They had the name starting with a 'B" special where u buy one get one half off if your name starts with their letter of the day so it was the perfect time to try. I ordered online and picked up in store which was a super easy process. They have a shelf inside for pickup orders. I got a turkey bacon ranch and meatball sub and both were amazing. The sub was tasty, not dry(I hate dry subs) and for a good deal. Its so filling I couldnt eat it all at once. I'd definitely go back to try more. Got the hook and ladder. The sandwich was incredible. The bread was perfectly toasted and crunchy, the meats and veggies were fresh. None of that weird Subway smell- IYKYK. The location was clean and well decorated- love the support for the local fire departments. The staff were reserved but you don't need to be outgoing to make sandwiches. They were nice. I was on my lunch break and had to go to the UPS store. I saw this was in the plaza and decided to check it out. I went in about 11:45 am and I was the lone customer which was fine for me since I like to beat the rush. I'm a Turkey gal and just went with a simple Turkey sub, chips, and a drink. Everyone was very welcoming and instructive of their subs. It took no time at all, toasted included, and I took it back to my office, while it smelled amazing on the car ride. Food takes way too long for what it is, mediocre at best. The Thanksgiving sub was too mushy and bland.

I ordered a medium grilled chicken sub. It was alright. The chicken was rubbery and didn't taste like anything until I added salt and pepper. Tasted a little better than Subways but definitely inferior to DiBella's. I also think the portions are small. Staff has completely lost the plot. I used to order from here all the time and it was great. Now they couldn't care less about getting orders right. 3rd time in a row and im done. Spoke to the manager last time it happened and she was extremely dismissive. I'd be embarrassed if I were the owner. Just look at the recent doordash reviews. Every one says the same thing. Staff just does not care. And owner is either aware of it and doesn't care either, or unaware what's going on. I was rushing to eat such good looking subs that I didn't great pictures but it was definitely worth it especially for the price. They wasted no time in getting this to us. I've gotten Firehouse a few times during tax season when I need a quick lunch to pick me back up. Firehouse isnt a bad choice but if you're really hungry it's not going to live up to your expectations. The subs are very small by sub standards. They're probably the "appropriate" portion size but as Americans tend to eat bigger portion, many will walk away disappointed. With so many good pizza/wing/submarine places in the Buffalo its hard to give more than 3 stars for a Medium sized submarine at $7 that wasn't anything special . It truly lacked the taste and flavor you get at your local Non chain restaurants like Jonny C's NY Deli, Picasso's, Jim's Steak-Out and Mia Mangia. In my opinion the best submarine sandwiches are served on Costanzo's rolls which Firehouse Subs does not use. I prefer a real crispy toasted roll and had even asked for extra toast when I ordered and it was far from what you get at other places. The service was good, the drink fountain was nice, the décor and fireman theme is cute. Each sub can be ordered in 3 different sizes and comes with a standard set of toppings that can be swapped out when ordered. These subs are best eaten in the store when they are freshly made. Each sub is toasted with the meat and cheese which makes for wonderful, toasty goodness. The pricing is on par with other decent sub shops in the area (obviously more expensive than Subway). One of the best parts is the decor - gear is displayed from the local fire companies in the area (Clarence, Harris Hill, Williamsville, etc.). This is pretty darn cool. read more

I ordered two subs mine was a freebie from Tmobile. The Jamaican jerk turkey was a taste experience. Smoked turkey breast, pepper jack cheese, sweet mustard sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and a hint of Caribbean seasoning. Delicious describes it well I added jalapeños for added kick. The only thing I quibble with is the turkey meat probably cold cut type but not sure if was however, a pile of meat was slippery in the subs bread so if you do order and I think you should be wary. The other sub was a full size. Italian - Genoa salami, pepperoni, Virginia honey ham, melted provolone, Italian dressing, and seasonings, served Fully Involved. Fully. Loaded complete with mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side. Also very good. The restaurant is clean and staff--all professional, efficient and friendly--were wearing masks and gloves. Also, the floor is marked with tape to ensure that the food preparation area is several feet away from where customers are located. I used to frequent my local Firehouse Subs in Lakewood, CO and really liked it so I was super happy when I heard Clarence was getting a Firehouse! Their sub rolls are fresh and delicious, they use Boar's Head cold cuts, and they have a really cool digital drink machine with ENDLESS diet options. LOVE. I had the #9, Firehouse Hero with ham, turkey, and roast beef on white. It was a really good quality, tasty sub and just writing this review is making want another. So glad this shop has opened up. Solid sub joint, but kind of expensive for what you get. I got the engineer, which was very good and warm enough to get the cheese melted, but not be scalding hot. The flavors were good and I liked the feel of the place - they really go all out with the firehouse theme (dalmatian print tables, fire fighter gear all around, etc). The staff was very friendly as well, I had a hard time making my way through the menu and they were very patient with me. Unfortunately, I feel like Buffalo is full of great options for subs that firehouse just didn't stand out to me.
