First off, I love Panera Bread, but this location was disappointing. I went through the drive-thru, and while ordering, I couldn't hear the employee at all. I had to ask "what?" five times, but she never spoke any louder. At first, I thought it might be the speaker, but when we pulled up, she still wouldn't talk louder than a whisper. This is the slowest Panera I've been to. It takes 15-30 minutes to receive an order in the drive through, and every time I've been the wait times are about the same regardless of lunch rush. We have also had soups come out cold and been told to stick them in the microwave ourselves to heat them up. It's a decent Panera. It's better to use the drive-thru than go inside. However, I've had to check my bag because they've left things out of my bag in the drive-thru. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate and it tasted like water even after she asked them to remake it. I asked if the lattes were made with a real espresso machine or a mix and was told it was a real espresso machine. It tasted like a powder mix in water. Not something I'd order again. I get a pick two usually and I really like my food. I get the turkey cheddar sandwich and squash soup. It's fresh tasting as opposed to other sandwich places offerings. Hey Panera, did you think I wouldn't notice the major size down in your Fuji Apple Chicken Salad? It's my favorite time of year for Panera and that's when pumpkin flavors, autumn squash soup and others come back on the rotation. I stopped in today for a bowl of the autumn squash soup and thought I'd try the new grilled Mac and cheese sandwich. It wasn't too bad. Was basically what you expect, Mac and cheese between two slices of toast. I am sad they have discontinued the pumpkin muffy and now only carry a full pumpkin muffin. I order through the drive-thru a lot, I don't have a complicated order, usually a sandwich and salad, both with baguettes as the side.......the problem is, it's 50/50 if I get the baguettes.....sometimes I get 1 instead of 2, sometimes they put chips instead, etc.... Usually I have already left and don't say anything, but today I decided to walk inside and give my feedback, while letting them know once again, I did not get my baguettes (getting 1 inside of 2 this time). Ended up speaking to a Team Lead Barbara who was very nice, didn't give me a bunch of BS, let me know the issue, and immediately made it right, giving me a giant baguette to make up for all the times I didn't get it as a side lol. This is why I give it 4 stars. Love the food, love the fact they owned up to their mistake and made it right without any hassle, but wish the problem wasn't there to begin with. read more

Genuinely the worst Panera I have ever been to. I ordered the chicken front Tega Panini and that's exactly what I got but all the Fixin's were separate from the bread. So it wasn't much of a Panini. I went a second time and I got the Mediterranean veggie and that also was bombarded with feta cheese, The sandwich was not put together and just tasted awful. Panera is a cafe and bakery chain that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have used their delivery service on their app but have eaten inside as well as used their drive through service. The staff competency is hit or miss which can be frustrating but understandable during a time businesses are having difficulty hiring workers. We order a box of coffee weekly for Sunday mornings and there are times it may not be ready during your pick up time so plan ahead . The Modern Caprese sandwich is really good . It's not dry and the combo of flavors along with the Panera chips hit the spot. I tried the Baja Bowl and really enjoyed how it tasted. There was a good portion of rice, quinoa, beans and vegetables. My daughter and I enjoy their seasonal soups with or without a bread bowl. We have also ordered their breakfast sandwiches for morning meetings and the leftovers tasted good reheated . read more

Came in on a Saturday around 10:00 to get my second cup of coffee and I always hate it because I use cold creamer from my home so it cools the coffee so I always heat it for 30 seconds and usually it's steaming hot. But every weekend when I come in on Saturday the coffee is cold. It tastes old and after heating it for 30 seconds it's still not even warm. read more

