The chocolate chip cookies here are heaven on Earth. So I didn't actually come to the physical location of the store itself. However, there was catering through Jason's Deli at the hospital. I don't usually write reviews in these cases. This was an exception. I had a Turkey sandwich boxed meal. It's pretty much what you would expect - sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie. Sandwich and chips were good. Then the cookie... good Lord, my entire 25 years on this Earth flashed before my eyes (in a good way). It was a soft chocolate chip cookie. As you hold it on your hand, the cookie almost feels as if it's going to collapse on itself. That's how soft it is. First bite quickly became second bite quickly became third bite and before I knew it, the cookie was gone. That cookie was so damn delicious. I feel like there's a good chance that there was a stick's worth of butter in that cookie. Don't let that stop you from achieving pure happiness. Remember that I had a pickle in my boxed meal? Yeah, I traded it for another chocolate chip cookie. Easiest deal in my life. My thoughts after eating that second cookie, "what a chump" and I don't regret it at all. Greed had taken over. After the lecture was over, I went back to that lecture hall. I had saw that someone left their chocolate chip cookie. Not sure what was wrong with that person. I prayed that it would still be there. So I purposely came back just to see if that delight was still there. It was. The good Lord answered my prayers. I ate that cookie. I was happy. I'm still happy as I think about those three cookies. I really like the idea of Jason's Deli. From sandwiches and soups and salad bars baked potatoes. Everything taste great and you know you're eating healthy. But the staff is what really makes the place. From the managers to each employee, they all take interest in making sure your experience is great. They never complain about any request. They just smile and bring you what you ask for Even if you make a mistake when ordering. Jason's has the best salad bar in town with plenty of options -more than you can imagine. you can order online and they bring your food right out to you in your car. Been coming to Jason's deli for over 4 years now; I can say with confidence, I have had more positive experiences than negative. The store is always clean, never really have to worry about finding a clean table or dirty utensils. The food is somewhat hit or miss, 9/10 it's always fresh and enjoyable. Very rarely do they mess up orders or give too cold of food. It's a deli, don't expect HOT sizzling "fajita-style" food to come out. And you get FREE ice cream! read more

Went to this location to pick up a tiff treats order and yes I can contest on the other reviews about " judgment of skin color". Stood for about 3 minutes while two men look directly at me from the kitchen, did not say one word. Another young man that was cleaning walked over and asked me did I need help. Told him what I was there for, he walked over to the guys that saw me approached the counter and said the order is not ready! I sat down to wait, an elderly couple came in, of course different race standing not even by the counter, immediately got an hello and walked up to assist them! In addition, two women walked in and got a hello from the counter and a wave!! Recently had dinner here with my family and I was very impressed with how much care they took with food allergies. I ordered the salmon sandwich on gluten free bread and the meal came in a separate container that was labeled to indicate a food allergy. Fresh gloves were used, and they specifically asked if it was a preference or allergy when I was ordering. There was a single employee who really stood out in being incredibly helpful and brought us our food, added the Coca-Cola syrup for my dad (it was out), and later assisted us with to-go containers. WTFETA ... decided to try their avocado toast, expecting a delightful and trendy brunch option. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. First off, the toast wasn't even toasted! It was just a slice of plain, untoasted bread, which made for a soggy and unappetizing base. To make matters worse, the avocado itself lacked flavor and freshness. But the real kicker was the feta cheese. There was way too much of it, SEE PHOTO completely overpowering the delicate taste of the avocado. Instead of a harmonious blend of flavors, it felt like I was eating a feta cheese sandwich with a hint of avocado. It smelled like the Jason's Bathroom. simply not worth it. This is a specific review of the Salad Bar. I ate there for lunch today with a friend, and went to the salad bar. The presentation is great, the items presented sometimes leave much to be desired. The Broccoli salad is made with raw broccoli, rather than blanched. This makes the salad very difficult to chew. The beets are flavorless, perhaps a pickled variety would do better. The corn salad is also flavorless. The pasta salad is great, but lacks dressing. There used to be cole slaw, but it is absent now. All in all, I think the choices on the salad bar should be re-evaluated for taste, ease of eating and variety. Other than that, Jasons is a great place for sandwiches. Best croissant sandwich I've ever had. Also absolutely awesome chunky salsa. Salsa mild but has delicious medium after flavor of fiery zest. Apples crisp and flavorful. Strawberries are flavorful and robust. Yogurt is absolutely deliciously sweet. Blue corn chips crunchy and delicious. Broccoli cheddar soup is also good. First of all, I was completely shocked with the customer service that I was greeted with. I rarely ever come here. The last time was years ago. But the cashier that took my order was so extremely friendly. I felt like I was being punked. It felt too good to be true, but on top of that, it's such a deal to get a to-go salad from the salad bar because I can get full and have leftovers for later. It's rare that happens these days in this economy every time I have visited the restaurant is usually calm and comfortable. think there's a certain demographic of people who eat at Jason's, but I'm definitely here for it! read more

