Excellent Vege Pizza, Broad Menu and Great Prices. It was the Thursday before the 4th of July weekend and I was looking for something simple and quick for dinner. Unfortunately, my standby Pizza joint was closed early for the holidays. I found Blasdell Pizza on Yelp - it was only a couple miles away and had a great menu. I was in the mood for a Vege Pizza and hoping I could get it in less than 1 hour. It turns out I was back home in less than 30 minutes - eating it on my patio with my Fiancé. We both agreed that the pie was made spectacular with lots of fresh veges and cooked to perfection. This place is the worst. We stopped coming here after they messed up our order three times in a row. It has. Even over a year so we thought we'd give them another try. Ordered TRIPLE mayo with lettuce, tomato and onion. Came with barely any mayo on it and no onion. Wife's sub didn't have cheese on it. We ordered online so it's not like they can say they misheard me. I don't understand how it is so hard to read a piece of paper and put the toppings on that it asks for. Came to pick it up and two boys were looking at me and scratching their hair while they waited for a girl to cash me out. I don't think anyone that works there is over 15 years old. I've been refusing to update my review based off of a bad experience after I left my first one but now that the past three times of coming here have been awful, I think it's time. Matter of fact, I've had more bad experiences than good. Their pizza sucks. It's either way undercooked or over cooked. They do have great thick pepperoni but it makes the pizza so insanely greasy. The sauce is always excessive in some bites and non-existent in others. Their chicken wings are also very hit-or-miss. Sometimes they are great, most of the time they are not. Bladell pizza has always been a great option! They have really delicious pizza and have become a go-to for me now that I live in Hamburg. I first went to Basdell Pizza as a wee one with an Aunt who lived in Southern Erie county. She fed me pizza and wings and I learned to love this place. Then, when I was a college student in the far off place called Fredonia, NY, I learned they had another location in D&F Plaza and my heart was warmed by their delicious foods. At the Fredonia location, i often chose to have the bread sticks which were always covered in melted garlic butter and wonderful. Most recently, i ordered a large pizza with double pepperoni and it was perfect. My delivery driver, Mark, was really nice and super cool also. Just had an AWEFUL experience with Blasdell Pizza. I placed an order online for delivery. There is a section to write a note for the delivery driver. I wrote "please leave it at that front door. Thank you!" Simple, polite. I get an email that the order is out for delivery. A half hour goes by (I was less than 5 minutes away but very busy), nothing. I check the front door in one of my neighbor says they came, knocked at the door and left with the order. My wife calls and told them that I left a note, they have the audacity to say a note was never left. Then they called back and said that it's not policy to leave food at the door. So which is it? The website didn't mention anything about a policy. Another phone call later they ask my wife for permission to leave the food at the door, which was kind of in writing when the order was placed. The guy comes back with the same order from about an hour ago. The subs were room temperature. The fries were completely soggy, cold and inedible. Not a single fry was eaten, the entire thing went right into the garbage. My mind is just completely blown at the stupidity here. They were not wrong, it was quick; I, on the other hand, would have preferred somewhere with a little higher quality food. Don't get me wrong, it was OK, but not great. The table was dirty when we sat down, after ordering. The menu was daunting to say the least, so I just told the nice young-lady behind the register to order me whatever she thought was their best sub. If that was their best, well... there was room for improvement.
