The meat was tender and flavorful and the mofongo, while filling was some of the best I've ever had!

This restaurant is still a favorite for pulled pork and other Dominican dishes. The service is…read morefriendly, the food is always on point, and very authentic. In particular, we like the pulled pork, barbecue ribs, the stew chicken, and the yellow rice and beans.

So, I'm from NYC and I'm Dominican. I was very excited to see this place in Buffalo, but we got…read morereally disappointed. If you want real Dominican food that you can at least stomach without being disgusted, try Latino Cuisine at the Galleria Mall. We came here and got the mac and cheese, ribs with yellow rice, and the fried pork bites with yellow rice. First, we ordered the mac and cheese. It came once we were done with our two first meals, which we couldn't even finish. It was basically a soup with a cup of actual macaroni; the rest was just cheese liquid, very disgusting, and it doesn't look at all like what they advertise on DoorDash/Uber Eats. The rice wasn't actual Dominican rice; it had corn in it. They had no moro, and when I asked for it, he put huge brown beans with the sauce that ruined the rice. Also, they only had rice with corn or white rice. The fried pork bites were really dry; they needed a sauce. The only thing we liked were the ribs slathered in BBQ sauce, which was still mediocre. The service was awful, trying to rush you into making a decision just for the food to take ages. He got annoyed by other customers asking questions and modifications. They only had one person in the back cooking, and if they don't "feel like it," it doesn't get done even if it's on the menu. At one point, it felt like we were getting punked because everyone else was getting four plates worth, and they had amazing reviews online. Huge money waste! Almost 50 dollars--back home, I'll tell you, this would have been 35 max. Everything was off from the service to the food in other places where Dominican food is common like nyc or Pennsylvania allentown people who work are respectful and make good food. They bring that Dominican experience over to the U.S, this really sucked. Sadly no pictures taken as we threw the food out and this was a couple days ago. It honestly felt like the big guy at the front was antagonizing us after the mac and cheese, every second coming over and asking if we like the food. Overall, horrible food, flies and mosquitoes everywhere at the restaurant, weird seating, and a huge waste of money if you like actual, real, authentic Dominican food.

I am definitely going back!…read more What a great concept and of course amazing food. I would expect nothing less from the famous chef that's been on Food Network shows and is the private chef of the Bills!! Ordered the chicken soup and wow! It was fantastic also ordered the Jerk chicken w/rice and Rasta pasta w/chicken they were all the same. Melt in your mouth chicken that's seasoned wonderfully and melt in your mouth pasta with creamy sauce peppers and onions. The rice & beans were seasoned well with a side of plantains and cabbage. Took some flicks which is not like me but the presentation even in a to go box was great!!!! Everything was packaged so that I was able to leave and go back to work or stay and eat on premise. I'm so excited to have a Jamaican restaurant that has a good vibe, clean and has a great staff. So excited to go back and see what else this restaurant and the management have in store.

I got the half meal - jerk chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Full of flavor, spice and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'd say I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Plenty of spots inside and out to sit and eat, or take it on the go. I'll be back again soon!
