My wife and I had a great breakfast. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very clean, and the food is of the highest quality. Their link sausages are the best I ever had in Sarasota County. We had breakfast here yesterday because the wait at the Breakfast Cottage was going to be 10-15 minutes and we had to be in Tampa at a certain time and every minute counted. We had not been to Eggs-TRAordinary before and we were seated right away - it's a much bigger place than Breakfast Cottage. The food was fantastic. I had the Greek omelet with grits and a biscuit. My son and hubby had the lox Benedict, which they gobbled up, and house potatoes. The coffee was good and our cups were never empty. This place is a find. The price is no higher than any other breakfast joint nearby so judging it based on a fee paid to a food delivery service is a bit odd to me - and that review should be removed. read more

Two years later from my first visit the food is still delicious. Pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, fresh fruit etc was all cooked to perfection. The fresh fruit even included blue berrys! Service is excellent and is place is very clean! read more

Every item on my plate was loaded with grease. Home potatoes especially. First time I had hash that was loaded with bacon. Very little corned beef, if any. OMG! This probably was.... No! This was the worst breakfast I have ever eaten. I work a crazy schedule, so I had been trying to make time to come here for breakfast for the past 2 weeks. I saw that they had on the menu a harbor Benedict and a harbor omelette, which has lobster and shrimp in it. So I read the reviews and decided we so have to try this place, since my daughter loves breakfast and I can never get enough seafood. We went today. I never write reviews, this is my first. I thought people needed to know how bad the food here was. Our waitress was nice, but jees she didn't give us a chance to look over the menu, before asking us what we would like. So I said can you give us a few, sure she said. Not realizing that she assumed a few meant seconds. Before we could look back down at our menu's, there she was again. Ok, so what can I get you girls? Ummm. Yea! Sorry we're still going to need a few. Well dang! Again she took that as we need only seconds. So after four times of her coming back in just seconds. She Finally said ok well when you girls close your menus and put them at the end of the table, then I'll know your ready. Wow! That's a great idea I said. Anyway I already new what I was getting, it was the harbor benny. I had been thinking about it for the past two weeks. Well let me explain how bad this was. First let's talk about the Hollandaise sauce or lack there of. Instead of that nice thick creamy sauce that covers and oozes down the side of the egg and English muffin. It seemed to just have maybe butter poured over it. Because there was no sauce, there was a greasy liquid on and under the English muffin. Well ok, so I'm bummed, but when I bust the egg open the yolk will help with the lack of creamy hollandaise sauce I have on my plate. Besides there's shrimp and lobster here. I start to dig in, cuz I have been waiting for this for 2 weeks. I have my favorite breakfast here. Eggs Benedict! And it has seafood, a food that I can't live without. Right inside my favorite breakfast. Here goes, I bust into that poached egg. Wait! What! Nothing! no ooze of yolk. I literally have a miss shaped hard boiled egg on my eggs Benedict. NOOOO!! I am one who never sends food back, I have a fear of what may happen to it. But I just couldn't eat this! So I ask, would it be possible to get some eggs that are not so cooked, maybe some runny eggs for my Benedict please. Sure, she says, for both of you? Cause my daughter's Benny didn't look that great either. But she decided to tough it out and eat hers as is. She had the regular benny, mine was 17.00 so I needed to change out my hard boiled eggs. So I just eat my house potatoes while I waited for my eggs. They weren't great, but they were ok. Finally my eggs are here and look nice and runny. Thank you! So I plop then on top, and dig in again. There's my oozy egg yay! I take a big yummy bite, and holy shit what is this rubbery texture in my mouth. I'm not sure how long they had cooked this shrimp and lobster, but they somehow made it a texture that I had never experienced before. It was like eating a greasy peace of shoe leather with warm runny egg yolk on it. I'm not the greatest cook, but being born and raised up north in New England I have cooked me a lot of lobster and shrimp in my years, also over cooked my share too. I have never in my life been able to, or ever had lobster and shrimp taste that horrible before. But never in my life have I ever wasted any kind of seafood, ever! even my sometimes over cooked ones. My god! What a sin this was. Anyway I'm paying 17.00 for this and I didn't want to waste, so I try to eat this stuff there calling food. Three bites in and I just can't. The waitress come back and says your done I said yes with a dissatisfied face. Really she says. Yep! You would think I would get something, like a I'm sorry you were not happy with your food, or let us take half the price off of the leather we tried to serve you as food. Nope! I got nothing. So I paid and left and will never return to that place again. I'm sorry this is so long. I was just so disappointed and unhappy with this place. Never have I ever felt so angry for deciding to go to a restaurant before, that I just had to share my very bad experience with you in hopes I can save just one person from spending there hard earned money at this shit hole! FYI! If your going to name your restaurant EGGS-TRAordinary! Please learn how to at least poach an egg. And as for the lobster and shrimp, do the seafood world a favor and just leave it off the menu. #notareturncostomer read more

We recently ate breakfast here and everyone loved it! I had the Veggie Benny and it was so delicious. The coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice was perfect. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and enjoyed it so much. The hash browns that came with it were perfectly cooked. Our two friends were thrilled with there choices as well, one had a sausage egg wrap and the other had a veggie omelette. Went here for a Ladies Luncheon the other day. This place runs like a well-run machine!! The 3 servers for about 22 of us were spot on; their service was amazing. We all had various items from breakfast to lunch , and everyone raved about it. The portions are huge. I had eggs benedict, which was wonderful. They had a special Ahi tuna on a salad that others loved. Wraps, crepes, etc Going to take hubby, Dave there soon, as he will enjoy the large servings.
