Had dinner at Fiesta Bamba over the weekend. It is a cute little Mexican place... colorfully decorated and very welcoming. It took a while for the server to get to us after we were seated, but she was very nice once she arrived at our table. The chips and salsa were very good. We asked for more as we finished them before our entrees arrived. I later found out that the extra chips and salsa were not complimentary, which I feel like is different from most Mexican restaurants? The burrito entrees were very good. Lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The menu is quite large but we all ordered off the lunch menu , it is served daily till 3pm. Ample parking since it's in a small strip plaza just south of Hamburg Fairgrounds. Started with the small frozen margarita since it was lunchtime. They brought chips and salsa. The chips were in a colorful basket and we noticed all the tables baskets were different but in the same color scheme. The salsa came in what looked like a salad dressing cruet & there were individual bowls for everyone to use. For lunch I ordered the Enchiladas Supremas that was one chicken and one cheese enchilada with rice and sour cream salad. My friends ordered lunch #1 a beef burrito with rice and beans, lunch #3 an enchilada, rice & beans and the lunch chicken taco salad. Everyone enjoyed their food and were happy they ordered the lunch portion. The place is decorated very colorfully with plenty of comfortable seating if the restaurant is on a wait. There is seating in the hallway as well as by the entrance. We had very quick service and since we couldn't decide what we wanted our server gave us more time to decide. Tried out this restaurant for the first time with my gf for her bday celebration. Very nice, spacious place. Staff was great as well. They have a happy hour with some discounts, believe it is 3-6 M-F. I ordered the grilled fajita burrito and my friend got the chicken tostadas. Shockingly good! Pulled into a mostly empty parking lot. We thought we'd be the only folks in the restaurant but it was pretty busy. Its pleasantly decorated and most importantly clean. There is NOT an option to order just extra chips or I would have happily done so. With fees it cost $50 for just dips and a bag with 15 chips. They have not responded to any direct communication about the order, I did try reaching out before reviewing. We used to order from here at least once a week but will never order again. I had been to the first location in Springville, so I was ecstatic to hear of this new location in Hamburg! The food was just as delicious here as the original Fiesta Bamba. This is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Buffalo. The food is flavorful, original, and addictive. So good! They have a margarita flight which I also thought was unique and fun! My boyfriend had combination #19 and the quesadilla that came with it was one of the best things I'be eaten. Ooey and gooey with the meltiest cheese and the most flavorful and tender chicken inside. Omg. I had the pollo Cancun. This was sweet and savory and melty and delicious. The shrimp and chicken were in a mango sauce and covered with queso. Had a pretty disappointing experience last night so I have to take a star off my overall review of the place. We get takeout from here all the time without issue. Maybe it was because it was Cinco De Mayo, but last night they completely lost our order. My guess is that they gave our order away to someone else because there was another order sitting that never got picked up. We called around 6:40 and were told a 45 minute wait. When we showed up, several employees checked and could not find our order in the system. Thankfully the manager rushed it and was able to get us our full order about 10 minutes later. I'm not sure how they lost our order but hopefully it won't happen again because we love coming here. read more

A friend wanted to try this place out for her birthday celebration, so a group of six of us met here on a Saturday night. Mexican restaurant decor is generally extremely colorful, but this place is more garish than usual. And it can get a little loud. Service was fine, nothing special. Prices seem high at first, but are actually in line with most places these days. Food was okay. Again, nothing special. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. There were plenty of shrimp, well cooked, but lacking in seasoning. The portion of sides is certainly generous. I like that you can get a small margarita. It was a pretty good one, but when I ask for "heavy on the salt", I really do want a lot of salt! Our birthday girl was served a flat beer. No excuse. Not that I'd be inclined to order whiskey in a Mexican restaurant, but I thought it funny that their vodka selection is all high end, and their whiskeys are all strictly average. Really cute and festive with large eating area. Staff if very friendly and efficient. The margarita are incredible- happy hour 3-6- check out their Facebook page. Excellent! I had the fajita Del Fogon- chicken, steak,pork, and Mexican sausage, bell peppers and onions! Everything was spiced and cooked to perfection! All the meats were tender and delicious! Finally checked out the new Fiesta Bamba in Hamburg. Overall I enjoyed it and would go back but wasn't the best Mexican I've ever had. The margarita flight was absolutely delicious and the queso was very good as well however that took a while to come out. Food came out almost immediately after the queso.. my fajitas were pretty dry but they were on a sizzling skillet so I can't complain, was very disappointed there was no guacamole on my plate for my fajitas. We eat here often and it's always delicious and wonderful. The food is excellent and the service always spot on! We tend to sit at the bar and we are treated like 'regulars' and even talk often of food, travel, etc. It's rare to find a place with good good and such a nice atmosphere. So we went for the 1st time 2 weeks ago and it was good, our grandson didn't like the kids chicken strips but he is very picky. My husband and I loved our meals. He got the shrimp chimichangas and said it was delicious. I got the combination number eight the burrito with the tamale rice and beans and it was good, the tamale/masa was quite thicker than other places. Today we went and my husband ordered a different shrimp meal (don't remember the name) I ordered a different combo meal. The food was great, the service was great until the waitress spilled hot beans on my leg. She was so apologetic (but it was still hot lol) . We will be back again. (Hopefully with no hot food spilled in our lap) The restaurant was clean but one of my pet peeves is using the same rag to wash tables and chairs. Osha rules are 1 rag for table and a different rag for chair's. NEVER use the same cloth to clean a table then a chair, same cloth another table then a chair, same cloth, table chair. Thats just gross and is a common practice in all restaurants even though I know they have been trained not to do that. (This is why if any food falls on the table I won't let anyone eat it, we also keep our utensils from touching the table) read more

Fiesta Bamba Hamburg is a nice Mexican inspired restaurant in the Town Hall Plaza near the Erie County Fairgrounds. It's large, comfortable and attractive. We had great service, and while the food was quite good, it is an Americanized type of Mexican, which to be fair is typical of Buffalo area Mexican restaurants, and not a bad thing always because the food is filling and tasty.
