Said this location is no longer associated with the Harker Heights location. Garlic knots were a huge disappointment- they were rock hard. Pizza was pretty good, not spectacular. A thinner, floppy style pizza. Wings are ok. I ordered the butter garlic sauce which didn't have much flavor. If I l order again it will be with a different sauce. Great ranch! Bobby Lupo's New York Style Pizzeria 02-16-25 Walked in and had to ask someone where to sit. They said anywhere. Large open area with plenty of room. No atmosphere! Just a big room. We asked for menus and went and set down. We looked over the menu and decided what we were going to have. After waiting a while longer we finally asked if we needed to come up front and order or will they come to the table and take our order. She informed us that we had to order up front so we did! She took our order and we paid and went and had a set at a table. The table hadn't even been cleaned. We took napkins and wiped it off. We were trying to figure out what to do when we got our order. We didn't know if we had to go pick it up or would they bring it to us. We did self serve at the water fountain. We ordered; Large SPECIALITY pizza (Supreme) 10 wings Fried Mushrooms Fried Parmesan Zucchini They brought our appetizers out to us, the Mushrooms and Zucchini. They were OK, served hot and with ranch dressing. As I said, they were OK, nothing Special. The wings were hot and crispy, we did the Garlic Butter ones. Didn't see any sauce on the wings. They were very dry. The pizza looked promising. It was the Supreme. It had nice amount of toppings on it. That was about it. It really had no taste. I put ranch and Parmesan cheese on a piece and ate about half the slice. Again, looked good but had no taste. All I tasted was the cheese and Ranch! No one came and asked us if we needed anything or how things were. It's like we alone in the restaurant. No customer service at all. I was really shocked at the overall experience! We thought we would give it a try so we did. Different people have different taste and it was a miss for us today! But hay, we all have good days and bad days. This place is consistently so delicious! Ordered takeout last night pizza and wings(both extra toasted). The wings are SO GOOD the medium was spicy and flavor was WOW! The pizza is best in area-huge slices and fun alternatives. I grew up in Midwest where taco pizza is a thing; their taco pizza brings me right back. Not too bready not too thin. Perfect amount of sauce. I've had supreme, cheese, Margherita, which they made thin crust upon my request, and what's become my favorite, Buffalo Chicken. Their Buffalo sauce tastes Memphis style vinegary to me. That's why I love it. Also love the deeply toasted edges like you'd get in NYC out of one of those fire ovens It's a little pricy compared to the chains but you're getting what seem to be fresher ingredients and hand rolled dough. I love me a good hole in the wall and especially when they deliver. I didn't expect much given how empty the place and parking lot was. I must admit this was a Wednesday in the middle of the day. We have two 18" pizzas for take out last night. They were thin crust and very good. We all agreed that it was totally solid pizza. Would definitely order again. I very reasonable price for the amount of food! I am a bit of a pizza snob, so I don't see myself as easily impressed, but I thought this would make my list of pretty darn good. My pizza scale would be four categories: 1: best of all time (I have only had three pizzas that would make this list) 2: top 25% of pizza, including Bobby Lupo's. 3: Edible, but nothing special-most places. 4: completely lame, would not eat again. I've had good pizza from this place in the past and that's why this previous order was such a disappointment. I ordered a buffalo chicken ranch pizza and wings online for delivery. The order came out to about 68 dollars and I paid the delivery guy a 35 percent tip. The pizza was underwhelming, very little cheese and the other ingredients was spread thin across the pizza for one of the worst pizza experiences I've had in a long time. What really pissed me off was that the crust on this pizza was two inches in length. I had my brother and his wife over and I was embarrassed to serve them this pizza. From my experience when a pizza establishment gets this bad it's in its last days. I hope I'm wrong but I won't be frequenting this establishment again for a very long time. read more

I've been on a "One Bite Pizza Review" pizza journey the last year enjoying numerous east coast pizza joints based on reviews from El Presidente of Barstool fame... If you know, you know. With that said, my rating for Bobby Lupo's Belton location is given in the context of pizza available in in the Temple Texas area + the staff's willingness to work with me on the cook. Whilst you can find a couple establishments in the area that have solid pizza this is the best NYC style pie. As mentioned, I've asked the team for well done a couple times and they have actually worked with me to push the "well done" to the point the pie's are coming out of the oven with three extra minutes of cook which in my opinion makes the product close to exceptional (solid four star). They have the dough, sauce and cheese blend are solid so with a good cook, the pie's are really nice. Prices are very reasonable and perhaps best value for money in the area. I can't speak to their other ingredients as I'm a cheese and garlic lover. I did see a calzone come out whilst waiting for a pie the other day and it looked solid. I'll add photo's with my next order. If you like you prefer a bit of golden brown on the