10/10 Recommend this place. The food tastes like somebody's Little old Jamaican grandmother is in the kitchen. Everything is fresh. Beef patties are so delicious. Clean inside and friendly service. Plenty of space to dine in and music for a an authentic vibe. Decor is on point and the location is prime. Prices are slightly high but portions are huge.

The food is absolutely delicious and 100% authentic. I would recommend their service over and over again. Best in Buffalo.

This is in the new West Side Bazaar, to replace the one that burned in 2022. The new location used to be a bootleg warehouse during Prohibition. Suitably, there's a bar on the first floor! Chef Big Wayne and his nephew Kyiree were happy to see us: Buffalo was bracing for another storm (1/22/25) and many chefs and customers had stayed home. Very friendly service, amazing aromas from the stove as the order was being prepared, and a quick filling of our order. We chose to eat in the comfortable food court, open daily 11-8pm. The food was delicious! Slow-simmered oxtail stew, caramelized from hours of cooking; a curried goat meal with carrots and potatoes perfectly seasoned and tender, with mac and cheese, with cabbage cooked with a hint of spice. The plantains were lovely. We also loved the Ting soda in pink grapefruit, and a sorrel/ginger soda, both Jamaican favorites.

Absolutely the best! Jamaican food in the 716! Just enough spice to tingle, without overwhelming. Everything is made to order, so it takes a moment to get your food. Totally worth the wait.

He was at the Diversity Festival recently, a festival that was all but rained out. I ordered oxtails...yummy! Hadn't had them in years they're not on many menus. The serving was large, with carrots and potato and served on a bed of rice. The takeout container was compostable: yay! As anyone knows who reads my reviews, I don't like disposable.

Ties for best Jamaican food in Buffalo with Chef Wayne's buddy, Darian - must check it out! Big portions We'll be back soon.... To try more tasty dishes.

The service was excellent. The food was even better than I expected. I ordered the jerk chicken wings with a side of Mac and cheese. The price was reasonable. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I'd definitely recommend them to any looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine.

I am definitely going back!…read more What a great concept and of course amazing food. I would expect nothing less from the famous chef that's been on Food Network shows and is the private chef of the Bills!! Ordered the chicken soup and wow! It was fantastic also ordered the Jerk chicken w/rice and Rasta pasta w/chicken they were all the same. Melt in your mouth chicken that's seasoned wonderfully and melt in your mouth pasta with creamy sauce peppers and onions. The rice & beans were seasoned well with a side of plantains and cabbage. Took some flicks which is not like me but the presentation even in a to go box was great!!!! Everything was packaged so that I was able to leave and go back to work or stay and eat on premise. I'm so excited to have a Jamaican restaurant that has a good vibe, clean and has a great staff. So excited to go back and see what else this restaurant and the management have in store.

I got the half meal - jerk chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Full of flavor, spice and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'd say I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Plenty of spots inside and out to sit and eat, or take it on the go. I'll be back again soon!

Service- I'm BIG on service and the service at this family owned establishment is ALWAYS EXCELLENT!…read moreTo the point I feel like I'd probably have the same experience if actually visited Trinidad and Tobago. The FOOD- Is DELICIOUS Carribbean food. I love everything, the stew chicken, the curry chicken, the jerk chicken, and my favorite....the Trinbago Chinese Chicken. The patties are authentic and soooo good- Buttery, flaky (but not too much), great flavor and spice. I recommend all of them, but the curry and beef are my favorite. Lastly you MUST try the homemade drinks, no recycled store bought here. You haven't had Ginger Beer until you've had theirs. It's homemade and will clear you up in a good way...strong and sweet. The Lime is delicious! The Sorrel is like a cross between loganberry with a hint of licorice (and I don't even like licorice, but this just works). Sides are very good too. I like the Mac pie and the cabbage is on the tougher side but that works for me because I do not like soft cabbage. The restaurant itself is VERY clean and intimate. An upgrade from their food truck in ways that make me so happy for them and the community. I've been able to work here on my laptop while enjoying great food. Check them out. You won't be disappointed!

It was bustling, so service was a little slow but our waiter was fantastic otherwise! I indulged in the Colodascope to start - sort of like a pina colada, but smoother and less in your face. Very tasty! We split the lamb ribs, scallops, and island ceviche for appetizers. All great options, but I think the scallops were the winner for me! I ordered the Seafood Risotto for my main dish, and was very happy with it. The sweet corn paired great with the rest of the seafood. Great spot for any occasion!

We all decided on something different and dessert was an absolute must. I wasn't the hungriet, I decided on lamb ribs , a side or rice and peas with gravy, the salt fish balls and for dessert I opted for the Brulee. I also tasted the toffee pudding. The ambiance was marvelous. The restaurant was packed and the wait staff was doing the absolute best. One of the cooks, Chris came out and chatted with us at the end of the night. He was eager to hear about our experience and expressed to us how sorry he was for the long waits. He mentioned Chef Darian being on Chef Ramsay's show and how that has made business pick up. The food was delicious , the flavors were authentic and I would definitely go back for another great meal. The restaurant was very clean and cozy.

The rice and beans were well seasoned and delicious, the mac and cheese was good too. But I'm definitely just going back for more pastelitos! I got two OG chicken pastelitos with a side of their hand cut fries; I also tried a Buffalo chicken. After I saw pics of their rice and mac & cheese, I wish I would have tried them. They looked sooo good! The fries were very soggy and I was disappointed. I'm not sure if it was how they were fried or if they softened due to the steam in the container. Either way, mehhh. However, the pastelitos were gooood. The OG chicken ones were tasty, although I was expecting potatoes & cheese inside. I totally acknowledge that this can just be my own ignorance, as I haven't eaten them in years. I really LOVED the Buffalo chicken; the flavors were consistent throughout the pastelito & there was just enough kick. I definitely plan to try this place again; the food was not bad at all for the price.
