4.5 stars avg rating and I can see why. Had a buddy tell me to try this place out, so glad I did. Great straight forward thin crust pizza. Great flavor, good fresh tasting ingredients. Started w a medium cheese just to get my feet wet.. can't wait to come back and try a lot more. This place is a little hidden gem! Friendliest people working here too, and doing a great job. Great prices, especially for the quality that you're getting here. Place feels like a well kept secret!

Looking for a good Halal pizza place??? ... We recently saw an ad for the Slice App, dedicated entirely to pizza delivery, and decided to give it a go. There are limited local options on this newer app, so we landed pretty quickly on Tuscan Pizza Crust. We were looking for pizza and wings specials, and Tuscan's menu had several combo deals. Plus they surprisingly had a falafel wrap, a good pick for our vegan daughter. I placed our order at 5:58pm, and the app texted me that our delivery would arrive around 7:15pm. The Slice App was easy enough to use to peruse Tuscan's menu, and opt in for contact-free porch drop-off. A knock came on our door at 6:38pm. The app delivery time guestimator was a bit off--delivery from Tuscan out to us in North Cheektowaga was super fast! The food was all packaged well, and still pretty warm. We ended up with two pizzas, one XL cheese with the 20-wings combo and one medium cheese and pepperoni for my dad. I sent the medium off to our neighbor's, and we settled into our spread. Tuscan's pizza is a NY-style pizza. It was BIG with a thin crust and thinner sauce, and a good amount of orange'y cheese. The BIG slices are the kind you fold in half to eat. The wings were on the smaller side, but still meaty enough. They were cooked well, and generously sauced. Both the garlic parmesan and honey BBQ sauces were tangy-yum. Our daughter's falafel wrap was a good size, a bit bigger than a Chipotle burrito. She left nothing but a few scraps of lettuce. She was happy. When I went to check in on my dad, he said his pizza had great flavor, but was very thin. I should have prefaced for him a NY-style pizza was coming, haha. But he said the flavor was great, especially the really tasty pepperonis. And that brings me back to Halal ... I was wondering why the menu specified "beef pepperoni". I Googled Tuscan, and saw they had 70+ Google reviews, with a 4.8 star average. As I started skimming those, review after review mentioned Halal, Halal, Halal, and raved about Tuscan. Apparently a good Halal pizza place is hard to find! And that explains the "beef pepperoni" and the falafel too! So if you're on the look out for a Halal pizza place to suit your dietary needs, you've found it! :-D Overall we were pretty pleased with our Tuscan Pizza Crust delivery tonight. They were super-fast, everything came accurately and still warm, and the food was a tasty, good quality feast. Even my dad was ultimately agreeable to the thin crust for a change, haha. Other reviewers beam about their various chicken specialty pizzas, plus the menu had a falafel pizza, something you don't see every day. So we've still got some more eating to do at Tuscan to try some of their other favorites.

Found a deal on GrubHub for a medium cheese pizza and 10 wings for $23. Pizza was larger than I expected with a typical New York style thin crust. It was greasy but I guess that means it's cheesy? The wings were absolutely saturated in the sauce and I asked for them mild. I guess if you're someone that likes extra sauce on your wings this would be good. I didn't eat any because I'm a vegetarian but My son said they were just average. I would order here again and maybe try a gourmet pizza. They have quite an extensive menu. It was already late so quick was in order tonight.

This is a custom calzone (mozzarella, spinach, pepperoni and ricotta) and sweet corn fritters. They were both DELICIOUS. I also got a chicken bacon ranch wrap- loved it. And we got a cheese pizza, sweet potato pie, and peanut butter pie. My 2 week postpartum self is SO satisfied and pleased.

    Stuffed Grape Leaves

First time ordering from this business through DoorDash. I was pleasantly surprised. The medium cheese pizza NY style was exactly what we was looking for. Cheesy, thin, and foldable. More than enough for 2 people. We also ordered jalapeño poppers which were awesome. Nice and crispy. We ordered fried shrimp and fries which was excellent. Crispy and not over cooked. Really enjoyed that order and they sent along ketchup and tartar sauce packets with it. We also ordered stuffed grape leaves. We will definitely be ordering those again because they were really good. We ordered a slice of Oreo cake which definitely hit the spot. We will definitely be ordering from here more often.

The GPS took us to the first location that opened (the waitress said the 1960s) a long time ago. The building is sitting at an angle from the road so go to the right and turn in to park or go past and turn right for the parking lot. Middle of the afternoon on a Thursday they weren't too busy. We were seated immediately and waited on quick. I wanted some clarity with the wing heat. Some places hot is mild or hot is burn your face off. She clarified the medium hot is hot so that's what I decided on for an order of 6. My sister isn't so much of a wing person so she decided on a grilled cheese. The waitress was pleasant and answered all the questions we had. The restaurant itself isn't too big but can seat a lot of people. Total wing vibe. Lots of different flavors and quantities went by...everything looked tasty and fresh. They had Yuengling on tap so that's what I ordered. She had a pepsi. Food arrived fast. The aroma was to die for (ok it burns the eyes a little...). Came with celery and blue cheese. The wings were amazing, some of the best I have ever eaten. Crunchy celery and cool dipping sauce. Bigger than most that I have ordered and very freshly prepared. After 6 I was filled up...but I ordered another brew just to wash it all down. If you're in Buffalo (or the area) it's definitely worth stopping to have a treat. Other Buffalo favorites are on the menu as well (Beef on Weck sandwich. We will definitely be back, more flavors to try and locations to enjoy.

