Stinger Sub and Fries
Daviyion J.

For me this place had a very average chicken finger sub though I guess this place is known for them. I had that and ordered a stinger sub as well and was overall disappointed by my meal. The fries were also just okay and I saw them simply reheat my fries in fryer as I walked over to counter vs a fresh order since they say out for awhile. There's pretty sandwiches in area to try. Don't get caught up in the hype.

Royal sub

For the past few weeks I have been craving a royal sub. I finally took the plunge and decided to get a royal from John and Mary's. The ordering was quick and I waited a minimal amount of time to get my sub. The royal scratched the itch and was good. My only complaint is that there was too much mayo on it. The mayo was oozing out the sides of the sub and I wiped some off, other than that, the royal was good.

Royal - wow!

So with the loss of all the local Jimmy John's, we decided to try a local favorite. Glad we did - this place is great. My first visit there, friendly staff recommended the Royal. I was back the next day to try the wings which were also great. If you order hot food, realize they cook it to order, so there is a wait. This isn't as fast as a Subways, but the quality of the food is worth the wait as long as you know what to expect. We did take-out the first visit, eat-in the second. I don't know how well they're doing, but a fresh coat of paint wouldn't hurt! Otherwise, it's like stepping back into an 80s movie with old school counters, video game machines and fake wood tables. Can't wait to try something else!:)

I've been going here for as long as I can remember as I grew up right down the street. They changed ownership not too long ago. The food has stayed consistent and the new owner seems to friendlier then the last old guy with glasses who used to work there and was very rude to me when I was in high school. My only negative about this place is every single time I order something with tomatoes on it they give me the butt/end of the tomato! Every single damn time. I would rather have no tomatoes at all then the butt/end. Please just throw them away it's seriously so annoying. I would say the last four times I've been there I received the butt/end of the tomato. Also on multiple occasions my lettuce has been very brown & soggy. I love the food here but I'm done ordering anything with tomatoes or lettuce on it until I see some sort of improvement.

My dad has been eating at this restaurant for years. We ordered a couple of subs. We ordered the Royal, Steak Hoagie and Chicken Parmesan subs. They were all good! The white roll is ESPECIALLY GOOD! I love and appreciate that the Royal is actually made with sausage along with capicola, rather then salami and capicola like some other restaurants. I do have some complaints. They were out of kalamata olives, stuffed grape leaves, cucumbers and other items that are required to make a Greek salad. I tried to order a garden salad. They were out of items required to make a garden salad. The employees response was their salads don't get ordered often so they don't carry a lot of the ingredients. My thoughts are, so don't keep salads on the menu. I also over heard an employee tell another customer they were out of wheat rolls. It was disappointing.

When I walked into this sub shop, I felt like I stepped back in time to the Fast Times At Ridgemont High movie set in 1982. What a trip! I ordered a whole chicken finger sub, medium, with blue cheese, L, T, O. My sister got the fingers platter with fries. We ordered pizza logs too, half order. I must have been a glutton for deep fried punishment because though it was good, it was so much fried food. The sub itself was really good. I could only get through half (and I was at the point of being "hangry" so I thought I could eat all of that food). I'm pretty sure the sub roll is Costanza's, which are totally the best. The pizza logs (half order is 2) were like pizza egg rolls. Good, but again fried and just too much. The staff was friendly, funny, and thorough. It was worth the stop to time travel a bit.

Just as expected, never a disappointment! Ordered my usual (as it was 12 years ago) an assorted with sausage and banana peppers. Fresh ingredients, outstanding roll, ample assorted lunch meats & rabbit food! Great value for dinner and I have lunch for tomorrow as well!

Getting there just after 1PM on a Monday there was a line inside, to the door to place orders... the wait afterwards was about 10 minutes. I love bologna sandwiches and I also really enjoy a nice beef on Weck, so I was happy they offered a mini beef sandwich, still on kummelweck, which I got along with their bologna sandwich with provolone, onions, and peppers on it. The bologna sandwich was flame grilled and tasted excellent! I added jalapeños to it for a little kick, as well as some mayo and that made the sandwich really tasty! I started with their split pea soup - It was really good! It had big chunks of smokey, flavorful ham in it and the texture was thick and the flavor was great! I also tried a side of their mustard potato salad and it was decent, but I think it had pimentos or pickles in it, which I don't prefer. Last up - That mini beef sandwich - AWESOME! The bun really added the excellent flavor you'd expect from having the meat on that type of roll. The beef was tender and so flavorful! They also have horseradish on the tables, so I added a bunch of it and that really made the flavor pop! Service was excellent and very friendly here. I'd highly recommend stopping in!

