Steak and jalapeño omelette
Claudia A.

This is not the first time I've had an issue when getting something to go, but it keeps getting worse. I decided to try the steak and jalapeño omelette and it was so disappointing absolutely no flavor at all.. the steak was some shaved meat stuffed in the omelette they can at least season it a bit. My second issue I have with them why do they keep adding the toast in with the food it gets so soggy!! And lastly the gave me the most disgusting looking avocado who ever saw that avocado and decided to add it to the plate needs to be spoken to, let's use better judgement. I will say I never had an issue dinning in this is about the carelessness of to go food. Also the enchilada omelette I would skip it looks like an egg omelette with throw up on it and it doesn't take any better than it looks.

My wife and I stopped by for breakfast while our car was in for service at Toyota. We weren't very hungry, so we ordered from the Early Bird menu -- pancakes for me and French toast for my wife -- plus a bowl of clam chowder. The food was okay overall, but the complimentary crepe is always the best part. The server was friendly and fast, even though it was a busy Black Friday morning with the restaurant more than 80% full. One unique thing here: they offer a 3.5% discount if you pay with cash, which is a nice bonus. Overall, a solid breakfast spot for a casual morning meal.

Eggs and things is a solid choice for breakfast. After you order, they bring you 1 Swedish pancake to enjoy while you're waiting on your food. I typically order French toast or pancakes here with a side of ham. Good place to come with kids. Busy weekend mornings

What went well...um everything!! Eggs N Things got them thangs! Wonderful restaurant, I usually visit the one in Valencia, but today I was in Ventura and Eggs N Things travels well. Chicken fried steak for the win today, yummy biscuit and gravy. My Mom ordered something they have on the menu at the Valencia location, but not this location. Check my picture for the deets! They were busy today, but everything was perfect. This place is a well oiled machine and our waitress Shayla was totally spectacular!! Great, great customer service. My Mom requested a Valencia location menu item, Shayla didn't bat an eyelash putting it all together a al crate for her and for cheaper then the Valencia location and a bigger serving.....shhhh, don't tell the Valencia location. Thank you Eggs N Things for a wonderful Sunday breakfast this morning and thank you Shayla for supreme customer service.

Macadamia Nut crusted French toast

I am not a French toast person. I am not the person who goes anywhere and orders a French toast. Neither do I make them at home because I'm just not a fan. HOWEVER, egg n things might have just changed the game for me. I ordered the macadamia nut crusted French toast with coconut flakes and syrup and it was incredible! Tasty all around! And they don't just put a little sprinkle of macadamia nuts. It's everywhere and I love it! I was actually even able to share it with someone because there was so much of it but next time I might just have to eat it all myself. I ordered it with the side of bacon and eggs and everything was up to par. I'm so excited to explore the menu here.

This is such a great breakfast place! It is always clean, the staff is always nice and everything I've ever eaten here has been delicious!

Always a great meal! The sandwich is phenomenal. Service is always great. And don't forget Swedish pancakes!

I was on my way to solvang for vacation and made a stop for breakfast. I came here around 10:30am on a Sunday and only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. Our waitress came by and took our order and the food came out quickly and hot! They have a ton of booths and tables inside but it does get busy. Our food was great! The breakfast burrito had sausage, egg, cheese and potato with sour cream and salsa on the side. It was so hot and tasted fresh. The Swedish pancakes are always amazing and delicious! I'm sad there isn't a location closer but if I'm headed this way I'll be back!

I believe I had this place to go before and I wasn't a fan then either. We were supposed to go to the Cam location but this one had no wait time so we came here - once again ... not a fan . The only thing I finished was the hash browns. The crepes were flavorless, even with the fruit. My husband enjoyed his French toast but my brother didn't care for his either. The service was great though! The establishment was clean. The pepper sauce was AMAZING!! I want to try the Camarillo location & see & maybe try this location for lunch but other than that - I'll pass.

Free crape to start your appetite off!!

I was blown away by how cute this place was with bright colors and Nola inspired decor. The service was incredibly friendly and the food was fresh & well made. Very limited vegan options, actually there was really only two- Buddha Bowl and the Buddha bowl done like a burrito. The bowl was delicious and I didn't feel like I was stuck eating a boring ice berg lettuce with oil and vinegar, if you know what I mean. My bf ordered the Nouveau Garden omelette and demolished it in no time. The portion was pretty standard and not generous like other cafes like Bill's etc but it was still good. Coffee is bottomless. It looks like the price of coffee has really gone up as it was $4+ per cup of black brewed coffee. We were seated in a private little area for two and it couldn't have been more perfect. Side note- the employees here are seriously awesome! I watched one of them patiently guide an elderly woman with a cane into the cafe. He was so polite and kind, the elderly lady seemed smitten with charm. What a wonderful find!

