Best food for breakfast in Waikiki . First and last place we always eat when we land in Honolulu

Went there two days in a row (at the request of my wife) first time- yikes! Got this old-mean like really really mean waiter- who question me saying I ordered wrong. But my wife told me I was right and he was wrong- that's my wife, the woman that always tells me I'm wrong. We even had this nice random stranger next to us agree with us (what a ear-hustler), and and this random stranger even offered me HER food cause she felt bad for me- who does that?? Thank you kind stranger I will never see again, you just secured yourself in heaven. Anywho- second day everything I got was cold. read more

The fish is raw, but not mentioned in menu, so, if you dont like raw be aware The rest is kind of accepted And as usual in Honolulu, the price is medium read more

We were staying at the Alohilani hotel which is right next door and wanted some breakfast. They do not accept orders over the phone yet we were having trouble linking to the website to place the order. They recommended we use doordash and pick up the meal. The food was good, as expected, but we ran into some issues ordering through door dash (issues we alerted doordash) Advice if ordering through door dash - order each item as an individual item!!!! DoorDash offers you to 'add on' to items but those items are often not seen by the restaurant/kitchen and forgotten. For example, we ordered Eggs Florentine and it asked if we wanted to add on a short stack and maple syrup. We paid for the short stack and maple syrup through door dash but the restaurant did not receive this part of the order and when we went to pick up the order, the short stack was not included in our food. We alerted doordash and hopefully they make this right for future customers. If you want a short stack and eggs florentine, add them to your cart individually and as separate items to make sure it is included in your to go bag! read more

I would recommend this! Put in a reservation online. The wait can be quite long. Great food! Fun ambience!

This was my last food stop while visiting Hawai'i recently. Loco moco - I loved that this was more than just a hamburger patty with rice, eggs, and gravy. This has fried rice with grilled onions and mushrooms (note: I do not eat mushrooms, so my sister got to enjoy them all and loved them). Pancake sampler - pancakes were fluffy and good, but standard in my opinion. The table side coconut syrup was the real stand out and I wish they sold it in their storefront because I'd take it home with me in an instant. The only thing I really felt was missing was a loaded ube pancake. I guess that means I just have to come back to Hawai'i again soon, right?! Mixed fruit - we also shared a mixed fruit bowl to make us feel healthy and because it was refreshing and yummy. Very standard and we both enjoyed it. read more

We both ordered ahi. My friend ordered with eggs and pancakes and I ordered it as an ahi burger. Both ahi dishes were overcooked and dry. Our friends raved about this place. It's not for us. read more

Everything here was so delicious and we had a great time. The staff was lovely and friendly!!

Will not be returning, staff is not friendly, dinning area smells, changed wait times 3 times. Waited an hour and a half. Not worth it.

Seriously so good! Service was great and food was even better. We tried the waffles and moco loco eggs. If you get waffles don't forget to try the coconut syrup! So good. Jin was our server. He was a great server. read more

If you're in the state of hawaii specifically on the island of Oahu you need to find an eggs and things. More of a local spot but very inviting to tourist as well. Our preferred one was the one on Saratoga. Our server Stella was hands down the friendliest and most attentive server our entire trip. True hospitality. It was a quaint little locations maybe about 20 tables but it's worth the wait if you get put on the waitlist. The location off Saratoga in in a cute two story location that over looks the local neighborhood. All our food was amazing, over the course of multiple trips i did have spam and eggs twice wife was a fan of the create your own omelette. And both days we tried the fruit topped pancakes first one was the tropical which had macadamia nuts, coconut shreds, and pineapple. The other pancakes we had topped with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. They did have tropical syrups which were guava and coconut. Best combo was the coconut syrup with the pineapple pancakes. tasted exactly like a pina-colada . Over all stay away from the tourist spots you'll get the best bang for your buck especially on vacation from locals and better all around service. Take the walk away from the resorts you won't be disappointed. And remember ask for Stella!!!! read more

Around this time yesterday (10am) me and my family walked in and were on the waitlist for 3 people. My sister had called to ask to join us, so we asked the hostess to move us to a bigger table for the four of us, she said that was fine and promptly moved us. Not even 3 minutes later our server came over very blunt, and disrespectful telling us it was against policy to add one person because they were not in our original party, and its company policy. It would make sense if it was like 4-5 people, but he used an excuse of the hostess not speaking English. Whether or not, we still had an extra seat , that would never have been used. It was outrageous and they made us send her home or put her on a 45 minute waitlist over one chair. And a customer they could received more money from. Will never be coming back. read more

I really enjoy Eggs n Things, especially in Hawaii! If the Kalākaua Avenue location is filled, this location is just as good, perhaps even better! The hostess is very kind, the wait time is minimal compared to other locations. The servers are very kind and friendly and make great recommendations! The location provides a local vibe, very family friendly, and everyone in the restaurant looked like they were having a great time for breakfast! read more

Great place for a classic breakfast. A bit of a wait because of popularity but just try to check in ahead of time and you'll definitely get in quicker. read more

With this being 2025, there is zero reason a restaurant like this does not offer vegan breakfast other than an Açaí bowl, a Beyond patty (this is not breakfast food), potatoes and fruit. Just Egg, vegan sausage and pancakes / waffles could very easily be a part of the menu. The food was good. This location is nice as it has an indoor that feels outdoor with the doors open. Only an upstairs dining room is not ADA friendly. read more

Phenomenal breakfast. We came around 7 am and had a 10 minute wait but were able to join the Yelp waitlist and it was pretty quick! We were seated on the upstairs patio in a little corner. We orders 2 things: the Eggs Benedict with Taro roll and crab cake and the Rainbow pancakes. This was moreee than enough food to feed me and my boyfriend. Not to mention it was hands down the best breakfast we have had in Hawaii. 100% recommended checking this place out and would come again! read more

We visited Honolulu and were told about this place. Great food, friendly and engaging wait staff, and the food was hot and excellent in both taste and presentation. read more

Excellent breakfast options, generous portions! Wait list is a great way to reduce the wait time for a table.

