Normally I love Lloyds but I went to their food truck on Bidwell for food truck night and I wouldn't say it was the best experience. I faintly heard my name and i was standing close to the truck and when I went up I asked if she called my name (as someone who works in service I totally understand rushes and asked politely). What I got was the woman rudely nodding and asking if I want my food. As a place that started with food trucks I was just kind of taken aback. It did not make me feel like I was taken care of. The man taking my order was extremely nice tho and I had a really pleasant experience with him even if it was quick (which I appreciated) Food was great as always but seeing as it happened to my friend and i both it was worth noting read more

My first time, walking downtown and saw the truck, so I said why not! The service and time to wait was excellent. They explained how to order and what goes into each item. I ordered the bowl, it was good, but I didn't like all the extras that they add into the dish. The sprouts and such. If you like that, this is for you. I will say it was nice to have the food made pretty fresh right in front of you. Just a different way to eat tacos. read more

I love catching Llyod when they are by my house for dinner. Walgreens parking lot is a perfect spot. Always great service and food. I've been a Lloyd customer for years. The trucks never fail to deliver delicious food whether it's a standard item or a daily or seasonal special. Service is always as fast as possible and the customer service is always great. Im so glad there's a regular truck stop near my work. read more

I remember my first Lloyd experience - Taste of Buffalo 2015, I had their Krazy Korn and a taco, and my life was changed forever. I'd like to thank the Lloyd Taco trucks for purging my picky eating habits and opening a whole new world of awesome, different foods to me. Lloyd will always have a very special place in my heart. I started following the trucks around after quickly falling in love with their burritos - I'd go anywhere Lloyd went when I was itching for a burrito, even to random parking lots in the middle of winter. I would head out early on a Saturday morning to catch their breakfast burrito special. We'd park by Canalside just to get a pulled pork burrito. I'll bike to a truck if it's close enough, and I have! Not to mention, any public event would suddenly be ten times better when I would see that green truck parked nearby. Needless to say, their food is awesome. You can have a classic taco, burrito, or bowl any way you like it - beef, pork, chicken, beans, no beans, rice, hot/medium/mild, or you can try whatever specials they have available on the truck that day. They typically have some pretty awesome sides as well, like mac & cheese or potato salad. And don't get me started on delicious Jarritos! Their tacos are small, but are only around $2 a pop so you should definitely order so, so many tacos. Or you could just fill up on a loaded burrito (my experience of choice). There are 4 trucks that run, and they also have catering cars. They post on their social media accounts daily and do a great job at keeping people up to date on where they will be serving that day! If you're looking to sit down and enjoy your Lloyd, check out the Taco Factory on Hertel (& soon to be on Main in Williamsville!). Day 9 read more

While my dining partner loves their "crazy corn" with garlic and what not, I have to be honest. Lloyd's is probably one of my least favourite places to eat in the wonderful food mecca of Buffalo. My main 2 problems with it are: (1) I find the food to taste awful. I like real Mexican food, but even this Americanized, bland, Tex-Mex meets Korean-fusion food, can be decent at times (but rarely better). Lloyd's doesn't even taste close to decent in my opinion. (It's also overpriced). (2) It's soooooo insanely overrated. Especially by the growing hipster and millennial culture in Buffalo, which in general has about as much clue about food as, well, I used to when I was a teenager. Which is next to nothing. I can handle people saying this is the best, amazing, etc... just about. I just shake my head. But when they start saying the words authentic and Mexican in relation to this, I get actually annoyed. Just stop. You like a white-owned American taco place which makes cool weird hipster tacos. No problem. You love it. Great. But you do not like a Mexican places and my goodness, you do not like an authentic Mexican place. Cool beans. Literally. Cold really. If you want real (and really good) Mexican food, go to La Divina, go to Valle Of Mexico II, go to Lorenzo's in Albion, Mariachi and Monte Alban (summer only) in Medina. There you have it. 2 reasons I don't give 1 star to these dudes, is that they're pretty friendly (and very rich) guys, and that I have friends that have literally pleased with me to raise my rating. So I'll keep it above a 1 for their sake. It's not above a Juan though. Never that. read more

