I would expect nothing less from the famous chef that's been on Food Network shows and is the private chef of the Bills!! Ordered the chicken soup and wow! It was fantastic also ordered the Jerk chicken w/rice and Rasta pasta w/chicken they were all the same. Melt in your mouth chicken that's seasoned wonderfully and melt in your mouth pasta with creamy sauce peppers and onions. The rice & beans were seasoned well with a side of plantains and cabbage. Took some flicks which is not like me but the presentation even in a to go box was great!!!! Everything was packaged so that I was able to leave and go back to work or stay and eat on premise. I'm so excited to have a Jamaican restaurant that has a good vibe, clean and has a great staff. So excited to go back and see what else this restaurant and the management have in store.

I got the half meal - jerk chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Full of flavor, spice and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'd say I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Plenty of spots inside and out to sit and eat, or take it on the go. I'll be back again soon!

If you check the google reviews and sort by "newest," you'll get a better idea of what's actually going on. We picked up a jerk chicken meal and a beef and cheese patty to share. We also ordered a side of the escovitch vegetables that we didn't receive, and a bottle of Jamaican grapefruit soda. The total came to $39.15. The jerk chicken wasn't a generous portion and was basically shredded, with one cleavered hunk of thigh sitting on top of the pile. It tasted okay, but mostly just like regular charcoal-grilled chicken. The rice and peas that came with the meal were bland and not cooked properly. There was a massive amount of it, unfortunately. The cabbage was pretty tasteless as well, and it was a very small amount sitting on top of the rice that filled the container, maybe four bites total. Cabbage is pretty inexpensive, so this felt odd to me. The plantains weren't ripe enough for this cooking method; they weren't sweet and were hard and starchy in the middle, inedible. All around, this food doesn't taste good and isn't well prepared. The amount of chicken was ridiculous for $24, and they forgot the escovitch vegetables. Most of the meal went in the trash because it was majority rice and peas, which weren't tasty. We won't be back, which probably goes without saying.

The space is intimate with a bar, cozy seating, warm lighting, and a great vibe. They had the garage door open, we caught a beautiful breeze, and even got a view of the fireworks that night. The staff was welcoming, the music was great, and the overall energy of the place was unmatched. We started with the saltfish fritters and lamb ribs. The fritters had a nice crunch with a flavorful filling and paired really well with the sauce they came with. But those lamb ribs... easily the highlight for me. I don't eat pork and haven't had ribs in years, so this was such a treat. They were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The pickled cabbage on the side added the perfect balance. I could've ordered 10 plates of those and been happy. The oxtail ragu continued to raise the bar. A lot of places have you searching for the meat, but this was loaded with actual oxtail, almost more meat than pasta. You can tell this food is made with care. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect ending. Warm spices, ice cream, and toffee [or butterscotch?] drizzle came together beautifully. It wasn't overly sweet, and I finished it before my friend could even get a bite. The chef even came out to introduce himself, and we had a great conversation. They also ended the meal with warm lavender hand towels, which was such a thoughtful touch. I already liked Bratts Hill, but dining in took it to another level. 10/10.

We all decided on something different and dessert was an absolute must. I wasn't the hungriet, I decided on lamb ribs , a side or rice and peas with gravy, the salt fish balls and for dessert I opted for the Brulee. I also tasted the toffee pudding. The ambiance was marvelous. The restaurant was packed and the wait staff was doing the absolute best. One of the cooks, Chris came out and chatted with us at the end of the night. He was eager to hear about our experience and expressed to us how sorry he was for the long waits. He mentioned Chef Darian being on Chef Ramsay's show and how that has made business pick up. The food was delicious , the flavors were authentic and I would definitely go back for another great meal. The restaurant was very clean and cozy.

I've heard many mixed reviews about this restaurant , so i decided to see for myself. I will be honest, and any critique is for constructive purposes only. THE FOOD! 10/10. Literally, there is nothing bad I can say about the food. It was delicious. Feeding a family of 5, we got 3 different entrees and they were all good! Oxtails, Pretty Wings, and Rasta Pasta (get it with jerk Chicken), cornbread. Yams, Mac& Cheese, and perfectly cooked cabbage. 12/10. The downside. I waited over TWO HOURS for the food. I placed the order at 5pm, and finally got it around 7:10pm. I spoke with the owner at pickup. I told her, at any other place I would have left and asked for a refund, but because I'd already paid and I had children waiting to eat, I stuck it out. She apologized and said wait times are her biggest downfall right now. I asked her why that was, and she said she is short-staffed. Understandable. However, I do recommend just being honest with people over the phone. Quoting 45min-1hr and then waiting over 2 is quite frustrating. That is honestly why i had to give it just a 3 stars. But giving grace, I can admit it was well worth the wait. I am happy to see this business not only added to the area, but also to Buffalo. They are actively hiring!!! Do with that info what you will. I wish Top Class Eatz nothing but success. See you again soon!
