As with Taco Bell or Panda Express, it's best not to compare this with down-home ethnic fare, and just consider it as its own thing. The garden burrito didn't work, as the prominent refried beans are just too non-descript. More successful was the suggestion from the friendly counter guy, the Buffito. Murky Taco, more like. As in, it's murky and unclear whether it will make you puke, or go right through you - and whether the food will be hot, lukewarm, or cold. Personal Experience: I've only been to this one twice. When I go to see the Bills with my drunk roomies and friends, they usually want this or something like it. We generally go to the one by my house or by theirs, but sometimes we hit this one up since it's not far from El Estadio. And it's as bad as all the other ones. I try not to eat here. *Both* times I ate here (and one of them was literally 5 years ago), it tasted like they had been in the fridge and not heated properly. That made it even worse. Ew. For real tacos, go to Albion and try Lorenzo's. Trust me. Only open on Fri and Sat. Chain info: There are lots of Buffalonians that know food, but those that tell you "if you are only in Buffalo one day, try Mighty Taco", or say "WNY has great food, for example, Mighty Taco", are not among them. They are what is affectionately known as delusional, and we would never be caught dead in the vicinity of Mighty Taco. I once heard someone on Yelp describe fans of Mighty Taco as suffering from the food version of Stockholm Syndrome. That would be hilariously funny if it wasn't so regrettably true. Every location of MT is busier than every local Buffalonian food joint I have ever reviewed, and also busier than most other fast food outlets too. That last point is not a bad thing since I don't like national chains anyway, but the former is a tragedy. Buffalo DOES have some good Buffalo Tacos, in fact some amazing ones which have nothing to do with Mexican food, usually served by local Pizza/Wing joints or even bars... but Mighty Taco is one step below Taco Bell. Did you hear me? I said one step below Taco Bell. Yes. I know that seems impossible. Like a contradiction in terms. An oxymoron. But it's true. I thought Taco Bell was the worst food on earth. Until I tried Mighty Taco. It is just...... so..... bad. Please, please, please stop associating this place with Buffalo. Buffalo has the best food of any small city in the USA... but Mighty Taco, along with Anchor Bar and Duff's... is one big local embarrassment. The less famous places will rock your world. I remember back in the day when mighty taco was all the rage. Now it's just meh. It's like they've let the fame get to their head. We stopped today for my daughter to pick up her dinner. She wanted a beef and cheese burrito and apple empanada. The empanada sounded good haven't had one in ages so I thought what the heck. Make it two. Get home she eats the burrito it's alright. The the empanada the paper is stuck to the empanada. She can't even eat it. What a shame. I grab mine. Same thing. What a waste. This isn't the first time. But they had changed their empanada recipe so we though maybe there was a change. Nope. I will say I prob will not go to mighty taco again. Not probably I won't go to mighty taco again the food has just become so sub par it's truly unfortunate. I miss the delicious old mighty that you used to crave. Sorry mighty. My Buffalo raised boyfriend insisted on bringing me here straight from the airport and I have to admit that it's a step above Taco Bell. Their toppings are fresher and their meat is less mysterious. It's still fast food, though and you have to take it for what it's worth. They quickly put our order together fresh. I also love that they put the hot sauce in it for you. read more

