Food ok. We had the empanadas: Chorizo and cheese, Spinach and Cheese and Ropa Vieja . All good options for a quick bite. Service not great. Outdoor seating was nice and it's situated right at the heart of Little Havana. But I'm sure we could have found a better place to get a bite to eat.
Great service! Got Cubana which was great and the seafood stew which is delicious with the hot sauce! Also got carne and chorizo empanada and the chorizo was yummier!

Better in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Agua Fresca was $9 and nothing special about it. Live music playing, casual ambiance. I don't think I would consider coming here again. Pricey...

We were visiting Miami exploring Little Havana when we decided to stop here for lunch because of reviews. Big mistake! The place was busy, but we sat for over 20 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. She eventually took our order, but we never received our drinks and no one checked on us again. Meanwhile, people around us were being seated, getting drinks, and getting their food. My friend tried to say something to another server, but it didn't seem to go anywhere. The whole experience felt awkward and unwelcoming, so we ended up leaving and going elsewhere for lunch. Definitely disappointing.

When I went, they had live music playing; it was so lively and fun. I sat at the bar and kept seeing all these amazing looking sandwiches coming out for different tables. I ended up getting the steak sandwich with a mojito. mojitos are a must in Little Havana. Everything was delicious and fresh. the atmosphere was great; it gives you that authentic local feel.

So visiting town, we decided to stop for some cuban food for old memories. We ordered a churassco and a fritanga for mains, then quarto leche and arroz fon leche for dessert. Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious and just like i remember 30 years ago. While little havana is very different, the food still hits the same.
I was on a walking tour of Little Havana in Miami and happened to find this cute coffee window. Had to try the Cafe Cubano and a chicken empanada. Most Cuban restaurants have a walk up window just for coffees and snacks. My order was taken quickly by a friendly server behind the window and was ready promptly. The Cafe Cubano was served as it should be, hot and sweet. I loved the empanada too. It was loaded with chicken and veggies. A definite must try in Miami!!!

I stopped here before heading to the airport for another empanada, thele best chicken empanadas on the Little Havana strip. The service is great and food came out fast. A must visit when in Little Havana!!

The service is great, and this place is a great stop for some classic food in a classic area. It was nice to come here after a night out on the strip, walking around and hanging out with some entertainment. We got the two bandejas, and both of them were great. One had a mix of cod, calamari, shrimp, and some other goods, and the meat bandeja had chicken, pork, and beef. Honestly, I think my favorite part was the plantain chips: they were surprisingly seasoned, which I've never had before, and better than every other plantain chip I've had. They really added a nice touch to the meat dish The waitress was great and very attentive. We got juice here too, which I think is even made fresh; the guava was really good. Just a great place to eat, hang out, and continue your night out in the iconic Calle Ocho. read more
We were in Miami and did want to visit little Havana.. It was late and we were all tired and wanted to skip this, but luckily we did not... It is a must visit place when visiting Miami... the nightlife is really good here.. the street has too many Cuban restaurants.. most of them had live music.. Some of the restaurants had crazy and loud music... we wanted to choose a restaurant with not so crazy music.. the ambience here looked much calm than other restaurants.. Google reviews also had good rating on their food.. we actually like the live music here.. They did an amazing job.. service was really good.. Bar was open till late night and their drinks were good . We ordered chicken empanadas and it was good... vegetarian sandwich was really good.. not much of vegetarian options but we like the sandwich.. the fried chicken Chicharron de pollo was average . It did not have much flavor .. bistec de pollo - grilled chicken breast was super good ! Oh wow . Amazing flavor and superbly made . Food was good overall .. Everything here is kinda strange. Service is off, then again, this is a very busy spot, so you may start at a good energy level only to crash towards the end. The place is on the smaller side, yet many patrons fit in. This place is also a kind of nostalgic place, so I guess nostalgia also has a price. The food, the main reason we come here, is OK. Not very tasty, although cooked well. The other reason we come here, drink, is below par. Maybe, for the below average Joe, this place may suffice, but if you know what a cocktail bar is, this place won't cut it. My flan was good, the prices reflect the location, and if it begins to pour in Miami, you may have no other option. read more

What do you do after you get into Miami late at night after a long, hard day of travel? You go to Little Havana and have a midnight dinner at El Pub. My hubby and I are on vacation, and our flight from Los Angeles to Miami was long and hot. It took us over an hour to walk through the Miami airport and get a rental car. It was 11:40pm by the time we got checked into our hotel room. But Little Havana was lively at midnight, with music blaring, people out and about, and a balmy breeze in the air. El Pub gave really friendly service and a platter of packed empanadas. We tried chicken, beef, ham and cheese, and guava and cheese empanadas. We also had a shrimp cocktail and a plate of sweet fried plantains. The empanadas were well seasoned and loaded with meat. They were definitely good empanadas. The shrimp cocktail, while not tremendously generous (only six shrimp), was nice and fresh. The fried plantains were my favorite thing on the table. They were just perfect. My favorite of the empanadas was the guava and cheese. My favorite of the meat empanadas was the beef. Hanging out at El Pub and experiencing the boisterous, zesty flavor of Little Havana at midnight was a great way to start our vacation. read more
Perfect casual dinner place with large serving sizes. Everyone in our group ordered something different and we all loved every dish. Our favorite sides were the mixed vegetables and the plantains. To drink we recommend ordering Hatuey Cubana, a Cuban style beer, served in a bucket of ice. While you eat there's music, a friendly waitstaff, and quick service. The restaurant has happy hour 4-8 each day and karaoke on Wednesday's! read more

