As with most sub places, you can only hope your order is made correctly when being delivered. It's not like they can just remake it. Well....DiBella's is right there with every other sub place when it comes to screwing up an order. My wife ordered "The Cowboy" which is supposed to have chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce. As you can see from the attached photo, there IS chicken and a little spurt of BBQ. Cheddar cheese? Nope! Bacon? Nope! My sub had a nice thick pile of meat in the center of the bread but none on the ends. Maybe I should have specified where I wanted it? I guess we just got the "special" subs only available on Friday the 20th. Thanks anyway DiBella's. We'll just continue to get our orders screwed up elsewhere....for a lot less money. read more

Due to COVID-19, I didn't dine in to get the atmospheric experience, but the service and pickup was a breeze and I got two free cookies for signing up for their free rewards programs. The full moon has really outdone itself this month. Our Dibella's journey started last month on Valentine's Day, because I was very insistent on having sandwiches instead of some big fancy meal. I have a great love for all things bread, and most things cheese, so I madly clicked through the map trying to find something not Subway to fit the sandwich sized hole in my stomach. I came across this place, which was offering a rewards club, with half off your first order. Naturally, I was suckered in. My mate got a medium turkey provolone on everything bread with a pickle. He's been there before with his bestie (who strongly suggests the tuna) and says that he always gets this with banana peppers and mayo. He likes that they don't skimp on the meat and said that the everything bread is a must. I took his word for it, and went for a small veggie mozzarella with a pickle. I had mine grilled with most of the veggies that it came preselected with. The online ordering system is great, because you can see all the ingredients at once and select exactly what you want without staring intently through a plexi-glass window, changing your mind when it's too late. There is a cheese sandwich as well, so those of you looking to put the veggies first like I am, the cheese is present, but not dominant in this sandwich. The banana peppers were, and while they did not ruin the sandwich, they did distract me from the other flavors. While my mate may be spot on about the bread, so fresh, I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on the peppers. To each their own, and that's okay, because this place is all about letting you have it your way (in a totally non-copyright infringing way, of course). Another perk of their website is that they have nutrition stats posted so that you can calculate out approximately how many calories you are taking in. It divides them by size, small being 7 inches, medium 10, and large, well, larger (we didn't order one to measure). Now fastforward to today. I've been sitting on a free small sandwich coupon for a while, and was debating it when an email popped in my box. They offered free delivery without a coupon code. It seemed meant to be, so I logged in to order a small veggie sub, this time without the peppers. There was a small delivery fee of 60 cents, and added tip, but to be fair, all I'd done was order some discounted sandwiches and pickles (phenomenal, btdubs, coming from a pickle snob) and I was getting a sandwich for the cost of pocket change in return. I received a text saying that Christina was bringing Christina her sandwich. When I unwrapped the sandwich, I was surprised to find a medium, despite the receipt saying small. Now I don't know if she secretly upgraded me, because Christinas stick together, or if the kitchen made an honest mistake, but you bet your everything buns that I ate every last drop, because yes, it tastes better without the peppers. Also I was hungry, but even I have standards, and this place has gone beyond them. Do yourself a favor and sign up for an account to bank on some cheap grub. Then do them a favor and order again, because this place deserves your money, and you deserve a good sandwich. read more