Worst experience ever, crusty soft shells, missing cheese, multiple wrong orders witnessed being returned... my super mighty with chicken medium with sour cream had about 5 pieces of lettuce and 2 of tomato, sour cream tomato and lettuce were all in 1 bite, and it was 1/2 the size as normal... these kids need to get it together. If I didn't know better, I would not return, might Taco is better than this, train your people... highly disappointed, this review was over two visits to give the benefit of the doubt... you used to be the standard to live up too, not anymore, pizzeria tacos are better and maybe dare I say it? This was my fifth visit these past few months since I returned to the area, and I must write that once again, I walked away disappointed. The quality of their food has immensely deteriorated while their serving size has decreased. A lot. And when did they start hiring brain dead zombies with nary a people skill? Used to be one would order two Super Mighty's with extra tomatoes, and this was a real meal. Now, the size of a Super Mighty is comparable to what a regular Mighty used to be. The lettuce and tomatoes are not fresh, and, oh yeah, they now charge for these extra tomatoes- which is a joke, as "extra" used to mean EXTRA! Not anymore. Now, I understand business is about making money, but when you charge close to $4.00 per taco, at least give the customer their money's worth. Sad to say I grew up with Mighty Taco, and always had quality food which was reasonably priced, but this is, simply stated, pure greed and carelessness. Oh, Boston friends. I have a dirty little confession to make to all of you. Despite not having lived in the Buffalo area since 2004; I still wake up semi-regularly in a heated frenzy of mad, mad lust for a super mighty - medium with sour cream, and a loganberry. Then I'm forced to curl into a fetal position and rock myself back to sleep, unsatisfied because there are no Mighty Tacos out here. It's a sad state of affairs. As long distance relationships go - I've never gotten less from being in one, but I've never stayed more faithful either. Mighty Taco has no real competition. Taco Bell doesn't even exist in the same universe and when I'm on the left coast Del Taco comes a bit closer, but it's still not in the same planetary system. The fact of the matter is that nothing compares to my hometown's most beloved fast food taco chain. When I get picked up at the Buffalo airport, the first question that I am asked is always; "Which Mighty do you want to stop at on the way home?" It doesn't matter who is picking me up. They know. So do yourself a favor, and the next time you have reason to be in the greater Buffalo area find any one of their 18 locations. I'm reviewing this one because it's where my love for them began, back when I was a 90 pound high school girl who never thought twice about her own ability to demolish a 1/2 pound burrito miracle called El Nino. Usually, Mighty Taco is the same no matter the location. That is not the case here! I've been to numerous Mighty Taco locations before but this one was lackluster. I ordered a mighty taco and a chicken fajita. The taco was alright, but the sour cream I asked for was all in one end of it. The chicken fajita I didn't even finish. The chicken had a grayish color and was DISGUSTING. I'll stick to the locations that get it right next time! read more

When I came through the drive way it was pretty busy, that wasn't the problem when I got up to the window that's where I saw a hostile environment, the manager who has brown hair with some purple was standing around yelling at the workers for not getting the food out in time, but she wasn't even helping them after she was done yelling she walked into the back probably to go into the office, little did she know she was screaming so loud I could hear everything she said while the window was closed :( read more

I just have to say, I stopped here at 6:30 on a school night, and the drive thru line was pretty long. When it came my turn, instead of hearing the usual annoyed employee, the girl sounded really happy and pleased to be there, I thought wow, this is so nice! Then I got to the window, and the older guy running the cashier position was super crazy kind and nice too. The food was neat and delicious. You know, sometimes it can be a mess at some locations. But I have to say- this was drive thru nirvana. Thank you for hiring people who work their best. read more

Well, whenever I'm in town this is a must have! Chicken and steak fajitas with med sauce and sour cream-yes please! I only have four stars because the size has greatly gone down! I was in Hamburg recently for a quick visit with family. My mother-in-law was dying to have some Mighty Taco. We arrived to the restraurant around 7pm and already there was a long line outside for the drive-thru. We went inside and no one was at the ordering line until we said something. We placed our order and went over to the pick-up line. Well, we waited and waited...and waited. I guess a Buffalo Bills pre-season game had just ended so of course everyone came to Mighty Taco before heading home. Beyond that, there seemed to be only a few very unmotivated employees working. The manager (whom I assume was the manager from her tone), was extremely condescending and nasty to her staff, although she was working at lightening speed. She slopped the food all over the place since she was struggling to keep up with the impossible lines. The other employees worked at a snails pace. I can understand her frustration, but she was cursing and completely nasty to them in front of the public. Of course, during this our entire order "drops off the system". We asked them why they passed our order number, gave them our receipt and she began to make it. She threw in an empanada to compensate for the long wait. The peppers and onions were microwaved in a bag full of water-nasty. The food was just slop-I had two bites and threw it out. Skip this place-especially after a game!!!!!!!!! read more

Being from Buffalo I, like almost everyone, am a HUGE fan of mighty taco. Food is good, inexpensive, and given to you VERY quickly. Im very likely to run into old friends there. When ever I go back and visit it's the first place I eat at. A huge plus is that they accept plastic now. They were cash only for so long. What I do not like is how they always stuff so much ice in your cup, theres no guarentee your empanada will be crispy, and once in a while the peppers and onions are burned. If you've never eaten there I recommend a few mighty tacos, loganberry, and a cherry empanada. Make sure you read the paper on the tray as they change the cartoon often. read more

Have been going here for years on and off, never had a problem. Compared to chain taco places it is so much easier and faster to order and get your food. The employees have always been pretty friendly too. I like that it is easy to order a small or large meal here. read more