-1 star for the lack of air conditioning in this Calle Ocho Miami heat and for the drink pushing waitress. I did succumb and order a jugo de pina, and it was delightful. The waitress was attentive but I think she wanted us drunk, but we persisted with the gallons of water requests and after being properly hydrated we enjoyed the hands down (or up) Cuban food. Ropa Vieja, tostones, special "Elena Ruth" Cuban sandwich. There are many choices and it's so hard to choose but this one was so, so good and the bathrooms were clean and refreshing. That's always a plus in my books. read more
This place has always caught my eye as a local cause it's always packed and it has a very beautiful aesthetic. The restaurant wasn't super packed like how it usually is, so I decided to check it out since service would probably be quick. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. It took my server 30 minutes to drop-off water. Then she left and came back 20 minutes later to take my order. The food took almost an hour and it wasn't anything special. The server disappeared again and I had to go looking for her to pay my bill. Suffice to say, I will never go back after this visit. read more

I came out to Miami for my birthday and this was the first place my uncle took me. I was looking to try more Cuban cuisine and this was the SPOT. I had the Vaca Frita steak for the first time and it was really good. It's basically crispy shredded beef. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The onions went well with the steak. On the side I had white rice and black beans can't go wrong with that combo. I love flan so when I seen they had a flan milkshake I had to try it. It was real sweet and creamy and was honestly the perfect embodiment of a flan and milkshake combo. On my last day in Miami I came back. This time I had to order the Cubano sandwich and it was fire. First off presentation was on point. The bread was toasted nice and crisp. The meat inside was juicy and had that Smokey taste to it. I love the pickles. The fries as garnish was nice. I really wanted to true the cuatro leches milkshake but they ran out so I got the flan again. That milkshake was still good. Service was pretty good. I love how it's more of an old school vibe. The waiters were amazing and on point with everything. The complimentary butter bread was nice. Overall, this is a dope Cuban restaurant in Little Havana. The aesthetics are nice and old school. If you're in Miami looking for Cuban cuisine this is the place. read more

Local hidden gem in old Havana, Miami Beach. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Experience here is unbelievable. Service was on point, but we definitely came during the time there was a lot slower. The place has plenty of seats inside and they set up for live music with some great music playing during the dining. read more
This is my first time trying Cuban food, so I may not be the best judge for their food. But overall, I think it's still worth the try! If you like light, tomato-based flavor food, you should try the ropa vieja (beef dish). It went well with the rice. We tried their chicken empanadas, and I thought the chicken was pretty dry compared to what we tried from the other restaurants. read more
Brought my mother here after a long day of touristing. This place was very clean, large and had plenty of seating inside and out. My mom ordered fresh squeezed orange juice and it was spectacular. For dinner I ordered the chicharrónes de pollo that comes with two sides of your choice, I went with white rice and yuca al mojo. They were served in large healthy portions that I had plenty of leftovers. The chicharrónes de pollo were delicious, juicy. The yuca was really good. My mom enjoyed her vacation frita as well. read more

Highly recommended from a lot of people in the Calle Ocho area. I will say, nothing beats $6 all day Mojito Mondays so that for sure was my favorite part. Bonus points if you're actually there on a Monday, and we sure were. After snacking around and trying different bites around Calle Ocho, it was time for a meal, an authentic Cuban meal. From croquetas to sandwiches, fufu to rice and beans, here you will find all the delicious staples. We ordered mariquitas because these felt so nostalgic to me from years ago and our friends always ordering them and sadly they weren't as fresh as we would've liked and the mojo was straight up garlic (flavorless). Either way we loved our rice and beans and the sweet maduros we got. Our friends ordered sandwiches and they were HUGE (big enough to share). El Pub is a big staple of Calle Ocho but next time we'll probably try something else when we're not in a hurry. Definitely a quick place to get a sit down meal or sandwich, so if you're just casually dining or needed to be on the faster side, this place is pretty great for that. Mojito Monday, we will be back. Cute little spot. Pitcher of mojitos was good and food came out quick. However, service was very slow. Fine at first because we were just relaxing but 30 minutes after ordering drinks, we didn't even offer food. Once ordered, it cam quickly. Worse part was paying the bill. We get bill and I gave 10% because of service. She takes the check, walks away, reviews my tip and comes back to say they REQUIRE 18% TIP. I had to give another $4. No where on menu or restaurant said required tip. Absolutely ridiculous. El Pub, el no read more

Had a great lunch here in their outdoor space. They recently added a "make your own bowl" feature to the menu and it was a great idea. The food was really good and it was a decent sized bowl. I had a delicious mango drink to complete the meal. Nice and respectful waiter. I would come back here for more Cuban food and the shade of their outdoor space. read more

I've seen the Little Havana food tours stop here for a coffee and empanada. So we chose it for lunch. They claim to be the oldest restaurant in Little Havana. I had the tostones rellenos with chicken, still in search of the best in town. The tostones were a bit oily and needed salt. I prefer it when they are shaped like cups to hold the filling. My friend had the fufu de platano, a Cuban mofongo. Served beautifully in a wooden trencher. She enjoyed. The place was pretty full and the service good. They did not rush us when we were finished. read more