crust and a crispy undercarriage ask for your pie + three minutes well done. The staff is super friendly and love to make their customers happy. Good crew = full extra star on rating. The restaurant is oddly big inside and has a pool table and bar in the back. I've loved this place since the Harker heights days. My go to was always the chicken bacon ranch. The crust was fluffy and the topping a plenty. This, if you like to call it pizza, is an absolute slap in the face. Cracker thin crust and the amount of toppings?? Are you serious? I understand ozempic is the new trend but to my pizza?? Wow is all I have to say. I understand it was 45 minutes before closing but If you didn't want to make my pizza then you could have said no. As suggested by the owner/manager, we tried this place again. It was midweek, so the pub was empty and just one small group had been in the dining area. The bartender/server/short order cook (I think her name was Alyssa?) took our order. We kept it simple: some draft beer and a pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. Service was prompt and very polite. Pizza came out piping hot. Glad we tried them again - loved the pie! It's a floppy style, so expect the cheese to slide off. Even though the place was empty, we had a nice time keeping entertained with music from the juke box and the variety of TVs playing along the walls. This visit made up for the previous mediocre ones. Bobby Lupo's replaced the pizza joint next to Clem Mikeska's whose name I can't remember for the life of me. The food was fantastic, and for the reviews that say it's pricey, I strongly disagree. I ordered a medium cheese (sausage on half), a large Pepperoni, and a "giant pizza roll". After 15% tip it was in the neighborhood of $40. But here's the thing, their medium is the same size as a pizza chain large (14"). My kid usually kills half a large pizza by himself, and only got through 3 pieces of their medium. He really liked it, and he's kind of picky. My wife and I each had half of the giant pizza roll (more to come) and two slices of the large (16") pizza. It was phenomenal but we were both miserable from over eating. Two pieces of pizza is more than enough for me, to where I usually would eat 3 of a Pizza Hut large. The pizza is authentic NY style. Definitely foldable. And the ingredients are good quality. I wish their pizza oven was just a hair hotter, but that's ME being picky. Now the giant pizza roll: there was at least a pound of cheese in this thing, and a generous helping of pepperoni. Wrapped in a perfectly golden crust. It was incredibly greasy (because it's at least a damn pound of melted cheese and pepperoni) but so damn good. Bonus points: I'm pretty sure they make their own ranch. I will definitely be back. I definitely think it's better pizza and a better value than the chains, by far. Oh and I had two pieces reheated for lunch today, and it reheats VERY well. read more

I don't know why they are not crowded all the time other than the location may not lend itself to nighttime customers because the food is wonderful. Place is straight trash. It always has a full parking lot so I thought it would be good. It must be a front for a used car lot because it was empty inside and I was about to find out why. Ordered a steak stromboli and 15 minutes later was told they didn't have any steak so I changed to a regular one. Wife's pasta comes out with some kind of garlic knots but I think they should be called garlic rocks. Maybe 10 minutes later my stromboli comes out and I'm given a plastic fork and knife. Every cut just took all the filing away and it was a mess trying to eat. The waitress never came back so I took it upon myself to refill our water. Finally, I gave up and decided this would be easier to eat if I took it home and reheated it and used normal silverware. Went to get a box because still no waitress. I lingered around for a few and she finally came out and gave me a box. We went to pay and she realized that she needed to adjust the item they were out of with the correct lower priced item but she couldn't do it so she had to get some help. This rude woman appeared. I guess she was upset she had to leave her loud bingo game in the bar. She changed the charge and I told her that I didn't have a $3 Pepsi for which I was being charged. She told me that was for the 2 waters. So I inferred it's $1.50 for a 12oz styrofoam cup that I refilled myself. We let her know about the rocks and inquired if she's ever tried to eat their stromboli with plasticware. She said no one's ever complained. No apology, just rebuttals to our concerns. A note was postponed the door that they were closing early at 3 PM to prepare for their company Christmas party Instead of turning us away, they graciously opened their door to us, prepared a pizza & allowed us to eat in an unoccupied area while they started making preparations for their party The pizza was delicious, the employees were more than kind & accommodating! Well the pizza here actually exceeded our expectations once we were inside and seated, this being our first time visiting this restaurant. We started with house salads, served in paper bowls. Just okay. But they had blue cheese dressing which was a plus. We were then brought out paper plates for the awaiting pizza. But hey, the veggie pizza surprised us. However, while waiting in line, the guy infront of me pointed out that a fresh pizza that was waiting to go in the oven was sitting ontop of the paddle literally ontop of the trash can... when he brought it up to the girl at the counter (multi colored hair) , she said "and... what did you have to say about it" with an attitude.
