    Crab and shrimp omelette

Really surprised at how much I liked this place! On a beautiful Saturday my friend and I entered and were promptly seated. They had an outdoor covered patio for seating as well. I saw that they had two bars to offer the selection of drinks. I ended up going with the Bloody Mary and whoa was it loaded. For entree I got the crab and shrimp omelette and of course it was far too big to eat there so I have leftovers lol. Service was on point and I really enjoyed my time there!

I was excited to try Eggspectation because so many people have raved about how great the food is. The dining room area was pretty spacious and accommodating. I was looking forward to being wowed by the food but I wasn't and I found it to be overpriced for the same dishes I could have ordered from a diner. I ordered the Eggstravaganza with scrambled eggs, ham, and breakfast potatoes. It was just ok. Also, the Gooey Goose bread was underwhelming. I thought the bread itself would be sweet but it's just the caramel and cinnamon sugar mix on top that makes it sweet. The drinks were good though. The service was also very slow. I'm willing to give Eggspectation another try but maybe at a different location.

Sianah was amazing in taking care of us today . As first timers dining here, we are impressed and satisfied! The food came in reasonable time. It was plated properly and presented professionally, and it was delicious.

My fiance wanted gluten free pancakes ..... AGAIN so we decided to try this place out before heading out to NC. - Ginger Zillger carrots, ginger, apple, and lemon - Gluten free pancakes w/ 2 poached eggs, bacon. The worst Gluten free pancakes ever!! My fiance said it taste like cardboard ‍ - Smoked Salmon Benny 2 poached eggs on a croissant with smoked salmon and lemon cream cheese. Topped with hollandaise sauce, red onions, and capers. Served with potatoes and salad. the whole meal itself was super salty and there was a mountain full of capers. Never again!!! They only thing was good was the Ginger Zillger. Service was alright our waitress took our order and never came back to check on us if we needed anything else. I don't know maybe it was to early in the morning

Condiments on every table - pink salt, peppercorns, ketchup - and they bring out warm maple syrup!

This Canadian-based chain restaurant has a fantastic menu & atmosphere! All one level, cement floor, industrial fixtures and garage doors that open up the patio space - plenty of room for large parties - and a full bar with TV. There is a revolving door at the entrance, with a regular door next to it for accessibility. Bathrooms are gender-specific and very clean! Arielle (aka Ari) is a warm, friendly & efficient server. She's been at this location since it opened in 2023. She explained the menu, got our drinks, laughed at our jokes, and is a lovely person! Fontanini sausage is a pork sausage - that was our main question for Ari (what is this fancy sounding sausage?) Hubby said it had a little kick, but I thought it was pretty mild. Hubby had the all-American with 3 eggs over-easy. Great meal. He loved the strawberry jam! I had the Eggsuberant- scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes & fontanini sausage. Honestly the lyonnaise potatoes could have been hotter & crispier, but they still had great flavor and I loved the onions! One of the little details about a restaurant that people probably don't notice are the condiments. Brand name ketchup, pink Himalayan salt in a grinder, peppercorns in a grinder - on every table. Real butter and real Canadian maple syrup for every order. I love those details. I wish we had one of these restaurants in NY. We would definitely come back here to eat!

If I could give this place 10/5 stars, I genuinely would. My friends and I went for breakfast after a shift. The pictures on the menu online are so mouth watering, I tried not to get my hopes up for the in person impression but it was up to par. I got the fried chicken and waffles which is a classic. It came with a WARMED bottle of maple syrup. The Tiramisu White Russian which is on their winter menu tasted like tiramisu iced coffee. If you like sweet drinks like me, this is a must !! The peach pineapple cranberry mimosa truly put a smile on my face. It was the perfect fruity drink. Service was awesome. Regan actually waited us for 6 hours, which I know is insane but listen, we came for breakfast and ended up getting lunch there too as we were just catching up. He was proactive and the food didn't take long at all to come out. I really liked the ambiance there. Because we went at 8AM- 2PM, I'd say the place was overall family friendly and never got loud. When you take your friends there, get the garlic bread. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Will be back soon !!

I'll start with the positives, the interior is very cute. I love the Baltimore-themed posters sprinkled around the restaurant. We were also seated quite fast, and our server was kind. The food was okay. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich just tasted dry, I think it could have used ranch or just something else to add flavor and make it juicy. You can see in the photo, the small amount of fries that my meal came with...

My last review was no bueno for service, but I appreciated the manager responding and acknowledging my mediocre experience. Because I usually have positive experiences here, I decided to give it another go. This time was back to normal. Arielle K was my server, and she was fantastic. She even recognized that she had waited on me in the past then flashed her razzle dazzle smile. She was attentive and friendly. Even the bussers were engaging and had positive attitudes. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious as usual and the Breakfast Tacos were fantastic. Coffee is still $3 here which I appreciate. I always have leftovers after I eat here so that allows me to enjoy it all over again. Something I've come to eggspect. Nice ambiance here with lots of booth and table seating, free parking and a great location on York Road.

