Premium food, not so premium decor or atmosphere. Location is amazingly placed right on the lake near Hamburg beach. When you call or stop inside you will not be greeted warmly and you better know what you want ahead of time. The owner/operator of this establishment does not have time or patience for your delays and he will make sure you know it. Some people call him the Taco Nazi and it didnt make sense until I visited. Despite the harsh exterior, rambled and dirty interior, lack of pleasantry and funky smell you will recieve some awesome high quality food from this place! Worth the adventure to order and recieve. This place is like a theme park ride and your visit will make for an interesting story, I guarantee that. On the flip, if you visit this place with your dog in the summer for some awesome iced cream, your pet will recieve its honorary photo up on the wall of this place, along with hundreds of others. Haha! This place is unique. If you are a foodie or a Yelp adventurer, I highly recommend you swing by.

I had tacos here late one Friday night. I just stopped in and order the tacos they were huge and delicious best tacos I've had in a very long time. I ordered 2 tacos because of the price but for how big they are I would have only needed 1 to be full.

Besides a toddler in a car seat watching a children's show on one of the TV's. I guess better to show up to work and bring your kid rather than not showing up. The child was quiet, but we really didn't want to listen to a children's show while we ate dinner. The waitress came over shortly after we sat down, brought us chips and salsa & took our drink order. The chips looked homemade and we're good. The salsa reminded us more of a tomato sauce than a salsa; zero spice or much flavor other than tomato. When it came to ordering food I got the birria ramen and wanted a tamale but they were out; my boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla. I also ordered the Jamaica hibiscus beverage. My ramen was pretty good; lots of meat, which was wonderful! I feel the broth could have had little more flavor. The Jamaica was tasty. My boyfriend enjoyed his quesadilla, but it came out on a paper liner and the cheese resulted it being pretty stuck to the paper. I can't say that we would visit again. On our visit, I saw on Tuesday nights they do have all you can eat birria ramen & tacos for a fixed price (see pics).

Well we had a certificate to use , and it's because of these endless ads from Facebook. The table chips and salsa were dark almost as if over cooked a bit and the salsa was very very mild. We also got the queso and chips. Same chips but the queso was fantastic. Birra ramen came in a quart container, had fantastic flavor and was loaded with chunks of meat that just melted in the mouth. My birra quesadillas were good, fair amount of meat and cheese, a bit bland but the bowl of dipping birra helped redeem it a bit. The chicken wrap was huge, and was basically the same thing as the quesadilla with got just minus the bowl again a very similar flavor as my dish, just presented different Kids nuggets and fries, a solid handful of nuggets and mountain of fries. The little yelper was not impressed, I tried one and agreed ( but let's be honest, nobody is here for nuggets). The mango smoothie was the star of the show. Ice cold and quite refreshing. Also, the younger guy who was bussing tables and running food was incredibly friendly and helpful. After experiencing Mexico City I can definitely say that we don't plan on returning based on cleanliness (idk how they have a 100 score) and "420" odor. The food was good but not good enough to offset the condition of the place.

But I literally had little to no chicken after the baby scoop she gave me. And three times in a row the rice isn't cooked and it feels like you're chewing hard little stones. The new plastic bowl they use is smaller and shallower so it looks like you're getting the same amount but you're not. $14 for a bowl isn't cheap but I'm good with it if I actually get a little more chicken for my money. I basically had a bowl of hard rice, beans and lettuce. Would highly recommend driving down the street to the new chipotle.

I wasn't asking for extra - I just couldn't believe that was the portion. I am absolutely done with this place. When they first opened this location- there was a manager who I believe was training all the staff- he was INCREDIBLE. Ever since he left it's worse and worse. I honestly can't believe there is an active manager running this place. Sorry- but it's BAD. The two guys working it were very friendly and even gave us a discount for trying them out! I ordered a Juana Burrito that was filled to the brim with chicken, Sopa de fideo, pickled onions, jalapeños and more! It was absolutely massive and they got it made quick. The additions like chipotle ranch and mango salsa really make the burrito pop with flavor. I got a combo which usually comes with one side but they gave me both so I got the sopa De Fideo and chips with queso. The queso was Smokey and had a nice spicy finish. At the end of the day if you're looking for a different spin on the normal burrito and taco food truck this place gives you just that. Also keep a eye out because they have a special every time you go to the truck. Excited to see this truck around now.

I was a little hesitant after reading several reviews that mentioned poor customer service, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Thankfully, our experience was much different. Our server was excellent. She was attentive, patient, and even offered drink samples when we were unsure what to order. For appetizers, I ordered the pizza flight featuring the stuffed banana pepper, stinger, and chicken spinach pizzas. The stuffed banana pepper wasn't really my favorite, but the stinger was absolutely delicious. The chicken spinach was good as well. While everything was enjoyable, nothing really wowed me. I also tried the French onion soup, which was flavorful, though I wasn't a fan of the heavy amount of Parmesan cheese on top. A friend ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and found them to be dry and overcooked. She ended up asking for extra sauce to help with the flavor and texture. Overall, I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience the pizza flights and see what Butera's had to offer. The service was great and the food was decent, but it wasn't memorable enough to bring me back for another visit.
