Imperial Pizza is a local spot in Buffalo that has been there forever, is frequented by the locals, has great food, service that makes you feel like family and epitomizes the Buffalo style pizza. We walked in and were greeted by I can only assume may have been the owner. He thanked us for coming, commended us on our choices and asked for a few minutes to get it ready. It looked to be a 2-3 man operation but the food came out fairly quickly and it was delicious. The interior reflects the mid-80s and is themed with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles decor. Ordered dinner for the fam otwh from work and it was busy so i told them no hurries and also brought a plain cheese slice to eat while i waited. The dining area is bigger and more cozy than the one in south Buffalo - feels like i can have a get together or some sort of gathering so that's a plus! Sooo the food... my slice was reheated so it was nice and hot buuuut bland. I like the crispy-ish crust and amount of cheese but the sauce was bland: not salty, sweet or anything. A few hours later the take home pie fared better - the beef pepperoni carried what probably would've been a bland cheese slice. But the chef salad was disappointing: i asked for everything to be put in with the dressing on the side - got a container of just lettuce and croutons with two packets of ranch dressing. They forgot the salad when i was called up for my takeout so possible they tossed out my order ticket as the cashier guy was friendly and diligent taking everyone's order but yeah. No bueno. I'll come back again since i like the location and hopefully get a tastier experience! read more

I ordered their lunch special today and was beyond surprised at how delicious it was! It's such a great deal! I ordered the Beef on weck and 5 wings. I have never had their wings- went with the BBQ Garlic Parm. The flavor is perfection. They are not super saucy like some places make them. I ordered crispy (extra crispy and double extra crispy are the other options), and they were definitely crispy- I would steer clear of the other two. They were perfect. The chicken fell off of the bones almost like rotisserie. They also gave me a huge blue cheese- I wish more places gave this size! 10/10 recommend. I'll def be back read more

I love pizza. More importantly, I love good pizza. What Imperial does great is make good pizza and that's why I loved these slices. I stopped in after work and grabbed a couple of slices for lunch here. I haven't been to the Main Street location before. I walked in and it was HUGE inside! Plenty of room for a party or even just for a busy night. I was only grabbing a couple slices from the slices case which was super quick and convenient. They had so many flavors made up already so I really had a ton of options. I went with the classic cheese, pepperoni, and mushroom combination slice. Everything on this slice was tasty and I couldn't believe how big these slices are. Buffalo pizza slices the size of a NYC slice makes this an incredible find. I have never been to imperial Pizza, but I hear about them all the time on the radio so I really wanted to try them. I placed an order for delivery for 7:15 PM. I ordered myself a pizza sub and a jumbo pretzel. My son got a barbecue chicken finger sub and Jim got a beef taco - medium. The delivery guy got here a few minutes before 7:15pm which was perfect for me, at least he wasn't late. My sub was pretty good, better than a lot of other places, it would've been better though if it would've had the small spicy pepperonis. My jumbo pretzel probably would've been good fresh right out of the oven, but unfortunately, since it's kind of a long ride here from Main Street, it cooled off too much and was not very fresh and a little dry. But I'm sure it would've been great otherwise. It came with three dipping sauces. One was spicy. I don't know what it was, but it was very good. My son's barbecue chicken finger sub was pretty good he said and Jim's taco was good and it was huge. I definitely gotta try some steak tacos from them. They are a bit pricey, for a lot of the things for most things in fact, but so far they're pretty good, so I'm gonna keep trying them for different items. Tacos will be next probably. read more

I'm so happy that Imperial opened another location in the city. This one is closer to me. It's a spacious inside with a huge dining room with plenty of dine in seating with a bar serving wine and beer only just like the other location. Plenty of TV's to watch games too! The bartender is cool, friendly and on top of everything! Imperial and Bocce's are the same recipe and to me one of the best tasting pie's in the Buffalo area. It's truly "Buffalo" pizza. Sweet and plentiful sauce, thick cheese and medium to thicker crust. The wings are on point here. I like mine hot and extra crispy and these delivered and then some. They were saucy, meaty and prepared just right! The parking here is street parking and to the right of the building there's a small lot, plenty of ample parking. We just got in from long RV trip. The 1st thing we did was go get our favorite pizza. A double -double with banana peppers from Imperial Pizza. All the chair up on the table as they were preparing for a deep clean the next day. We wanted to eat in. The owner very gracious put us in the dining area of to the side. Imperial Pizza has finally expanded, luckily right in my neck of the woods. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from their new location on a Friday night. I had hyped Imperial up to him many times before, so I knew they wouldn't disappoint. My boyfriend got a 1/4 sized stuffed banana pepper, while I opted for a single order of chicken fingers with their lemon pepper sauce. We were thoroughly impressed! The chicken finger dinner was huge, five massive fingers and a side of fries. I could only get through one -- definitely yielded leftovers! My boyfriend really enjoyed the pizza as well, and remarked that they've got a lot of specialty pies he'd love to try. We will definitely order from here again. When imperial came to the city of buffalo I was excited, knowing their reputation in south Buffalo and dined there before. It was with great dissatisfaction that my order was not made to asked instructions or improperly prepared(burnt) on three separate occasions. The staff give exceptional service even when wrong, yet I see the kinks that need to be worked out. Visibly clean inside the restaurant just maybe overwhelmed with business. I wish the food was as good in the Main Street location was as good as the Abbott rd location. read more

My experience with Imperial Pizza was very disappointing. The manager Sabrina showed a major lack of concern or accountability for our complaint regarding an order costing $123. The pizza was acceptable but out of 50 wings 40 were not just but burned as I was told that it was standard. I was offered $15 dollars. There was no apology for the inconvenience. I am disappointed because they came highly recommended. I requested them to be remade or fair compensation for the number of inedible wings. If I could give less star I would do so. read more

I went there last night. The wing were ok. The pizza was not good. I wished I bought a frozen pizza from the grocery store because it would have been better. The spinach taste like frozen instead of fresh leaf. It was placed in clumps instead of placed evenly throughout making the nasty tasting spinach to be concentrated in a few bites. I ordered a large pizza with sausage and a double order of medium wings. Let me start by saying the wings were by far the best I had in a long time. It's hard to find a place that will make them both crispy and saucy. They usually end up one or the other. Make sure to get them double extra crispy to ensure the best result. The pizza was very good I just didn't care for the sausage as it was not vey good quality. I even had an issue with a discount that the owner quickly jumped in and resolved. One of my other favorite things about here is you can get the food exactly the way you want. For me it was the option for thin crust, cut in squares pizza, double extra crispy wings. I was so excited to see Imperial was opening up near me so I wouldn't have to drive to south Buffalo anytime I wanted their pizza. I have now had it twice from the new location and twice in between the two times I went back to south Buffalo to get their pizza I was displeased both times at the new location with the pizza and felt like it tasted nothing like the south Buffalo Imperial it didn't even look like south Buffalo Imperial. read more