Overall, the food here was pretty good! We came on a Sunday afternoon, so it was very crowded, we had to wait for about 10-15 min for a table, and even after that, our food took a pretty long time to come out and was a bit cold. However, the dishes we ordered were very tasty and filling! The Shrimp and Crab Benedict was my favorite, it tasted so nice, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The Nashville Hot Benny and Heavenly Crepe were decent, I do wish both of them had more seasoning/flavor or sauces included. The Shakshuka was very good too, and paired well with everything else. I loved the decor in this restaurant, the area-themed art was very cool and added to the chill vibe. This is definitely a go-to brunch place for the area! Would love to try their sweeter items from the menu next time and come for their happy hour!

I don't even know where to begin because Olivia wasn't just a server, she was the heart of the whole morning. There's a certain kind of warmth that can't be faked, and she carried it with her like sunlight. From the moment she greeted us with that genuine smile at 10 a.m(when most people are still waking up)she made the entire experience feel special. Every small thing she did felt thoughtful, not just routine. She noticed things before we could even ask such as refilling drinks, checking in at the perfect times, making sure we were completely comfortable. It wasn't just service; it was care! She had this quiet attentiveness that made us feel seen, like she was truly there for us, not just doing her job. There's something rare about that. You can't teach someone to care that way, it's who they are. Olivia brought this peaceful, uplifting energy that turned an ordinary breakfast into something beautiful. It's the kind of service that stays with you, because it's not just about food, it's about how someone makes you feel. If you ever come to Eggspectation on York Road, PRAY you get Olivia. She's the reason I left that place not only full, but grateful.

Let me start by saying our server Anon was great! He made sure we had everything we needed and also offered his input on a few of our selections. The atmosphere and overhead music selections were decent. We got the mimosa fleet which is a cranberry, peach, signature, and strawberry mimosas. I would say they were ok, the glasses aren't big at all. For an appetizer we got the Firecracker Shrimp which were amazing! For entrees I got the Shrimp & Crab Benedict and my goddaughter got the New England Shrimp roll. The Shrimp & Crab Benedict was ok. I wasn't crazy about the crab cake being breaded or the sauce that comes on top of the eggs. My goddaughter wasn't crazy about how the shrimp looked and the red caviar eggs that were on top of her entree so she swapped that out for the shrimp tacos and a Caesar salad. The croutons in the salad seemed to be a little stale and the lettuce wasn't that fresh. We were expecting the shrimp on the tacos to be grilled like in the picture but when the tacos arrived the shrimp was not grilled at all. Our server Anon took them back to the kitchen and was told by the cook they no longer grill the shrimp which is contradictory to the menu photo. We asked to take it off the bill but Anon was determined to make it right and he did. It wasn't the experience we were expecting. However, I plan to return to hopefully get a better experience.

Eggspectation didn't reach my expectation. There were 2 reviews (14 and 9 days prior) that gave me pause last night when looking for a breakfast spot for today. They both mentioned issues with flies. Not good. I met a friend at another establishment only to find it closed for maintenance. She mentioned Eggspectation. I called from the parking lot of where we were to see if there was a wait as well as to ask about the reviews mentioning the flies. The associate said there was no wait and the flies were because the state fair had just ended and they were no longer an issue. Cool. We made our way. The facility is bright and has inviting decor. We were seated right away. Our server Mike came right over. It wasn't crowded and provided a nice environment for a good conversation. There is a patio where the side has roll up doors. (I understand the previous fly issue. It couldn't be helped.) You will see it in a photo. Both my friend and I selected the Eggstravaganza. She chose 1/2 a waffle instead of the French toast. What was missing for me (didn't meet my expectation) is lack of seasoning on the potatoes and flavor (cinnamon or something) on the French toast. My scrambled eggs were delicious. I'm glad I added cheddar cheese. The bacon was good all by itself. Before ordering, I asked how many pieces of bacon came with the order. I was told 3. When Mike came by and asked how was everything I said I only received 2 slices of bacon. He returned with a saucer with 3 slices of bacon. (We have not because we ask not.) That hit the spot right there. Thank you kindly! Attention to detail is important. Make sure the syrup bottle is clean. I used a paper towel to hold it and because of that I passed on the ketchup for my potatoes. The bill folder was sticky. Attention to detail is key. Would I return and recommend this restaurant. Yes. It was a pleasant experience.

