KT Caribbean Cuisine operates as a food truck so check their website or FB page to find out where they will be and what they're serving. You'll be glad you did. I found them at Niagara Square on food truck Thursday - I had a doubles and a Jamaican beef patty. Both were delicious and made me feel happy inside! I just made my bucket list for summer and trying all the items from KT has been added to my list. They have meat offerings as well as vegetarian choices and house made drinks. Find KT and have a feast. Trust me on this one.

I am definitely going back!…read more What a great concept and of course amazing food. I would expect nothing less from the famous chef that's been on Food Network shows and is the private chef of the Bills!! Ordered the chicken soup and wow! It was fantastic also ordered the Jerk chicken w/rice and Rasta pasta w/chicken they were all the same. Melt in your mouth chicken that's seasoned wonderfully and melt in your mouth pasta with creamy sauce peppers and onions. The rice & beans were seasoned well with a side of plantains and cabbage. Took some flicks which is not like me but the presentation even in a to go box was great!!!! Everything was packaged so that I was able to leave and go back to work or stay and eat on premise. I'm so excited to have a Jamaican restaurant that has a good vibe, clean and has a great staff. So excited to go back and see what else this restaurant and the management have in store.

I got the half meal - jerk chicken with rice and beans and plantains. Full of flavor, spice and delicious. Staff was helpful and friendly. I'd say I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Plenty of spots inside and out to sit and eat, or take it on the go. I'll be back again soon!

I was a little nervous at first walking in because we had reservations for 8:30 for 2 people. When…read morewe walked in at 8:30 there was a large party that had reservations at 8 waiting to be seated still. I could tell the staff was super overwhelmed and no one acknowledged us at first to the point I almost grabbed someone that was walking by to ask for a hostess. The large party was seated after about 10 minutes and things calmed down and then we were seated right away. It was smooth sailing after that. Our waiter was great and attentive. We started with the fries and crispy rice squares. Both were excellent. The crispy rice squares had the perfect crisp and the shrimp on top was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked and had a sauce that complimented them well. My husband even asked for extra sauce for his dinner. For our main course we got the Rasta pasta and the salmon. The Rasta pasta wasn't on the dinner menu but they let me order it anyway which was very kind. The Rasta pasta was creamy and the jerk chicken seasoned well. The salmon was excellent as well. The ambience was cozy and well decorated. They also give you a warm scented towel after you eat and I love a nice touch like that. I will absolutely come here again and hope to try the oxtail ragu. I almost gave 4 stars due to the beginning of the experience but had to give 5 because the food was so good.

We finally had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal at Bratts Hill. We are fans of Chef Darian…read moreand have been trying to get here since he opened. First of all the space is intimate, warm and lovely. We were seated quickly and received top notch service from start to finish. We started our meal with seared scallops. They were cooked perfectly and the bacon bourbon jam was a perfect addition to the butternut squash puree. It was the perfect bite and all the flavors blended perfectly. There was the perfect amount of spice in this dish, which is what we were hoping to see here. For my main I had the seafood risotto. It was a nice sized portion and there was a lot of seafood. Everything was cooked, portioned and seasoned wonderfully. My meal was very rich so I left very full and happy. The only thing I'll mention which isn't meant to be a complaint is that I thought there would be more Jamaican spices and touches in more of the dishes. There were some very specific Jamaican dishes but I was thinking there might be more fusion in the more contemporary local dishes. I should have asked and not assumed but I guess it means I just have to come back and try more menu items. Can't wait!

I stopped in here with one of my friends on a Sunday afternoon to get "a plate". All I knew going…read morein is that my friend told me they had the best pastelitos in Buffalo, and that I had to try it out. The pastelitos did turnout to be some of the best ones I've ever had. I got two plates to split, one with a chicken and one with a beef pastelito. The plates also include BBQ chicken, rice and beans, mac and cheese, and a side salad. The rice and beans were well seasoned and delicious, the mac and cheese was good too. But I'm definitely just going back for more pastelitos! LitosNY is on the back of La Nova, if I had just the address and not a tour guide I might have had some trouble finding it because their entrance is on the parking lot side, not facing the road.

I got two OG chicken pastelitos with a side of their hand cut fries; I also tried a Buffalo chicken. After I saw pics of their rice and mac & cheese, I wish I would have tried them. They looked sooo good! The fries were very soggy and I was disappointed. I'm not sure if it was how they were fried or if they softened due to the steam in the container. Either way, mehhh. However, the pastelitos were gooood. The OG chicken ones were tasty, although I was expecting potatoes & cheese inside. I totally acknowledge that this can just be my own ignorance, as I haven't eaten them in years. I really LOVED the Buffalo chicken; the flavors were consistent throughout the pastelito & there was just enough kick. I definitely plan to try this place again; the food was not bad at all for the price.
