; the overall size of the burrito, and its contents, was reasonable in the current environment. I took lunch, mid-day, mid-week; so, I can't comment on their promotional events, like karaoke,

I went early enough (11:15ish) prior to the lunch crowd and was the 2nd customer in the restaurant. I was immediately greeted by a server whom quickly took my order and brought chips and salsa to my table. I ended up ordering the two hard shell taco combo with rice and beans and a fountain soda. The food was ok (not the worst); however, very pricey: 16.99 for the taco plate and 4.99 for my fountain drink! With tax and before tip it came to 24 bucks! I definitely won't be eating here again. Service was great and the servers were friendly enough and very efficient but overall not worth the price. Side note: this is a great place for large parties. Parking is tight except around the side of the bldg. Decor is dark inside almost like Dia de Los Muertos type!
