    Royal Sandwich

EGG TUCK 01-31-26 Wanted to give this place a try. Walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff member. The Dining area is small with limited seating. The place was Clean and the employees were friendly. There is a walk-up counter for ordering, or you can use the computers on the wall. We had; Egg Tots - A good amount of Tots with two over easy Eggs, Sliced Avocado, Spicy Sriracha Aioli, and Egg Sauce (House Mayo) The Tots were crispy and hot. The two over easy eggs were perfect. The Fresh avocado on top and the sauces were really tasty on the dish. Royal Sandwich - Signature Beef Patty, Over Medium Eggs, Cheddar Cheese, Grilled Onions, Pickles, Fresh Chives, Sriracha Aioli, and Egg Sauce (House Mayo), on Brioche Bread. The sandwich looks impressive until you get halfway down. The filling only covers 1/2 the bread. The 2nd half is just bread. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauces were good. I'm glad we gave it a try. It's a unique style of restaurant Thanks for the great service.

The most amazing sandwich we've ever had. The cinnamon chia latte was absolutely delicious.

This place smells weird. I was going to dine in but changed my mind and ordered to-go because there's a strong scent inside that's unpleasant, maybe a strong scented cleaner..? The inside is small. No outdoor seating. Convenient location with parking. No drive thru. Staff is friendly. You can order at the counter with staff or use the touchscreens on the wall. The big menus on the wall don't detail what's in each item but if you use the touchscreens to order you can see more detail. The to-go containers are nice. They put a plastic film over the sandwiches to keep the egg from falling out. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Choice of over easy egg or scrambled. Scrambled eggs weren't overdone. The Korean patty was similar to a hamburger patty with Korean flavors. The bread is like a thick brioche Texas toast (too heavy for my tastes). Avocado was ripe and fresh. I liked that I could order the sauce on the size because I don't like my food saucy. The "egg sauce" is tasty - similar to ranch but more garlicky. Sandwiches are big and messy - you'll need a few napkins. The matcha latte was good, not over sweetened. I'd go again to try the burrito and other beverages but won't be sprinting back. That weird smell ruined my appetite.

    Ham & cheese signature sandwich

A bunch of my friends have tried Egg Tuck, and they have all said they did not like it. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I found the sandwich to be quite tasty. It's an interesting twist on the classic Korean egg sandwich. I got the ham & cheese signature sandwich, which was $11.36. The eggs were so fluffy, and the bread was fragrant and soft. I had a friend previously complain about it being overwhelmingly salty, but mine was not like that, and I am someone who is sensitive to overly salty seasoning. I had the sandwich for lunch, and it wasn't enough food for me, but it would definitely be a hefty breakfast meal, which I know is what it is intended for.

Messiest thing I've ever had & I eat crawfish all the time. First impressions: Looked good. Hot & fresh. Got the Spicy Royal & Tater Tots. Despite my handling it neatly, with my beginning bite, hot egg yolk spilled all into my hand and over my tray & my face when I took that bite. So much for getting the best flavor out of my meal as it left. Embarrassing, glad I wasn't eating with a work colleague or on a date. You can't put it down because of this nuclear disaster, therefore it leads to the eater swiftly inhaling the entree, negating much flavor & taste experience. 3 measly ketchup packets for a huge box of tots for dine-in? C'mon ET, where are the dine-in ketchup cups like In N Out so readily has? I can get about the same amount of tater tots from Sonic for $3.40. $5 is more of a ballpark stadium's price for that. Best thing of the meal: quality tots & friendly service. Good choice with preferred spicy Cholula condiment. Best bang for the buck? Try more bucks for the bang. All this for $20. Sure the novelty is tasty but you're going to pay for it. I probably won't come back.

    SPICY ROYAL BURRITO

So I had a friend mention this place to me and he brought me a burrito from there. It had what seemed like bulgogi inside with the mixture of eggs, avocado, and hash brown. He mentioned it was spicy but I didn't catch much of that. Overall, this thing was awesome!! It was a dense heavy burrito. I can say I'll definitely be going back to try out more in the near future. He says he's a regular there, and they already know him by name. So I assume these guys have to be pretty nice and know what they are doing. Thank yall much for the great food!

This place is walking distance from my hotel and I wanted something fast. The staff is super nice. I actually met the owner and she invited me to try one of their upcoming New Orleans biscoff lattes. It was good so I got one. I also got the Royal West sandwich. Prices are very reasonable for the decent sized portions. The restaurant itself is very clean with a very orange decor, very light and inviting. The latte was very tasty, sweet but not overpowering. The sandwich was really good. It's like Korean bbq meat in a patty stuffed with well made egg in thick slices of custom brioche bread. If I travel here again for my customer, I'll definitely be back.

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! I first heard of Egg Tuck a year or 2 ago on YouTube. All locations at the time were only in California and they were on a short list of places I wanted to visit if I ever visited LA. A month ago I became sick and was admitted into the hospital for a week. As we drove out of the hospital on my day of release I was pleasantly shocked and surprised to see Egg Tuck coming soon. Today I got to taste eggs from heaven and had the first of many delicious and delightful experiences I am sure. Wonderful customer service and care from their wonderful team.

