From start to finish, this was an extremely easy process to order catering for an all-employee event. I was able to connect with the owner fairly easily by calling and requesting to place a catering order in advance, the gentleman who anesthetized phone was very polite too! I advised what we needed and when, given a fair price for what our needs were and based on the conversation I had no worries about our pickup. Our food was hot and ready when they said it would be and staff even helped load it in our company van. Our food was clearly labeled and packaged so that we were able to set up, serve quickly and store some in our warmers. The pizza was cut into even portions and the wings were so plans juicy and sauced well! The food was delicious and we had so many coming back for 2nds. I have been searching high and low for a sweet sauce pizza in Williamsville for a decade now - which led me here, as they had sweet sauce as an upcharge and I didn't care - I was willing to pay the .99 cents to avoid a 40 minute round trip to my other favorite places with sweet sauce. Unfortunately, my hunt did not end here as it was not what I expect when I order sweet sauce; HOWEVER it was still fantastic sauce and the other items I ordered were great too. Let's start with my order: you can go to their website and select pick up or delivery. I selected pick up and the website does tell you what time to expect your food ready. In addition, you can join their rewards program. Their website is excellent, with very clear descriptions- and that includes the rewards! I ordered the small cheese pizza with sweet sauce, 10 wings medium, and funnel fries. Everything was delicious and filling! I'll start with my favorite: the funnel fries! Outside of a carnival-like settings, it's hard to find a good funnel cake. I often find them to bread like and chewy. These here at pizza works were the best I've had outside of the usual settings. You can get powdered sugar OR cinnamon sugar. I do recommend them for a sweet treat! Next, the wings! I love my wings super super crispy! Pretty much dried out lol. Although I haven't found a place to make them this way, I will say they were at least crispy, not soggy at all. The flavor was great and they were meaty. No taste of old fryer oil which is an issue I've had too many times at other places. I actually rarely order wings anymore because I can make them exactly as I like them in the air fryer; but I have no regrets with my wings super order here and I would order again. They come with homemade blue cheese and a bag of carrots. Lastly the pizza: now as I said, there was an upcharge for the sweet sauce. This was odd to me. I've never seen an upcharge. But I paid it. What I will say is, whenever I order with sweet sauce from anywhere, I take a bite in my car to make sure they used the right sauce. I honestly could not tell this pizza had sweet suace or not. The best way to describe this, is that it tasted like a regular sauce but maybe a little sweeter versus robust. It was nothing like I was craving (or expecting). For comparison... when I order sweet sauce ... I expect something like papas pizza oven, marks pizza, or pizza oven in Lockport. This place is nowhere near that level of sweetness. I actually went back in to confirm it was sweet sauce and the gentleman confirmed it was and explained the difference between their regular sauce and their sweet sauce. I was bummed it wasn't what I was craving - HOWEVER, the sauce was EXCELLENT! I would be glad to eat their pizza again any-day - I just wouldn't order it when I am craving the sweet sauce I am accustomed to. There is plenty of seating here and a big TV. It was nice and clean and I found the customer service to be great and friendly, even when I came back in to confirm the pizza had the sweet sauce. The menu is large. There are daily specials. Love their personal pizza options which are perfect for date night when my partner and I are looking for something different to eat. The chicken fingers have always been excellent and tend to be on the saucier side so be prepared to have messy fingers or to pull out some silverware. I didn't really care for the wings, I guess mild is a judgmental thing. Some of the folks in my party thought they were great wings. In my opinion, roll a dice. My major complaints is that when I complained about being forced to make a decision about a tip whoever was behind the counter gave me a hard time about my saying sorry what did you do for me to earn the tip. My husband and I have been going to Pizza Works a few times a week for over the 10 years. He husband likes the steak sub. I'm not a fan of their pizza. The sauce is on the bitter side and cheese is like one used on a frozen pizza. I go anyways. On our most recent trip, Jim,the owner, made sure we didn't receive the lunch discount because we came in a little after 3. It's upsetting because he didn't value the relationship with long standing customers. He has a good business. Location and parking are good. The sauce and cheese is good but really nothing special for me. They don't skimp on toppings which is nice too! 5/5 on staff (hence 4/5 overall) Fantastic and friendly, and quick! I has some pizza slices and a sub recently and have eaten at PW several times in 2018. The Pizza I had recently was not very good, average at best . It was Luke warm though it had been in a warmer , not very flavorful. Crust leaves little to be desired, Id bet the crust is pre baked pre fab frozen stuff. The sub I had was decent enough . Definitely nothing to get excited about. I live nearby and didnt want to drive farther to get the same kind of food. Im not sure if ill do that regularly given that the food isn't too good. The staff here and the service was much better than the food. That sets off alarm bells for me as a customer. There are SO many independent local pizza and sub shops to chose from, so the Pizza Works food is kinda MEH at best when compared to other area independent restaurants . Because pizza has been up all night, trying to get that rich, it's been work, work, work, work, working on its flavour. I was last here about 6 months ago. I've eaten from here maybe 10 times total, usually delivery but a few times as a walk-in (not the spiritual kind). One of my best friends' work place always orders pizza from here religiously, too, and it's actually pretty good... good wings too. I think so, and all of the slightly portly employees do also. I have a number of issues with this business. #1 expect be made fun of, harassed, or treated like your business does not matter by THE OWNER of the business. He is a complete jerk and is often taking orders at the front of the Resturant. This is not a feel-good place by any means. #2 The have the idea that not having a garbage can in their store front is a good idea, so they can clean the tables, and every time I am in there, the only tables available have someone else's trash all over them. Not appealing. #3 one of the main reasons I went to this business was the great deal created by the lunch specials menu. Well, they recently redeveloped it and it's really not a deal any more and unless you are getting a cheese sub, any of the 300 other pizza sub shops in the Buffalo area are about the same price and probably better. read more