The hashbrowns were definitely my favorite because they were super crispy. I also got a hot chocolate and it did not disappoint. Really enjoyed everything about this place and would definitely come back!

I ended up ordering the chicken parmigiana panini because it sounded like a unique option and because it was one of their specialty items on the menu. Overall, it was enjoyable, however, it wasn't mind blowing by any means. The flavors were good but I felt like it was room temperature when I got it and I wish the chicken itself was crispier. The chicken is thick and juicy though, so I loved that about it. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and I thought this dish was amazinggg. I loved how the syrup came out hot, the chicken was juicy, and the chili butter was just WOW. I'd say this is a must order if you're a fan of chicken and waffles. The restaurant itself had a nice ambience. They offer both indoor and patio seating. Service was very friendly and attentive. They gave everyone on our table complimentary cookies at the end, which was super nice of them.

Our waitress wasn't rude, but she wasn't particularly friendly or attentive throughout the meal. Unfortunately, one of the salads we ordered had a hair in it, which my sister noticed immediately. She informed the food runner, and the kitchen prepared a replacement. However, our waitress never checked in on us or acknowledged the issue, and she didn't even seem to know what had happened until we brought it to her attention. Her response was not particularly apologetic, and no one offered to take anything off the bill. Having dined out frequently, I've encountered similar situations before, and the response has typically been a sincere apology and some form of compensation, whether that's removing the affected item or offering a discount. Instead, we were essentially told, "Well, she got another one, right?" My sister also had to wait until the rest of us had finished eating before she could enjoy her replacement salad. We eventually went to the front to speak with a manager or someone else about the situation. Unfortunately, that interaction was also disappointing. The woman we spoke with was dismissive and stated, "We don't do that here," emphasizing that it was a matter of principle. We had to push back to get the salad removed from the bill, and even then, the conversation involved unnecessary harsh commentary. Overall, the customer service was disappointing. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of acknowledgment, genuine apology, and willingness to resolve the situation professionally made the experience frustrating. We left feeling that our concerns were not taken seriously, and I would have expected a much more considerate response.

I always get either the seafood burrito or the spicy garlic shrimp burrito, but I always ask them to let me add an extra protein and they happily oblige for a very small surcharge (my go-to is usually some combination of the spicy garlic shrimp, ahi-seared rare, grilled shrimp, and/or grilled salmon). The burrito is huge! And for the quality of ingredients, the blast of flavor, and beach-side vibes, all for $14-20 depending on how you customize your meal, it is definitely a good bang for your buck. Highly recommend. Oh and they always hook it up with the salsa, and their salsas and sauces are bomb! I have seen them extremely busy during peak hours and on weekends because there are many beach goers and tourists in the area, and because the Ventura Pier and San Buenaventura Beach are such popular places. My family and I love to walk the pier while waiting for our food, or grab our order and head down to the sand to eat while the kids play on the playground. I definitely recommend making a day out of it.

Walked right over to Dukes which is literally foot steps from the beach. To my surprise, not only was it pretty busy with the World Cup on every TV, but impressively, it didn't stop the service or kitchen from being super fast. Very impressive. I ordered to go this time so I could get back to parenting and enjoying the weather. Had to be quick so I could enjoy my time before it cools down and my sunburn fully sets in. I ordered the Gizmo which is basically a grilled chicken club on sourdough. It was great. Really don't have anything to add to that other than I would highly recommend it. Anyone who doesn't love a chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich might have some taste bud issues... It came with in-house made potato chips and those were also wonderful. I smashed that thing and literally went right to sleep in my chair. What a perfect beach day thanks to Dukes. To add to my food experiences and recommendations here, the time before this, I ordered the fish and chips. In my case it was the fried fish and sweet potato fries. It was so flavorful and crispy. I highly recommend eating it there or hopefully near by so it doesn't lose that fresh crunch. However, you have to get any and all fries with their Ranch. I had to get extra as I couldn't seem to get enough. Obviously every fry needed to have a disgusting amount of ranch on it. Everything I had from here so far has been incredibly tasty and I would recommend it anytime you're in the area.