Very good burritos & tacos! They're small so I would recommend ordering 2-3 of them. The fried chicken and waffles is my favorite. The tortilla chips here used to be amazing, but now they're a thick bubbly chip that seems cheaper and more mad produced. Cocktails/bar is cool too, but is a little small compared to the whole restaurant's size. read more

ok, I officially don't get it. We've been here a number of times. Had the beef and chicken tacos, the tricked out nachos everyone raves about and one special of the day (but I forgot what it was). I do see in some reviews that there is guacamole, but I have not gotten any ever, and don't see it on the menu, so perhaps it is no longer on the menu. I might have enjoyed some of these things more if there had been guacamole. It's ok. Just ok. Granted the price for the tacos is more than reasonable. But the nachos at $6 + overpriced and not that good. In fact, not really all that edible. I just don't get it. Have we been there three times when it's been having an "off" day? Maybe. Twice we found them on Hertel. Once downtown. always for dinner time, perhaps that was the "issue"? Again, I don't get it. I want to like them. I love food trucks and support them worldwide. But I also want to like them because they are employing people, providing a product evidently most people in Buffalo like, and making Mexican, which I love. But I think Lone Star is the place for me. I hope to be proven wrong my next visit, and there will be one, but if its not better, it may be my last visit. read more

I love LLOYD'S! I have never been to the physical location, but i have been to the taco trucks any chance I get. I love their consistency. My favorites are the tricked out nachos and their huge burritos. You can track the locations on Facebook by following their page. Their quick so even if you see a huge line, you won't have to wait long. The fact that you can get a good amount of food for under $10 is the part I love the most. The staff is always nice and they accept cash or card. If you love chocolate, get the aztec brownie. It taste best when you heat it up with ice cream. read more

Well I was super disappointed in this food truck. I saw people ordering burritos and the size of them looked great but I wanted to try the tacos so I ordered two chicken tacos thinking they would've been a decent size, I was wrong. Each taco is 2.99 and for that price I thought they would be pretty big but the picture I took shows 2 small tacos ($6.50) and I was STARVING after. Don't get me wrong, the taste was amazing but the amount you get for the price you pay, I thought was unfair. After eating those tiny tacos, I still had to go buy more food because it didn't fill me up at all. Maybe I'd give this truck another try but I would definitely not order the tacos. read more

Where's Lloyd? In my belly where all finger-licking delicious things belong. I tried the truck at the recent Buffalove fundraiser at the zoo. The insanely long line alone said that I needed to wait, but it would be well worth it. As I stood there patiently, with a sad, empty belly, I caught myself slobbering on my shirt as I heard names called from the truck and watched equally-hungry patrons grab tray after tray of tacos, burritos, and nachos. It was official: I needed one of those tacos. I needed to wolf down some roasted pork, cabbage, jack cheddar cheese, chimi/roja sauces, and cilantro on two corn tortillas...or should I do braised beef? Grilled chicken? If choosing among those three wasn't difficult enough, you could imagine the horror I felt when I realized that chorizo tacos were on special. What was I going to do when it was my turn to order?! Order them all, because...YOLO. And YOLO I did. I ordered 'em all. I ate 'em all. I loved 'em all. I mean, how could you not love tender, perfectly prepared proteins on the softest corn tortillas with the thinnest, crunchiest cabbage and the most wonderful roasted, garlicky sauces? It was sheer sublimity. I regret nothing, not even the food baby I carried for the rest of the night. Moral of the story: remember that when it comes to choosing tacos from Lloyd, YOLO. read more

I like the Lloyd Taco truck a lot... they are efficient and food is made quickly and consistently delicious! I like their normal offerings like the El Camino Bowl (very filling) and Aztec Brownie (rich chocolate with a spicy kick), but I also give their specials a chance too. The Crazy Corn on the cob is amazing and I highly recommend it. There's lots of food trucks around WNY, but I'd recommend Lloyd's as their food is good quality and consistently very good. read more

Have eaten at Lloyd's taco trucks several times at my kids schools, during events. Portions are very good for the price. Last time I ordered the beef bowl, which was very good. I must share that they do specials and today's was REUBEN SPRING ROLLS. Now I love reuben and the thought of a bite size version was one I knew that couldn't be passed up. Two for $3.90, and I'll just let my picture do the talking. The corn beef was so flavorful and the light, CRISPINESS of the roll blew me away. Food is mediocre and over rated. There are many other fantastic places in the Buffalo area that are much better than Lloyds

