    Our split pie
    Sparkle P.

Sooo a fellow Yelper won an award for the most updated reviews and it seemed to be for this place. With that type of promotion WHY NOT .... We perused the menu and it appears they have a lot of specialty pies you can order and the coolest thing was that they allow you to do a "split" ...yes you read that right. Pick a specialty pizza and if you are stuck like me between making a decision ....then you select 2 and split so you can try them both. And that is what we did. When we called to order the guy was like "I can do that, no problem" Steak and cheese, along with a Sriracha basil pie ... and OMG I will admit the crust was a bit thicker and on the doughy side ...just a tad bit more than I am accustomed...but the flavors were dead on. There was a great mix of spice and tangyness. The steak and cheese was delicious. It had flavor and the meat was great. I would have liked the peppers a bit smaller, but the ingredients were evenly distributed and tasteful. We have been stepping outside the box trying to find another favorite pizza place ...so I am glad I gave this one a chance. Pick up was simple and easy. The guys were pleasant and in the zone making pies. We will be back.

Finally got to check out this pizza place. We ordered a large pizza, half meatball half sausage and char BBQ chicken fingers. I really liked their sauce and it was very cheesy. The char barbecue fingers were great. I was turned off by the smell of cigarettes in the restaurant and seeing all the guys rolling pizza dough without gloves, but I think a lot of pizza places don't wear gloves which is kind of gross. Prices were pretty fair.

Another Saturday, another fantastic pizza from Fatman's Pizza! As usual, the service was friendly and efficient. I called and placed an order for pickup on a Saturday around 5pm. I paid for my pizza over the phone with my credit card and was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrived 25 minutes later, one of the employees came out to my car, with a facemask on, and asked for my name and what I ordered, then promptly brought it to my window - I don't think I was in their parking lot for more than two minutes! Now onto the good stuff. I ordered a small (12", eight slice) Poor Man's Lasagna pizza. My goodness, this pizza was delicious! To start off, I LOVED the fresh ricotta cheese - It adds so much flavor and the soft texture of the cheese makes the pizza creamy and a joy to eat. The melted mozzarella on top of the ricotta though pushes it to the next level, adding even more melty goodness and helps to keep the toppings in place on each slice. The chopped meatballs on top were phenomenal - Huge chunks that were incredibly tender and had the perfect balance of flavor and spices. Their garlic marinara sauce pairs perfectly with the toppings on this pie but it doesn't come off overly garlic-y. They also added a little herb and spices, nothing overbearing, on top of the cheese, which I thought was a nice touch. Their crust is excellent where it definitely steers more toward the Buffalo-style with being a little thicker/doughier, but this place has it so it isn't too thick and doughy, while maintaining that great chew and texture. This pizza truly does taste like you're eating a piece of lasagna! The size of the small is perfect for a big appetite like mine where you could eat it all in one sitting but not full over full (I usually skip lunch on Saturdays in preparation though :) ). This pie is definitely denser than other specialties on their menu, but I hope they don't change that, this pizza is perfect as is! A few pro-tips though: I recommend throwing the pizza into your oven, at 400 degrees, for about ten minutes when you get home as this will heat up the pizza, crisp up the crust a bit, and brown the cheese on top making it nice and gooey. Also, I ordered this pizza to be sliced into six slices instead of eight as I like having a bigger slice. I will definitely ask for my pizza to be cut into six slices from here moving forward. Fatman's Pizza once again comes through with a great specialty pizza! They've easily become my favorite pizza place in Buffalo.

Stumbled across this place on a Step Out Buffalo page of underrated restaurants to try. Its on Niagara Falls blvd and I pass it every day and never knew it was there. They have a large menu and their prices seem to be a bit lower than competitors for what they offer. I must say their boneless bites were some of the best I have had in the area! I asked for them crispy and saucy and unlike most places that don't care, they were perfectly done. I will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Well the clue is in the name.