During my recent trip back to Baltimore, my friends and I made reservations for four on a Saturday night. I'll admit, I was convinced my GPS had failed me when it led me into a business park. Just when I was ready to question my phone's navigation , BlueStone appeared like a hidden gem. The restaurant was large and looked upscale from the outside with plenty of free parking, making the first impression even better. We were seated immediately, and the hostess greeted us with a genuine smile that made us feel right at home. The ambiance is warm and inviting with a perfect blend of casual elegance. There are several dining spaces throughout the restaurant, including private rooms that would be ideal for birthdays, rehearsal dinners, or other special occasions. Our server was attentive without hovering and gave us plenty of time to enjoy our evening. We kicked things off with cocktails, including a French 75, White Cosmo, and Blackberry Bandit. Every drink was expertly crafted, but the French 75 was the undeniable star of the night, I enjoyed it so much I ordered a second. When it came to dinner, my friends all chose the crab cake entrée and they all enjoyed their food ( they are locals), proving that Bluestone knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to a well made crab cake. I ordered the Ocean & Gulf entrée. My dish included a jumbo lump crab cake, deep-sea scallops, and Gulf shrimp served over forbidden black rice with sautéed vegetables in a honey garlic beurre blanc. Every component was cooked perfectly, and the flavors blended together so well that each bite felt like a little celebration. It was one of those meals where the conversation pauses because everyone is too busy enjoying the food. As if dinner wasn't enough, we finished with Taharka Brothers Honey Graham and Vanilla Bean ice cream. It was creamy, rich, and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. BlueStone exceeded my expectations from the moment I pulled into the parking lot until the last spoonful of dessert. Great service, good prices, decent portions and expertly prepared food and cocktails. Definitely an atmosphere that's perfect for everything from date night, a family celebration, to a girls' night out. This has officially earned a spot on my list of must visit restaurants every time I come back to Baltimore.

It was busy because of the holiday but Bluestone has a lot of seating. I asked the 3 girls at the front for a table with good lighting. The hostess didn't hesitate and we were seated immediately. There was a Fathers Day special of 2 separate entrees . Our Server Jake told us the Steak was sold out . That's pretty good for them. Sounds like I should try the steak another day if they have it. I wanted a small plate and Jake gave me 3 recommendations: BANG bang shrimp, mini crab cakes, & Crab Spinach dip. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and the beet salad. This was another "live in the moment" dinner for me. I am deciding to be more deliberate about enjoying my food and not taking as many pics. Everyone on Yelp has the same pics of the same food. The beet salad was so good. Very appealing plate. The Bang Bang Shrimp were swimming in sauce but still tasty. I really wanted to try a new red wine Jake recommendations were : JEZEBEL & Alta Pavina. I chose the Alta Pavina (a high alcohol content you may only need 1). I wasn't feeling like a Jezebel on Sunday and decided to wait for a Friday night for that red wine.

The waffle fries were also hard and overcooked. The last time we ate at an Iron Rooster was in Annapolis quite a few years ago. We had stopped going because the food hadn't been as good as it was on our earlier visits. I'm happy to say this visit was much better, and we'd definitely stop here again if we're in the area.

They continue to amaze! We did the Double Dare for brunch. Basically you give the chef free choice…read moreof three items on the savory side and he says, "Hold my beer." Then stand back and let him cook... *wink* We got a Texas toast sandwich: garlic compound butter toast, eggs scrambled with mozzarella and provolone, and fried crispy Prosciutto. Then was the pancake quesadilla. It was just a little sweet which was nice with the cheddar cheese and bacon and sausage filling. Last were some tacos: corn tortillas with a ground beef, griddled potatoes, mushrooms, peppers and cheese topped with some gravy. We ended up taking quite a bit home and I'm looking forward to a second round tomorrow morning. Delicious

Everyone who loves breakfast needs to get here IMMEDIATELY! We ordered the "do you dare" and received 3 items that were flawless. Perfect flavor profiles, perfect cooks, and we could not come up with one thing a dish needed. We ate the following (newest photos at end) French toast smash burger (no bacon): 15/10 French toast soft interior, crispy out. Smash burgers seasoned well and juicy. Hash brown just right. Nothing needed. Cheesesteak potato pancake tacos: 15/10-steak and potatoes seasoned perfectly. Pancake had crispy edges but still fluffy, sauce added a little kick. Nothing needed. Strawberry Mascarpone wafer French toast: 15/10-The PERFECT "I want something sweet" choice without indulging in cereal or ice cream. The strawberry and light cream were heavenly. French toast had cinnamon, crispy edges and was remarkable. We will be coming monthly to try any new items and concoctions Glen will whip up. GET HERE! *May 2025 1st Review* A family based smaller staff. What is lacked in 'quantity' they 100% make up in quality. Immaculate customer service from everyone. A hole in the wall for sure, can not be seen from the street. Limited seating inside and outside. Food was perfect. We ordered the following: Pancake breakfast: 10/10 fluffy, crispy pancakes. Home fries were crisp and seasoned. Perfect for 2 kids to share The Wild West: 10/10 very fresh ingredients, good flavor and portion. Recommend. The Washington Ave: 10/10- I added Feta instead of cheddar and that sent things over. Huge sandwich. Flavor packed. Might want a little more sauce. Cappuccino: 8/10 a little too much milk (hot skim milk) Strawberry mint lemonade: 10/10 I recommend breakfast lovers get here!