One week ago I tried Lloyd Taco Factory for the first time and it left me craving more and more (and more and more and more) and when I showed up to Barkfest 2017 and saw the Lloyd Taco Truck I immediately got in line for lunch! The menu on the truck is much smaller then in the restaurant (which is expected seeing as how it's a food truck) but still has plenty of great options like tacos, burritos, nachos, and of course the delicious corn. I decided to go with a chicken burrito and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! The chicken inside had so much flavour that it had me practically drooling (practically, i didn't actually drool). Afterwards I ended up getting one of the Aztec Brownie's and even though it wasn't the best brownie I have ever eaten, it sure was good. At the end of the day, if you are at an event with the Lloyd Taco Truck you should probably get in line. read more

Lloyd is so wonderful! It is the perfect end to a night out. Everything on the menu is delicious. The employees are very friendly and patient. You can't go wrong. My favorite menu items are the Tricked Out Nachos and the corn tortilla tacos. The burritos are also good, but absolutely massive. The tacos are smaller corn tortillas filled with delicious meat, veggies and sauces. Although most of my meals at Lloyd's have been after a night out on Elmwood or Allen, the quality of the food is impressive when I'm sober as well :) They are at Food Truck Tuesday every week and their restaurant on Hertel is also phenomenal! read more

I want to give this truck a better rating, but I can't. I was given a sizeable gift card from my co workers, because I enjoy a good burrito. I will never find out if Lloyd has a decent burrito because they refused to take my gift card. First, they blamed tech issues, and they did it again the next week. By the third week there was still no satisfaction. The hilarious part of this whole situation is that one can buy gift cards from the truck, but they won't take them. If they aren't going to take my card, then I'm not gonna spend any money for them. read more

First-timer at LTT and those who recommended the counter-service restaurant steered me in the right direction. Instead of going with the standard tacos (which looked amazing) I tested out the summer salad featuring marinated watermelon & tomatoes, baby kale, cilantro, mint, queso fresco, pickled watermelon rind, sweet chile de arbol vinaigrette. I could eat this fresh, flavorful salad everyday. I'd love for them to sell it in a larger size so that I don't indulge in their Tricked Out Nachos that we're just unreal -- pickled vegetable lovers get ready for their pickled onions. Also they source antibiotic- and hormone-free meat which I love. read more

So I finally get to try the famous Lloyds Taco Truck. Everyone here at work said Lloyds is the best at what they do. I'm going to have to say ya its pretty good for Buffalo, but not the best ever. Ive tried Mexican food in Seattle, Las Vegas, California and Dallas and Lloyds does not even come close to any of those establishments, BUT like I said, its really good for Buffalo, NY. The food I got was a Burrito which had Beef & Pork Half and Half. The Burrito was massive. Kudos for them for making the portions large. But the taste, it was pretty bland I thought. Everything tasted fresh though, but it was missing something. I don't know what it was but it wasn't there. The rocket sauce had a nice kick to it but doesn't deserve the name rocket sauce. It was more like a paper airplane sauce. It just needed a little bit more red peppers to give it the name rocket sauce. Oh let me tell you about the Aztec brownie. It was REALLY rich and the one serving they sell will last you a few dinners. You really only want to slice a small piece of it because that's al you really need from the brownie. Very very worth it because you can stretch the one piece over many meals. I hope when they come by my office again, they will have a Chicharrones because that crunchy meat with the soft pork makes for one awesome tasting burrito. Over all, I will be coming back for sure. The price portion ratio is fantastic and don't forget the brownie on your next order. read more

Prior to this, the only "Mexican" food I've ever had was chipotle ... Shame on me! I always only ordered the chipotle bowl so I was a bit bummed out when I saw the menu for llyods taco truck. I'm assuming their equivalent would be the el camino .. I saw someone in front of me order that and I thought it was a bit tiny for my huge appetite at the moment. So I went for the burrito and a taco ! I did it .. My first burrito and taco was from here. I LOVED every single bit of everything . They use different ingredients, which stands above the rest. I like that the tortillas are locally made and that their sauces are home made. It absolutely makes the difference. Their hot sauce is a must. Their meats are all so flavorful. All together, it's amazing. On Top of that, the burrito is HUGE. I almost couldn't eat for the rest of the day when I consumed it at 12 pm. The only thing I wouldn't order very often would be the tricked out nachos. I don't like my nachos soggy. But with that aside, this dish is very tasty. read more