I have been a loyal Pizza Works customer since I was kid--I live 2 minutes away. Normally, the pizza is very good and, though I'm not a big fan of their wings, their fingers have always been amazing. This past week, I ordered a single finger crispy and medium. I picked them up and got them home (again 2 minutes away) and began eating as soon as I walked in. These fingers tasted like they'd sat in fryer oil for an hour! They literally leaked grease! I couldn't eat more than one. I ended up throwing out my $11 order of chicken fingers and was furious. Not sure if this is our only revisit since, but here's details to add: - them cajun wings are hot, not messing around. - enjoyed their white pizza - WNY/Buffalo style (rather than NYC) - great low priced cookies at the counter They do have a great deal on 30 wings and sheet pizza (cheese + 1 topping) for $45, but given that we went cajun, bbq, mild on our wings and went white on the pizza, we wound up paying the non-deal/a la carte price. Ventured here with my friend and my 2 year old on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00. We had promised my daughter pizza since she had been so good on the errands we ran, and the first place we tried was having issues with their oven. Using Google, we found Pizza Works. lucky us. I was expecting a small take out pizza joint, with one plastic table by a window. I was pleasantly surprised to find an area to order, and on the left, a full dining room with counter height tables and booths. Pizza works was able to give my two-year-old the pepperoni pizza she was hoping for. I think the slice only cost $2. My friend chose a wrap and side salad, and I had one of the best chicken finger Subs I have ever had. The bread felt like it had just been baked. The chicken finger was a perfect buffalo chicken finger and cooked to perfection. The prices were great too. The lunch combo, which included a choice of salad, fries, or chips, and a drink, was an extremely reasonable $7. Another nice little Park is that be employees bring your food to your table, so you don't have to keep getting up. They also have a Pepsi pop machine that allows you to add flavors like cherry or vanilla to your drinks. Fun little perk. For a pizza joint, actually for anywhere, this place was Immaculate. The tables were clean, the ordering area was clean, and the bathroom was spotless. This is a very important component to any restaurant, and to be honest, the first place we stopped did not have that situation. The gentleman who took our order was not only patient but polite, friendly, and accommodating. He made sure my daughter got her booster seat. I'm pretty sure he got it for us himself. Here for a quick dinner take out during the COVID 19 crisis and as always, PWE does not disappoint. Fast friendly service. My wife loves the cheeseburger sub but my favorite is the steak in the grass. Have to love the garlic! Fresh soft bread that hold the meat and veggies well without getting soggy. Best of all though? French fries. Not Cajun though you can get them that way. Food temp is good even when taking home as they wrap it with care. This is one of our favorite places as the pizza has a delicious crust and traditional or sweet sauce to choose from. I live in DC now, but whenever I visit family Williamsville, I go to Pizza Works twice: once for a turkey club sub lunch special, and once for a takeout dinner for the family--a large mushroom/green peppers pizza and an order of medium drumsticks. I remember when it was Santora's and the pizza was almost as good but the sauce was a little too sweet. I think they've perfected everything now, as I've never been there and not gotten a great meal. The crust is always crisp, the cheese goeey and creamy, and the veggies cooked just right. It was good enough to have since gone back twice for dinner within this two week period. The service is friendly, the place is immensely clean, and the menu is quite large in terms of offerings. I can only speak to the pizza, wings, fingers, and salad but all were very good, large portions, and fresh ingredients. The only recommendation I can make is if you don't like your fingers/wings slathered in sauce, ask them to go light on the sauce. Regular menu prices are very reasonable. Our go to here is a cheese and pepperoni pizza with their sweet sauce! Their sweet sauce changes up your typical pizza with a flavorful sweet base and if you haven't tried it yet, you need to! What I like most about this place is their customer service and their consistency when reordering. It didn't look nearly as dank as the one in the photo someone else shared - but you know what they say, the internet is full of lies and cannot be trusted (I'm onto you, Skynet). They also lose points for being open until 10 but for some reason refusing to allow pickups past 8:45. Only being open until 10 on a Friday is also pretty lame - what are they, MY GRANDMA?!?! Ever since the new owners took over the quality has taken a serious nose dive. A few months back I ordered a large pizza with mushrooms...the mushrooms were about a SMALL handful worth...right in the middle, nowhere else. Plus the sauce was a good 3" from the edge. I basically paid for dough. Tonight I ordered a half sheet pizza, half cheese & pepperoni and the other half cheese & mushrooms. There was a SMALL handful of mushrooms in the corner...that was it. I also ordered a double order of wings, sub, fries and funnel cake fries. Spent $75 got a lousy pizza and they forgot the funnel cake fries.
