It was a good pizza, NY STYLE is a little hard to say. I grew up in the Bronx so I do have a clue. Cheese was very thick on both slices I had. Plenty of oil from the pepperoni on the slice. Plenty of Pepperoni for each slice. A very heavy feeling while eating this pizza . Crust could have been more crisp than it was. I know this may be contrary to other post but I have to be true to my heritage. Service was excellent you order at the counter, pay and then they bring the pizza to you. I'm extremely torn with this review, I'll try to sum it up. Food 10/10 almost ALWAYS. Highly recommend the chicken Alfredo pizza but we love all their pizza!!! Service has been pretty bad everytime we come. Another lunch stop while waiting for a car appointment to be done. Solid place to get a fast and tasty bite to eat, as ordering by the slice lets you get exactly what you want without waiting for a whole pizza. Lots of items on the menu, order at the counter, get a number to display on the table, and the food comes out quickly. Not super fancy on the drinks and dinnerware, but it's not that type of place. The food is pretty good. We've tried several pizzas and the manicotti. My daughter has gotten ravioli. It's definitely the best pizza that Temple has as far as takeout. Their delivery fee is high... more than what is listed on their website. Sometimes the pizzas have been delivered on time and sometimes they've been late, we've even had somebody go pick them up one of the times and they still were not ready for another 20-30 mins from the agreed upon time even though we were very clear many days in advance that we would have to have them at a certain time. We have always enjoyed meals from Italiano's but we got an order last night and my food was awful. I ordered a veggie calzone and paid extra to add pepperoni to it. What I received when it was delivered was a calzone with literally nothing in it except ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. None of the veggies and not the pepperoni I paid extra for. My husband had the Stromboli and it was good. I also got a salad and it was good. But this is the third time I've ordered a calzone and it was either wrong or not very good. This place is definitely a hole in the wall in downtown temple! You order at the front and they bring you your food. We got fettuccine Alfredo, pizza, and salads! The fettuccine was sooooo good, creamy and cheesy!! The salads were so big and full! The pizza was a good size with crispy crust! The garlic knots were the best garlic knots I've ever had! Similar to Luigi's, but Italianos had more flavor and were so light and fluffy but also crispy. Especially paired with their marinara it was so good. You can tell this is as authentic as it gets in temple tx. I highly recommend! I will definitely be coming back more often. read more

You can tell the pizza dough is fresh. There was a bit too much oil on my cheese and spinach slice but my friend loved the chicken calzone. Servings are generous and prices are very reasonable. I'll go back and try a different pizza to see if the oil was because they use lots of cheese-and who can complain about too much cheese! read more

My family and I went to Italiano's tonight because my mom had been and said the food was really great. We walked in about 45 minutes before close and the girl at the register did not greet us. When we asked if they were still serving the girl said "well we close at 9" clearly just trying to get us to leave so she did not have to take another table. As someone in the restaurant industry and a server myself, the way she spoke to my family and I was completely rude and unprofessional. I hope the owner or a manager sees this and can correct this. If you are open until 9 then servers should not be acting this way to people walking in 45 minutes before close. Anyway we went across the street to Joe's Pizza where they also close at 9. They were extremely welcoming and even went as far as telling us to take our time. Do not recommend Italiano's to anyone after this experience. This is a service industry and if you don't want to serve then don't work in it. read more

I have been a long time customer of this Pizza business. This time when we got home we found that there was no pizza sauce the pizza was a Canadian bacon, tomato, basil, spinach and mushrooms. There was no pizza sauce under the ingredients and no pizza sauce on top as they say they put it on top. We called them and only gave excuses. We live 16 miles from their business and when we got home after 5:00, we found out that they left out pizza sauce.They didn't offer to reimburse us only excuses. Terrible customer service and holy crap how is it that they can't train employees how to make a pizza. They have lost a long time customer. I didn't want any stars however yelp wont let me so I had to put one star. The cost of a crappy pizza was $40.00. I will never order a pizza there again they did not offer for us to come in another time after we drove home after quitting time. Crappy pizza and terrible customer service all in one visit. A medium salad was perfect for the two of us to share. I highly recommend Italiano's. I moved here to Temple in November and have been searching for pizza that I would like since. I'm not talking about one of the major chains but Italianos gave me what I was looking for. The food is delicious but I assume it depends on who's making it. The first time I went I got the carryout special which was a XXL 1- topping for $15.99 which is fair for 2024 along with a meatball sub. I chose hamburger and it was everything I wanted and the meatball sub was fresh, home-made meatballs not frozen loaded with cheese and sauce. I recommend getting a meatball sub definitely. I went back a second time and it was good again, I said they couldn't miss. This last time I went I ordered 2 pizzas 1 with hamburger the other with pepperoni. That time they weren't as good because the bottoms were burnt too hard and tasted like eating pieces of cardboard. I'm assuming they had an off day but when you pay near $40 for 2 pizzas there should be no off day. I really like Italianos and will give them another shot and hopefully it will be like the first time I had it.