What's there to say about Lloyd's that hasn't already been said? They started a revolution of food trucks here in Buffalo and there are now dozens of great food trucks. Their excellence goes far beyond their food, but is seen in their commitment to the community and customer service. They are masters at social media and I've been at a few of events catered by them with great success. Amazing guacamole and their burritos and tacos are fantabulous as well. I enjoyed their fish burrito last Friday along with a cup of ginger butternut squash soup -- the burrito was worth standing in line for 20 minutes in the subfreezing wind chill and the soup was savory with little bits of nuts in there for variety. You always see them around the scene in Buffalo and doing great things for the community. I've read some complaints about people waiting in line and not having their minds blown after a long wait, but really -- a burrito is still a burrito no which way you slice it. I happen to be a fan of the way they slice theirs (the fresh cabbage inside is genious!) read more

Lloyd, I finally caught up to you! With our crazy roaming fees, it's sorta difficult as a Canadian to get around the city without the use of data, therefore it's been an unsuccessful task to find your truck. However, on a stop to the Albright-Knox, I spotted you! I was absolutely starving, so I picked up the Pulled Pork + Chicken, my friend got the Braised Beef & Pork Tacos. They were $2.59ea and smallish, but oh so satisfying! I think I would've been good for at least a coupla more hours on those 2 tacos as they also didn't skimp on the meat. Shredded meats were much, much better than the cubed chicken. Tacos came in a convenient box that helped with the mess if you're eating on-the-go! As a vegan, I don't see what the big fuss is about Lloyd's. The stewed black bean tacos are nothing to write home about. I got a burrito a couple times and asked them to add tricked out nacho ingredients like the cooked onions, but I was never wowed. It was good and it was fun because they were the only truck in town, but I haven't been back for awhile. I would love to see Lloyd have veggie, tofu, seitan, or TVP on the truck. A nice soyrizo and potato burrito...that would be awesome! They have a Thai tofu taco every once in a blue moon, and it's delicious. Gonna keep it real here. This place STINKS. Tried it for the first time after hearing years of hype. STINKS. PEE YOU STINKS. Why is there and entire head of cabbage on my taco. Why can I only taste lime and why is my taco cold. Why is my taco so small for what it costs. I wish I had more hands, so I could give this place 4 thumbs down. Lloyd's tacos were like an outsider coming to see Niagara Falls for the first time, but seeing it on the American side instead of the Canadian side. You hear about how great it is, then you get there and realize it's just a giant dump. If you love overhyped overpriced food this is your spot. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, you're looking in the wrong place. Lloyd's dishes are their take on tacos, burritos, and the like. The authenticity isn't there, but the flavors definitely are. I would much rather get food from here than Chipotle. I'm constantly looking forward to spotting that bright green truck whether it's at its semi-permanent position of Boulevard Mall's parking lot or if it's at a different location. They offer three proteins and a vegetable alternative in the form of grilled chicken, braised beef, roasted pork, and stewed black beans. On certain days, they offer special proteins such as fish, carne asada, or kahlua pork. They may also offer interesting dishes such as their garlic butter covered Krazy Korn. My usual order consists of two burritos with all the fixings. A typical bill for me is roughly $15-30 cause I tend to order the daily specials too. That's just how good the food is in my opinion. I'm hooked...a gourmet twist on Southwestern food from a truck! Count me in! It's easy for those that have never been to Mexico to call something "Mexican food", and it's easy for us Gringos to generalize. This is more Southwestern than Mexican, but they do what they do well! I've had their tacos-delicious!...their burritos-scrumptious!...and their nachos-supercalifragilisticexpialadocious! Their flavors are very well constructed and they make it easy to choose your vessel, your protein and your condiments. Pickled onions get this party started right.I would not have imagined it, but wow! That kicks the flavor up a notch. If you like spicy, add fresh jalapenos and fresh cilantro takes your taste buds to places they dream of going! They make it easy to pay as well, and the wait times are very reasonable.