We walked in on a Sunday morning and picked this place because they seemed busy and had people outside waiting for a table so we knew it would be good. We put our name down for a table for 5 and the wait was fairly short maybe 15 minutes before we were sat. The restaurant itself has two levels, the bottom level has a merchandise area that is so cute along with the check in counter then the restaurant on the top level. It has a classic diner atmosphere and the service is very fast & so friendly. Galbi & Eggs w/ Kimchee, side of pancakes: Very tender and flavorful especially with the kimchee, you get a choice of side (rice, potatoes, or pancakes) and we picked pancakes Island Fried Rice: Your classic fried rice with portuguese sausage, ham, & bacon with eggs on top, a good balance of flavor with a island twist Kimchee Fried Rice: Tangy, perfectly salty kimchee fried rice with eggs on top. Hawaiian Loco Moco: I had to get a loco moco at every restaurant when in hawaii and this one stands out because it has the patty plus sauteed mushroom & onions with diced portuguese sausage! read more

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat breakfast before we went to Pearl Harbor. He found Eggs n Things and we loved the food. The portions were prefect and we were satisfyingly full! hehe. Our waitress was very kind and sweet. We loved the different syrups or sauce for the pancakes. We chose to use one with coconut. OMG SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! The place was packed and we now know why. They had a store downstairs. I wish I could've got something. Maybe next time. We will definitely come back to try more of their pancakes when we visit Oahu again. read more

Our server, Stella was attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. Everything was fresh.

Ate here many years ago. Was excited to go back. Was aweful. The oil was rancid. Couldn't eat the potatoes. Waffles cold had to ask for butter. Just assumed it would come with it. All the condiments were sticky. read more

Staff took 20 minutes to even acknowledge us. My husband's pancakes were brought out 15 minutes before my bennies. The pancakes were topped with a ridiculous mountain of what tasted like cool whip, blech. The bennies were hard cooked and had about 1 tablespoon each of hollandaise, not enough. They said it was on an english muffin but it came out on a roll. Overall A very disappointing experience and sad use of $40.00. read more

The food was authentic, fresh and delicious. It's worth the stop. We had the fried rice breakfast, pork chop breakfast, short ribs breakfast all with eggs and spam and green onion omelette. All really amazing read more

Food was good, wait is quite long but there were a number of empty tables upstairs which was confusing. We joined the waitlist well in advance but the expected wait time was exceeded by 30min. Nice quality food but not worth the wait read more

I would avoid this restaurant. The food tasted like it was cooked in rancid oil. We each took one bite and couldn't finish our meals because the taste was so unpleasant. The situation was made worse by the manager refusing to remove the uneaten dishes from our bill. Instead, he offered only $7 off nearly $60 worth of food that we barely touched due to the rancid taste. We didn't want to make a scene at the restaurant, so we paid and left. However, I hope the management takes this feedback seriously--please change your oil more regularly and don't expect customers to pay full price for food that clearly isn't edible. read more

Auntie Stella is the best great customer service will be coming back soon! And Josh cooks the best burger!

I highly recommend joining the waitlist on Yelp ahead of arriving at the restaurant as the wait can get pretty long. The check in process is easy and there are benches outside to enjoy the sunshine while you wait. The seating area is upstairs. It's small and quaint but gets the job done! Great tasting food at generally good prices. Both times we went I got the Breakfast Meat'n Eggs with chicken apple sausage (one time with potatoes and one time with white rice). I was disappointed that both times they were sold out of the chicken mango sausage. Nevertheless, it still tasted good. The show stopper was the macadamia nut pancakes. Incredible!! Fluffy, thick, moist, flavorful, perfection! The *cherry* on top was the coconut syrup and maple syrup (we combined both for a traditional/island flavor). Guava flavored syrup was another option. These pancakes were the best! Service was quick - You pay at the register. Recommend coming here to take a nice morning walk away from the resorts. read more

Very friendly staff. Food was amazing. Not too long of a wait to be seated. Highly recommend.

This place is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. We came around 8 am and were seated 15 min later. Have to have the whole party with you or they will not seat you. The reception is downstairs while the dining area with indoor and outdoor area is upstairs. There's a waitlist when you arrive. We ordered loco moco, pancakes with Mac nut, whipped cream and fresh pineapples, crepes, eggs Benedict with Portuguese sausage, and corned beef hash omelette. The loco moco was delicious we upgraded to the fried rice and it was great. The pancakes were so good! My favorite. The crepes were good as well while the omelette was okay. The eggs Benedict was great! They have guava, coconut, and maple syrup on the table. Service was fast and friendly. We really enjoyed having our breakfast here before walking around in Waikiki. read more