They were extremely hot, temperature-wise, and stayed quite hot until we decided to quit for the night. Yes, we had a doggy bag! The negative was the celery sticks. It is unusual for restaurants to serve both celery and carrot sticks. Many serve only one or the other or none. The celery on our platter was tough; it tasted "old", not fresh. There was plenty of blu cheese sauce served with our large order.

Instead, the place felt more like a cavernous tourist stop than the legendary wing destination I had imagined. The wings were good, but not great. We ordered them dry so we could try several sauces. The wings were cooked perfectly. The sauces, however, were underwhelming. We tried the garlic parmesan, the original, and the extreme heat sauce, which I believe used to be was called "Suicidal." They all seemed to rely almost entirely on cayenne and butter, with limited complexity and less heat than expected. Maybe I've been spoiled by other wing spots with more creative sauces and better blue cheese and ranch, but these just didn't stand out. That said, the service was great, and I appreciated the staff. I'm glad I went for the history, but based on the food alone, it didn't live up to the hype. I will not go back.

Our waitress was really friendly and told me the French onion soup is one of their popular items, so that got me excited. It came out fast and it was pretty good. The croutons were honestly my favorite part, super seasoned and actually had flavor. This was only my second time having French onion soup though and I'm still on the fence... it felt like it was missing something, or maybe I just don't get the hype yet lol My friend got the chicken broccoli alfredo and I got the cajun chicken linguine. The portions are HUGE, like you're definitely not leaving hungry. She said hers didn't have much flavor even after adding salt and pepper and was already planning how she was going to fix it at home. My chicken was a little burnt so it was dry and kind of messed with the flavor, but the pasta itself was good. I loved that they added a little bread to soak up the sauce. The huge portions made up for the bland flavors. Not even gonna lie, a few bites in my stomach said "absolutely not" which is no fault of theirs, 100% on me for going all in on dairy, so my friend ended up taking both meals home. Overall I'd recommend it if you like a bar vibe, big portions, and solid food. 8.3/10

I visit the city every year in the fall, and I am still trying all of the wing places that have been recommended. The latest on my list was Doc Sullivan's, a very, VERY local watering hole. This is the kind of place that makes you immediately remember that you are absolutely not from here, but in the best possible way. Doc's is a historic, no-frills neighborhood pub smack in the heart of South Buffalo's Irish Heritage district. The second we walked in as clearly obvious outsiders, the entire room of rough-and-tumble regulars seemed to pause their conversations, turn towards the door, and stare at us. Even the bartender (who also doubled as the host and our waiter) clocked us immediately with a cheerful, "Hey visitors!" It was hilarious and broke the awkwardness we were starting to feel. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming once the moment passed, but it was clear we stood out from the regular crowd. If you have an aversion to dive bars, this is not the place for you because Doc's is not fancy. It's well-worn and smells like Fabuloso cleaner mixed with stale cigarette smoke and old beer. I was surprised at how clean the place was, but it does have that dive bar smell and feel. I felt like I'd walked onto a movie set because this place screams Buffalo, and does so loudly and proudly. I'm not a fan of chicken wings, but my hubby is. Food-wise, he ordered a half dozen of the famous Smitty Wings at the suggestion of the bartender, which come coated in the house's unique spiced butter sauce along with a half dozen with hot sauce. He liked the Smitty wings fine, but preferred the classic hot Buffalo wings, which he said had legit heat and were "more than decent." Not his all-time favorite wings, but still tasty and meaty enough to earn his respect. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was massive. It was a fried chicken breast patty on a super soft, fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, and onions, tossed in a mild Buffalo sauce that had just enough heat for a timid spice girl like me. The quality was good, but not great, and it was basically the same chicken sandwich you can get at dozens of places around town (it was very similar to the same menu item at the Anchor Bar, for example). The fries were nothing special, and they tasted like regular old french fries you'd get at your local deli. They were freshly fried, hot and crispy, and we both appreciated that malt vinegar was already on the table. We had a good experience at Doc Sullivan's, but agreed that we would not go out of our way to eat here again. I wouldn't call it a must-do for foodies, but I'm still really glad we went. While the food wasn't all that memorable, it felt like a true local Buffalo experience that you don't get at polished, tourist-friendly spots. This is the place if you want to soak up local character and are seeking another stop on your buffalo wing eating tour.

The smitty wings just tasted like mild buffalo sauce and the honey cajun was pretty good.