I drove past this place the other day and was intrigued, so this week I made a point to try them out. All I can say is wow. The idea seems so simple: put egg and an add-on between Texas toast. The idea might be simple but the execution is *Chef's kiss*. I may need to go back to Temple soon just to go here! When you enter Egg Tuck, you may be struck by the simple, minimalist white design. It is very clean and simple, just like their idea. You can order on a touch screen or at the counter. Never having been here, I went to the counter, where the friendly and helpful staff quickly took my order. I ordered the Royal Sandwich with no modifications and some tater tots. I also ordered a churro iced latte with oatmilk which was-well, amazing. Tasted just like a churro and could be my new addiction if I was close to this place. Word of warning: don't set down your sandwich once you start eating. It quickly loses all structural integrity. Which is probably why it is served in a mini carton with a piece of plastic over the top, and tucked into a larger carton. The flavors explode in your mouth and try to melt out of your hand.

This place is so good. American breakfast with Asian fusion, yum! My wife and i live in Woodway but it is worth the drive. The customer service was top notch as well. So kind and friendly. Felt like a high end restaurant. This place is a must try. Come on Heart Of Texas let's support this amazing business.

This place was so cute!! Was friendly greeted when we walked in and the girl was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide what to get! Good portions and super good seasoning, even on the tots! The music was good too haha. Owner came by and asked us how the food was-- he was super nice and had good conversation with us, AND he was in the kitchen! Definitely come here to try something different and delicious!!

Well first, the place is inviting for people of a certain age as well as for young people with many decorations evocative of the hippie era. It's clean and very pleasant. The menu is ambitious, I think they try too hard to be cute. And though the service was excellent, it all came down to the food for me. I ordered the Birdie Trio. It sounded interesting. But too many of these restaurants trying to do chicken and waffles take the shortcut and use processed boneless chicken parts reformed to look like an actual natural piece. I was supposed to get a thigh on each waffle. The chicken vaguely resembled thighs. But the meat was white and very salty. Not good. Should I ever drop in again, I'll stick with a more traditional combination and maybe my extra will be better. And oh, that credit card machine is set at a default of about 22% tip and that's on top of tax. Watch out!

We started the 2025 list and we are more than half-way through the list as of June 2026. Heading to the spots in West Texas takes some logistical planning, patience, and lots of gas for the drive from the Texas Gulf Coast. On our recent BBQ quest to West Texas,we drove home via Fort Worth from Amarillo with our eyes set on hitting one of the most consistent BBQ joints in Central Texas, Miller's Smokehouse in Belton, TX. This was our fourth time to visit Miller's. Unfortunately, Miller's Smokehouse had a surprise overnight fire late February 2026. That hasn't stopped them from feeding the community great food from a mobile trailer. They had an abbreviated menu of the BBQ staples like brisket, chicken, pulled pork, pork steaks, and St. Louis Style Ribs, and assorted sandwiches and sides. Generally, I'm a Texas Trinity traditionalist. But we he had our fill of brisket, ribs, and sausage on our West Texas journey. Instead, we jumped at the Smash Burgers! First time for us and they made a favorable impression. My wife had the Single Smash. My son and I had the Double Smash. Of course we had to try the tallow Fries. Wow! Homemade buns, oversized patties, cheese, with a smattering of pickles and burger sauce. We destroyed those burgers. Compliments to the kitchen staff cooking up some great food. The tallow Fries, seasoned with just the right amount of salt were a perfect crisp while being soft in the center. Don't cheat yourself - try the Fries. We arrived around noon and there was a very short line at that time. Parking is easy with ample parallel parking and free lots close by. The staff took good care of us. It was a bit warm but they had shaded picnic table seating with plenty of fly fans at the table to keep the critters from buzzing to nibble at your food. Before we left, we inquired about nearby restrooms to wash-up before we got back on the road. We were directed across the street to Muscovy Coffee Roasters across the street. It turns out that Muscovy is Miller's upscale sister coffee house that opened days before the February fire. I could not help but notice the spacious seating area that was packed. Nor the rich roasted coffee wafting through the air. They also serve an interesting menu of breakfast items and homemade Kolaches. Got to go back for coffee and Kolaches next time. By the way, the restrooms were Buc-ee's clean+. This is the fourth time we visited Miller's Smokehouse. Hat's off to the pitmasters and staff at Miller's Smokehouse for their perseverance. We'll be back after they open the revitalized restaurant. Hoping to meet Dusty the next time.

Knob Creek rocks, Elijah Craig rocks, a Ranch Water (a bit too sweet), and a classic Italian Aperol Spritz. Dinner on the patio starting with a smoked bacon appetizer followed by a wedge salad. Sugared bacon was delicious. Wedge didn't have the salad core removed which was a bit disappointing. Shared a coal-fired Margarita pizza with chicken added. Pizza was cooked perfectly and was delicious with a healthy amount of ingredients, including the excellent blend of cheeses. Our waiter Peter was very professional, friendly and informative. It looked pretty, but nothing came together, and the biscuit was very dry. We also tried the Cuban sandwich--way too fatty and overly thick, hard to enjoy. The loaded croissant, however, was very good, and the fries were solid. The artichoke dip had little to no flavor, and the bread wasn't grilled like the menu said. The atmosphere was beautiful--you feel like you're in a villa. The country drive out there is nice, and the grounds are gorgeous. Drinks were on point and the wine was good, though pricey for a small pour. Our waiter was friendly but not very attentive. Overall, probably won't be back. We've had much better experiences at wineries in Fredericksburg. I don't mind paying for an expensive meal if it's worth it--this just wasn't. Very disappointed.
