    Empanadas : Assorted

Food ok. We had the empanadas: Chorizo and cheese, Spinach and Cheese and Ropa Vieja . All good options for a quick bite. Service not great. Outdoor seating was nice and it's situated right at the heart of Little Havana. But I'm sure we could have found a better place to get a bite to eat.

Great service! Got Cubana which was great and the seafood stew which is delicious with the hot sauce! Also got carne and chorizo empanada and the chorizo was yummier!

Just an ok restaurant. Good service on a busy Sunday afternoon. Food had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. I ordered the ropa vieja empanada and the lechon empanada and didn't care for them. Better in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Agua Fresca was $9 and nothing special about it. Live music playing, casual ambiance. I don't think I would consider coming here again. Pricey...

Here's your review with corrected grammar and flow: "Hello Yelpers! Quick review of this spot: The food was good, and the price wasn't bad for being on famous Calle Ocho. It was delicious! I had a regular breakfast with eggs, homemade potatoes, and ham, which came with coffee with milk and toasted Cuban bread, plus an extra order of eggs. My cousin ordered a BLT (bacon, lettuce, tomato), which he said was delicious and looked great in the photos. The server, an older lady, was attentive, as were the other staff, which was nice since it was empty when we arrived. She even shared the secret to a good Cuban cafe con leche (coffee with milk) - a big plus! The ambiance feels very Miami, modern Cuban with the classic rooster at the door and wooden seating. Definitely recommend if you're from out of town!".

We were visiting Miami exploring Little Havana when we decided to stop here for lunch because of reviews. Big mistake! The place was busy, but we sat for over 20 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. She eventually took our order, but we never received our drinks and no one checked on us again. Meanwhile, people around us were being seated, getting drinks, and getting their food. My friend tried to say something to another server, but it didn't seem to go anywhere. The whole experience felt awkward and unwelcoming, so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere for lunch. Definitely disappointing.

Well known place by locals. Was told this place been here for over 40 years??? Many movies have been filmed here too. Tried their coffee and beef empanada. They were one of the best beef empanada I had. Full of juicy beef filling. Their hot sauce really elevated the empanadas tasting.

Came here around lunch time on a Friday. This is such a cool Miami Cuban vibe spot with a lot of history, they've filmed scenes here from war dogs, power, and Ballers with The Rock Dwayne Johnson. When I went, they had live music playing; it was so lively and fun. I sat at the bar and kept seeing all these amazing looking sandwiches coming out for different tables. I ended up getting the steak sandwich with a mojito. mojitos are a must in Little Havana. Everything was delicious and fresh. the atmosphere was great; it gives you that authentic local feel.

I was on a walking tour of Little Havana in Miami and happened to find this cute coffee window. Had to try the Cafe Cubano and a chicken empanada. Most Cuban restaurants have a walk up window just for coffees and snacks. My order was taken quickly by a friendly server behind the window and was ready promptly. The Cafe Cubano was served as it should be, hot and sweet. I loved the empanada too. It was loaded with chicken and veggies. A definite must try in Miami!!!

Being a Miami native, I remember little havana being run down and not a tourist place, and el pub has been there since I was a kid. So visiting town, we decided to stop for some cuban food for old memories. We ordered a churassco and a fritanga for mains, then quarto leche and arroz fon leche for dessert. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious and just like i remember 30 years ago. While little havana is very different, the food still hits the same.

First time in Little Havana. Incredible sandwich. Homemade bread. Excellent service. And I was surprised at the price. More than reasonable. Can't wait to go back if I've ever hear again.

What do you do after you get into Miami late at night after a long, hard day of travel? You go to Little Havana and have a midnight dinner at El Pub. My hubby and I are on vacation, and our flight from Los Angeles to Miami was long and hot. It took us over an hour to walk through the Miami airport and get a rental car. It was 11:40pm by the time we got checked into our hotel room. But Little Havana was lively at midnight, with music blaring, people out and about, and a balmy breeze in the air. El Pub gave really friendly service and a platter of packed empanadas. We tried chicken, beef, ham and cheese, and guava and cheese empanadas. We also had a shrimp cocktail and a plate of sweet fried plantains. The empanadas were well seasoned and loaded with meat. They were definitely good empanadas. The shrimp cocktail, while not tremendously generous (only six shrimp), was nice and fresh. The fried plantains were my favorite thing on the table. They were just perfect. My favorite of the empanadas was the guava and cheese. My favorite of the meat empanadas was the beef. Hanging out at El Pub and experiencing the boisterous, zesty flavor of Little Havana at midnight was a great way to start our vacation.

The shop is small with only the shared outdoor seating with other nearby restaurants. The Pan Con Bistec was very tasty and I liked the crispy bits inside. The flavor of the sauce could have been more pronounced but otherwise a really good sandwich. The Pan con Lechon was okay overall because it tasted very one note flavor and texture wise. The meat was moist and tender but I preferred the Bistec and the Cubano. They also provided a garlic dipping sauce which was very flavorful. However I felt that it overpowered a lot of the sandwich flavors. I also got the Mamey Batida which was smooth and subtle with its sweetness. My first time having a Batida and I really liked the consistency but will probably be choose a different flavor next time.

I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