The Temple Panera Bread is our goto place for good salads and other vegetarian meals. Food is good and fresh. But.... The complaint I have is when Barbara is not there, it is like it's a kids' playday. The coffee runs out and unless you bring it to their attention, it then goes back to be brewed. Orders seem to be lacking their typical consistency as in the ingredients are very skimpy or "dressing on the side" is added in already or not at all. So I jumped out of my comfort zone and decided to try their steak and Swiss cheese on. The lady told me all they had horseradish on it, so I thought there might be a little bit on there, but it turned it on. They slathered it on like mayonnaise pretty lively on the way home, but it was delicious and it was toasted so it was warm and gooey. I have traveled all over the United States for work and came into this Panera for my morning coffee and breakfast. I was blown away with the customer service that I received here. All of the staff is very personable but especially Barbara! She is hardworking, friendly, and goes above and beyond! Due to the level of customer service I have received I started making this part of my daily routine. I am always greeted with a smile and a warm greeting. The food is always fresh and consistent so the customer service really is what sets this location apart. Would highly recommend looking into the beverage club membership if you are a daily coffee drinker. It is a great program that they offer! read more

My review is specifically referencing their rapid pick-up service. I've used it for this location a few times and each time has been great. They've gotten my order correct, despite the specifications I make to my order. I always get their Ham, Scrambled Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, minus the ham, with avocado and basil pesto. I placed my order the night before for the next morning and when I arrived, the food was ready at the time I designated in my order. For my previous visit, I arrived about 5 minutes prior to the time I indicated in my order. The lady working behind the counter apologized profusely for the food not being ready, which was super unnecessary considering I was early. She quickly got my order together and I was walking out before the time I had originally asked for my food to be ready. My critique of the food? I could use some more salt; however, it's probably for the best that it's slightly under salted. And if you aren't already a rewards member, what are you waiting for? If you ever go, it's free and makes ordering a snap. When I signed up, I had a free pastry award waiting for me that I traded for a Kitchen Sink Cookie. Y'all!! Don't. Bother. This place is disgusting. It smells like sewer. I ordered a breakfast sandwich. How hard is it? It's one of the easiest things to make. First the lady rings it up as "SCRAMBLED". Uh no. The menu states "with an over easy egg". Why are you deciding for me? AND YOU ARE THE ASSOCIATE TRAINER?!? FML. Okay, I fixed that. No probs. I go get a fountain drink. Every thing on the floor is sticky. Like REALLY STICKY. The dining room is moderately clean. The pick up area is full of papers and has NO FORKS. But I don't care about that. I am going to eat my hot sandwich with my hands. Hmmmm... the egg is still raw. Now before you get all crazy with egg "doneness". No. This is not sunny side up. So I microwave it and can't find a fork. Game over. This place is terrible. And they are DEAD. No one else is here. They must be awesome at Catering. For the price you pay at Panera, I expect more. When I visited today, almost every table was dirty, even though there were only a few groups of people in the restaurant. My food was good today (potato soup in a bread bowl), but they have messed up my order several times in the past. Some employees are especially friendly and helpful, but many just sit there sulking. We love Panera Bread...so much so, that we eat here sometimes 5 days a week. Sadly, today was for the last time. We ordered a bread bowl with soup in it. We've noticed you get more soup if you order a regular bowl of soup, but we really like the bread bowl so we usually opt for that. You have to pay more for the bread bowl but get substantially less soup when you do so. Today, we simply asked if they could remove more of the "insides" of the bread bowl (hoping to get more soup like the regular ceramic bowl). When it was brought to us, it was only 1/3 full of soup. Pictures just don't do justice to how ridiculous it was. We asked what had happened, and their reply was that was the "correct portion size", which wasn't consistent with MULTIPLE other visits in the past. We had been told before that the bread bowl soaks up the soup, which proves to be inaccurate as well. I ordered a side fruit cup with all strawberries. I order this every single time. I have to pay extra for it to be all strawberries, but I usually am okay with it because you get a descent amount. Today, they bring it in a small plastic cup and it was less than half full. Once again, you can't tell by the pictures how small of the portion is, but believe me, it was an insult. It's like they don't want our business anymore. I own my own businesses and if the same person came in 5 days a week to buy from me, I'd definitely try to keep that customer happy and coming back in. This isn't the first time they've done this to us, but it's the last. There are too many other places in Temple that will be glad to have my loyalty as a customer. read more
