Stopped by for lunch and tried the roasted pork and rice combo, which was delicious. A great spot if you wanna get some Puerto Rican/Latin cuisine in Allentown.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was such a delight! I ordered the lunch special of Chicharron de pollo (fried bite size chicken thigh pieces) that came with a choice of white rice or arroz con gandules (yellow rice and pigeon peas), a side of beans, tostones (fried plantain) or maduros (sweet fried plantains) and at a reasonable price. My date ordered the bistec encebollado (cube steak) and that was also so tasty. The food came out fresh and hot and I waited maybe 10 minutes. Everything was delicious and I also tried the banana pudding and tres leches cakes which were both so enjoyable. The vibe is so tropical and there is plenty of seating with a loft area and larger tables. The decor is beautiful and the staff were great! 5 Stars!

Delicious Latin food.

Good food and friendly accommodating staff. Also the place was clean even though I got takeout, it looked like a nice place to dine in.

It's great to have a Puerto Rican restaurant on Allen St., and this cozy one fits the bill. The friendly staff are a bonus.

Service- I'm BIG on service and the service at this family owned establishment is ALWAYS EXCELLENT!…read moreTo the point I feel like I'd probably have the same experience if actually visited Trinidad and Tobago. The FOOD- Is DELICIOUS Carribbean food. I love everything, the stew chicken, the curry chicken, the jerk chicken, and my favorite....the Trinbago Chinese Chicken. The patties are authentic and soooo good- Buttery, flaky (but not too much), great flavor and spice. I recommend all of them, but the curry and beef are my favorite. Lastly you MUST try the homemade drinks, no recycled store bought here. You haven't had Ginger Beer until you've had theirs. It's homemade and will clear you up in a good way...strong and sweet. The Lime is delicious! The Sorrel is like a cross between loganberry with a hint of licorice (and I don't even like licorice, but this just works). Sides are very good too. I like the Mac pie and the cabbage is on the tougher side but that works for me because I do not like soft cabbage. The restaurant itself is VERY clean and intimate. An upgrade from their food truck in ways that make me so happy for them and the community. I've been able to work here on my laptop while enjoying great food. Check them out. You won't be disappointed!

When…read morewe walked in at 8:30 there was a large party that had reservations at 8 waiting to be seated still. I could tell the staff was super overwhelmed and no one acknowledged us at first to the point I almost grabbed someone that was walking by to ask for a hostess. The large party was seated after about 10 minutes and things calmed down and then we were seated right away. It was smooth sailing after that. Our waiter was great and attentive. We started with the fries and crispy rice squares. Both were excellent. The crispy rice squares had the perfect crisp and the shrimp on top was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked and had a sauce that complimented them well. My husband even asked for extra sauce for his dinner. For our main course we got the Rasta pasta and the salmon. The Rasta pasta wasn't on the dinner menu but they let me order it anyway which was very kind. The Rasta pasta was creamy and the jerk chicken seasoned well. The salmon was excellent as well. The ambience was cozy and well decorated. They also give you a warm scented towel after you eat and I love a nice touch like that. I will absolutely come here again and hope to try the oxtail ragu. I almost gave 4 stars due to the beginning of the experience but had to give 5 because the food was so good.

We finally had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal at Bratts Hill. We are fans of Chef Darian…read moreand have been trying to get here since he opened. First of all the space is intimate, warm and lovely. We were seated quickly and received top notch service from start to finish. We started our meal with seared scallops. They were cooked perfectly and the bacon bourbon jam was a perfect addition to the butternut squash puree. It was the perfect bite and all the flavors blended perfectly. There was the perfect amount of spice in this dish, which is what we were hoping to see here. For my main I had the seafood risotto. It was a nice sized portion and there was a lot of seafood. Everything was cooked, portioned and seasoned wonderfully. My meal was very rich so I left very full and happy. The only thing I'll mention which isn't meant to be a complaint is that I thought there would be more Jamaican spices and touches in more of the dishes. There were some very specific Jamaican dishes but I was thinking there might be more fusion in the more contemporary local dishes. I should have asked and not assumed but I guess it means I just have to come back and try more menu items. Can't wait!

I got two plates to split, one with a chicken and one with a beef pastelito. The plates also include BBQ chicken, rice and beans, mac and cheese, and a side salad. The rice and beans were well seasoned and delicious, the mac and cheese was good too. But I'm definitely just going back for more pastelitos! LitosNY is on the back of La Nova, if I had just the address and not a tour guide I might have had some trouble finding it because their entrance is on the parking lot side, not facing the road.

I got two OG chicken pastelitos with a side of their hand cut fries; I also tried a Buffalo chicken. After I saw pics of their rice and mac & cheese, I wish I would have tried them. They looked sooo good! The fries were very soggy and I was disappointed. I'm not sure if it was how they were fried or if they softened due to the steam in the container. Either way, mehhh. However, the pastelitos were gooood. The OG chicken ones were tasty, although I was expecting potatoes & cheese inside. I totally acknowledge that this can just be my own ignorance, as I haven't eaten them in years. I really LOVED the Buffalo chicken; the flavors were consistent throughout the pastelito & there was just enough kick. I definitely plan to try this place again; the food was not bad at all for the price.