From the moment you walk in, you get that clean, nostalgic 60s vibe--simple, welcoming, and focused on what matters: great food. The counter service is quick and friendly, and you can actually watch them slice the beef fresh right in front of you. I ordered the famous beef on weck, and it did NOT disappoint. The hand carved beef was tender, juicy, and piled high on a perfectly salted kummelweck roll. Add a little horseradish and au jus, and it's easily one of the best sandwiches in the area. The crispy waffle fries were the perfect side--golden, crunchy, and seasoned just right. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Between the quality of the food, the spotless dining area, and the old-school charm, this place absolutely earns five stars. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The manti stood out more for its comfort than complexity, tender dumplings, yogurt, and a clean garlic-forward profile that felt authentic, even if slightly muted on spice. The ribeye steak medallions were cooked accurately and had good texture, but they were less memorable compared to the rest of the menu. In contrast, the mixed grill platter was the strongest showing of the night, offering variety and consistent execution across different meats, which is not easy to do well. Everything was flavorful without feeling overworked. The mixed meat pide was satisfying and hearty, though on the richer side. It's filling and best approached as a shared dish rather than an add-on. Turkish tea was straightforward and comforting, doing exactly what it should after a heavy meal. Overall, Sofra delivers a traditional, well-executed Turkish dinner with generous portions and a focus on consistency rather than reinvention. Best enjoyed family-style, pacing the meal thoughtfully to fully appreciate the depth of the menu without fatigue.

This spot has always been a favorite of mine. It really makes the one end of Main Street in Williamsville. We started out with the pretzels and elote dip. The chips for the elote were great too and the dip was a great way to start the meal. The pretzels were soft and chewy and I really enjoyed the mustard they used. I couldn't decide on the main part of my dinner and kept going back between a pizza and a burger. Ended up going with the Nashville Hot Chicken pizza and I was very happy with the choice. The pizza had some heat but nothing too crazy. The wood fire pizza itself was cooked perfectly. Very good and I will definitely be back for more of their pizzas. I also ended up getting a piece of cheesecake to take home and it was great! Very sweet and creamy. I have never seen a rectangle piece of cheesecake before, but maybe that's the secret to why it was so good. We will definitely be back for more here. We love coming here with friends and it is a good spot for dinner or a double date.

Well, they were on the list of Yelp Buffalo's top places to eat in 2025, so of course we had to give them a try. The space itself is really beautiful. Nestled alongside a river with a cabinesque vibe. Stone exterior, with wood floors, exposed brick, and large fermentation tanks on the interior. It's really quite cozy. As for food, our table shared one of their tasty dips - the elote one to be exact. Elote is delicious on its own, but in dip form with pickled red onions, fire! I could eat an entire bucket of this stuff. When it came to my main course I ordered what I call the basic girl dinner, a caesar salad and fries... but here I went with the tater tots because I was told they are heavenly. My salad was a good portion size and exactly what you want when you order a caesar. As for the tots, the amount you get is insane and they were in fact, fried to a crispy perfection. They definitely hit the spot. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and I can see why Yelpers in Buffalo rate this spot so high. If I lived nearby I would definitely be a frequent flyer.

This location is clean, staffed with friendly employees, and has plenty of free parking. Inside, it looks like an old school sub shop. Black and white floors and dark booths, with an open kitchen where the bread is baked fresh. I did find it strange that on a Friday night at 6 pm the place was completely empty, which would normally be a sign of either high prices or bad food. DiBella's had neither. The menu is very easy to understand and easy to customize. You pick your bread, your meats, your toppings, any sides, and pay. I went for the smallest size sub on wheat with turkey, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato. Classic and simple. Hubby got the bigger Italian sub on white bread. I also got a side of macaroni salad, because I absolutely love East Coast noodle salads. Our food came out fast and our orders were both correct. The small sandwich was perfect for me, but it would definitely be too small for those with larger appetites. My wheat bread was clearly overcooked and a little dry, which was a major disappointment. The turkey was like a processed turkey loaf which also let me down. I also didn't have enough mustard on my sub. Hubby didn't have any comments on the meats on his sub, but he said they weren't the best he'd ever had. He raved about his bread and the oil and other toppings. The macaroni salad was my favorite thing, it was tangy and sweet and delicious. I did think the portion size of the side was far too small. I'll definitely come back to DiBella's, but I'll try the white bread as well as different meat next time (or maybe just veggie and no meat at all). I found the quality of the deli meat lacking, which was a big disappointment. However, there's enough to like about the subs and the prices are more than fair, so they deserve another shot. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program. I downloaded the free app and got a free small sub for very little effort.