I have ordered from this place in the past, not in a while but I've gone here a few times. It was always pretty good but I preferred Wegmans for some reason. I got food from here this weekend (curbside) and it was really good! Like maybe I'll go here instead of wegmans. Online ordering was super easy. I think it depends on who's making your sub too but it was great this time. Bread was perfect. I usually get a turkey with bacon sub and chips. Chips and a bottled zero Gatorade too. I don't drink pop or sugary drinks, it was this or water and I picked some flavor. Kids meal was a nice surprise and a good value too. Meatball for that one. We picked up a couple turkey subs here this afternoon. Staff was really friendly. Love the sesame seed roll they bake here, nice and crunchy. They put a lot of turkey on our turkey subs and it was excellent quality. The macaroni salad was too plain. The decor here is old school with lots of old school black bench type booths. (Back story) wife and I ordered hot subs. She got a Philly cheesesteak which took nearly 19 mins from the time we ordered to the point they called her ticket number to pick up. (Main issue) staff called my wife's ticket number, and the number of the gentleman that ordered food after us. The guy took my wife's order by mistake and left. My wife gave her ticket number to the staff when she got to the counter. However, since the other person took her order the staff was confused on what happened. The gentleman returned 4 mins later and told the cashier they gave him the wrong order. The cashier handed him his correct order, then proceeded to unwrap the sandwich and rewarp it in a new bag! Then handed it to my wife saying it was a new sandwich they just made. YES, the same sub the guy just returned. (This place is dangerous to eat at) EXTREME disregard for customer health and safety!!! They tired to give a customer a sandwich someone else put their hands on (still in a pandemic, we don't know if this person is contagious, tampered with the food, etc). Also, remember I said it took nearly 19 minutes on the first one and this "new" sandwich was done in less then 2 minutes. The bread is good, but it doesn't compare to Primo sub rolls and I think that's what they are shooting for. The turkey was super salty and I could barely taste the cheese. DiBella's is hands down the best place to get subs in the area. I mean Wegmans has a pretty good sub game too... but they are essentially serving DiBella's subs anyway, so she it's kind of the same thing. What makes the subs good? Good question. The bread. For sure that's a big part of it. The sub rolls are always fresh and with good flavor. The quantity of the toppings is another piece of the equation. Occasionally you get an end where the meat isn't evenly spread out. But, on the whole, you feel like you're getting an okay amount. Usually it's pretty quick to get your food, even when there's a long line. Plus you can cash out while they're finishing making your sub. So it's a little more efficient than having to wait and then pay. It's a nice place to eat in. Good place to order out. And the parking at the NF Blvd location is quite satisfactory. On the whole, only real drawback is that it's a little pricey I think. But you can get a better deal by sharing or saving part of a larger sub. read more

If you live in Western New York DiBella's Subs is a place you see often. It's your average sub shop that is much better than a place like Subway, but I would think rivals something like Panera. There is nothing on the menu to complain about but you won't find anything that's going to blow you away either. So why would you come to DiBella's then? I think because these are large subs for a fair price and maybe because they brew their own iced tea? I've always wondered why we come back to DiBella's and to be honest I don't really know but a lot of it could be that we've never had a bad experience here even though there's nothing we crave either. We've tried their meatball sub a half-dozen times always hoping to be blown away, but it ends up being just average. The one thing that we always remember about the subs is that the bread is bulky. You almost get 90% bread and 10% meat and cheese but the bread is good and they make it on site daily. Dibella's is my go-to place for a sub! Bread is always fresh and they always pile it high with meat and the toppings you want! Staff at this location was friendly and attentive. Location was nice and clean. Mayo, mustard or oil. They even have spicy mustard! Make it a combo and you can either get chips, pickle or a cookie as your side and then you get a fountain drink also. They give free refills on their fountain drinks. Cookies are always fresh. They were limited on their chip selection but they filled it while we were still there eating. I know they are what used to be in Wegmans and that's how Wegmans subs started but I would really just have Wegmans over Dibellas. When they first opened the location it was good but has gone down hill since then. Most recently which sparked my review is a turkey and roast beef sub I ordered. I have not ordered from them in a long time. The sub was just sub par and the bread was not good. Not to mention they gave me the wrong roll but that wasn't really the issue as to why I didn't like the bread it was stale tasting and tasted off. I learned recently that when Wegmans wanted to open up sub shops in their stores, they contacted DiBellas. You may not have had a DiBellas sub yet, but if you live in Buffalo you have almost certainly had a Wegmans sub and the two are pretty much identical. First thing you'll notice when you walk in here is the smell. They fresh bake all their bread, including their everything roll which is absolutely amazing. Seriously, if I could live in an everything roll, I would. The location here is large and extremely clean, and they play old timey music to go with the "old fashioned" subs. The menu is fairly large, and you can go off script to make some custom sandwiches. They also have an assortment of chips and other snacks like cookies. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty and you most definitely cannot go wrong with a DiBellas sub. read more

You can tell they take bread in building the perfect sub from their freshly baked bread to the extensive lust of quality ingredients. I was joined by my dad and my daughter and we ordered small BLT, small Godfather and Kids turkey sub pack. The subs were delicious but huge ( small was about 8-10") and my dad and I would have been satisfied sharing a small. The bread was fresh but a little too firm on top for my liking. I prefer a softer bread when the sandwich is so big. My daughter had an amazing looking chocolate chip cookie in her lunch that we were eyeing.