If they sold envelopes it'd be Flap Man Pizza. If they took a lot of criticism it'd be Flak Man Pizza. If they were popular for only 5 minutes, they'd be Fad Man Pizza. And if they were owned by a guy with a moustache who ran a questionable empire in Central Europe in the early 1940s, they'd be Fascist Man Empire, and probably wouldn't make very good pizza. But they do. They make wonderful pizza. And sensational sub sandwiches too... especially the chicken finger. Mmmmmmm. What to get: Pizza & Chicken Finger Subs What else: You can give me a finger but don't give me *the* finger Not only is this some of the best-tasting pizza around (and there's plenty of competition, but this is one of the best), but they also have some of the largest, heaviest and most filling slices in WNY. And don't get me started on the price. How can you only charge $2 and change for a slice twice as big as Franco's $4 slices (which are wonderful, but still). Chicken Finger subs are a Buffalo-WNY specialty, and Fat Man has one of the best 5 in the region. Only Jonny C's, Mike's (Kenmore), Mia Mangia (Transit), and not-sure-about-the-5th can really compare. You have to try a Chicken Finger sub, medium, extra saucy, to know the true wonder of it. Trust me. You'll be converted for life. Excellent service too. The guy running this place is awesome, and the cute girl who served me the other day when I was in here (who seemed new), is really friendly too. Definitely not one of the best-known or most popular pizzerias in this region full of spectacular pizzerias, but absolutely one of the best. Try the aforementioned Franco's, as well as Mattina's and Good Guys (all in the Northtowns), as well as Imperial, Bella and Mineo's (in the Southtowns) and Mr. Ventry's & Pizza Oven up in the Falls for NF Slices. But whatever you do, make sure you get down to Fat Man and try one of these too. And whatever else you do, do not sleep on the Chicken Finger Sub. It's one of the best sandwiches in the region. Nommmmm. Get it medium, extra saucy. Trust in the Fox. And whatever else you do, make sure your slice is heated up. They usually do it without you even asking, here. But just in case they don't - be sure to ask. It's so much better when it's gooey and melty and piping hot out of the oven. Speaking of ovens, would you like a bun in yours? I'm free tonight.

My work must really like these guys. Had their pizza this time. Great dough and crust. Sauce was sweet and zesty. Pizza is everywhere in a city like this, but this is definitely a great choice! Hope to try more stuff soon!

I've had a lot of this type of pizza. It's cheesy, cup & char pepperoni, a little greasy (though, not as bad as some), with a softer crust. What makes this pizza solid is the spicy pepperoni, paired with a slightly sweeter sauce and their nicely charred but not overly thick crust. Overall it's a solid WNY style pizza.

Not too bad. Got a large pizza sliced in squares and a turkey sub! The sub was bomb. Tasty, fresh, and thick lol. My only downside was the pie needed to be put in the oven for 5-10 minutes as it was undercooked. Also, be aware the sauce came pretty sweet. It would be nice to have been warned of that but it almost was too sweet. It's pizza not candy!

Ask the Community - Fatman's Pizza

Is this in any way related to the Fatman's that used to be on Sheridan Drive that is now Romeo and Juliet's?

Yes, after the location on Sheridan Drive closed, the owner of that establishment reopened at this particular location. He then sold it to the current owner Jeff, who worked for him at the Sheridan location. There have been some changes to the… Read more

Anyone know if they still make a Texas hot dog pizza? Had one years ago with lots of onion and a mustard drizzle. It was great.

There is no longer a Texas Hot Dog Pizza available at this time. With the new ownership since November 2018, there are specials run weekly so you may find something unique throughout their promotions!

Since then, they've become very commonly put in the best wings group for locals. However, I will say that while that is a great thing for their business, it may be a con too. This is a very small dive bar. Nice sports bar atmosphere and the staff is generally very nice and accommodating. But the last couple times we've been, we've noticed the dip in food service. We showed up at 5pm on a Saturday, and when we walked in, I kid you not, there was not one order of food on any of the tables, and the tables were filled. Very bizarre. I would assume they do a great portion of their business with door dash, and it seems as if that took priority over feeding the customers inside of the actual restaurant. It also seemed extremely overpriced. (I didn't pay much attention in the past about the price.) for 5 single order of wings, order of fingers, 1 order of onion rings, and 1 order of fries, our bill (4 adults and 2 kids) was $172. I could not believe it. You would have thought we ate at Lucia's for that price. While they are still my favorite wings, it's gonna cost you.