This is my first time at a Jasons Deli. I was so impressed with everything. I was impressed with the cleanliness. I was extremely impressed with how clean the restaurant is and it was lunch time. I was impressed by how friendly everyone was and how happy everyone seemed to be working there. One worker was actually singing and humming while changing the ice tea containers. The food was very good. I didn't pay, so I can't comment on the pricing, but what I saw on the above menu, they looked comparative to other places. Even the lady that bused tables or got you a new bowl was nice and she had a little bit of trouble with English, but she made sure she got someone to help us. WTG to the Managers and their staff. The service at the front was terrible. I didn't like the management, the cashier, and the attitude given to my friends over the issues at the front. I owe my thanks to the chef for making my birthday less of a mess and for compting our meal. The lady that rang us up at the front didn't know much about how to ring us up on the cash register, possibly a trainee. A male manager, I didn't quite catch his name but it started with an E, came up to fix some issues that we were having and seemed kind of snappy after we had multiple issues at the front with the cashier. We, my 2 friends and I, were having issues paying because they paid the wrong amount on tips. They refunded the money, but we weren't able to get our food because it takes 24-72 hours to show up as a refund. So we sat down to figure out the issue, and I was offering to pay as it was my birthday tradition to sit and eat strawberry shortcake with loved ones, but the chef in the kitchen compted our meal. read more

The store front is bland and belies the extreme quality and delicious food and excellent staff training and attention to detail that this establishment offers. I had a "Bigger Better BLT" and their amazing potato soup. Their soft drink offerings are standard but their tea choices were very very good. What really captured my attention was that there is two levels of quality assurance as food leaves the kitchen. Their is a staff member that verifies the order and assembles the offerings in the best light. The involved manager then does a final check, and then the food is delivered to the table in a pleasant and professional manner. The salad bar is spotless and to top it off, they offer free soft-serve ice cream on the way out that is of good quality. This is my new favorite establishment in Temple. read more

I really have to be critical or having a bad day to give Jason's deli a bad review. That's why when I see one and I dont know where to eat, I default to JDs. After arriving in Temple to check on a relative at Scott and White, the age old question arised--Where do you want to eat? What do you want to eat? I was driving, so I really appreciate when a passenger has an idea what they want. My mom usually is not very picky and leaves that up to me. Since 31st street is the main drag for everything in Temple, I just drove down the street until I saw something that I wanted. Saw JDs and that's where we ended up. The parking lot it a little crowded. There are like 4 different ways to get in and out, but they merge together. Not a good situation in a tight space. I typically get a handicapped space for my Mom, but in this case, trying to to park in front of the restaurant was problematic. I like to back up into spaces, especially in busy and tight parking situations. The traffic and space didnt allow for either, so we parked across the way. Luckily the drivers were alert and caring enough to slow down and stop for a lil ol lady! Entering in, an enlarged size wall size menu is in full view before hitting the counter. Menus are there as well to outline your choices and prices. I asked Mom what she had a taste for and ended up ordering two of their newer sandwiches. Restaurant was not too congested or busy and ordering was a breeze. One kudo that I have for this restaurant is that they have buzzers for the orders. Instead of someone running around trying to find you and bring your food to you, you come get your order and seat down wherever you please. Saves time for the kitchen for sure. When the order was ready, Mom checked the sandwich to make sure the beef was well done. It was, so she was satisfied. My sandwich was good, but I should have stuck with my good old favorite, the California Club or Royale. Plus sandwich seemed a little small compared the the portions I've gotten at other JDs. My mom had ordered a Sprite, but after further talks later in week, she stated that the drink was more of Mello Yellow or Mountain Dew. I didn't understand her statement because the dispenser was marked Sprite. Mom's taste buds are very accurate, so I beleive her. With the combined issues with parking, that's my one star takeaway. Otherwise, the dining experience was warm and inviting. Mom loved the little cornbread and gingerbread muffins. We filled up too much on the mixed nuts before the food was ready, and indulged in the complimentary ice cream on our way out. Great dining option for those needing a filling meal and health conscious as well. Many choices for adults and kids alike. Plus they can accompany large groups of people. About a group of 20 were dining at the time we came. As I suspected, you can't go wrong eating at JDs. read more

Initially, we had great customer service when trying to decide what we wanted to eat and was advised on all specials. So that part was a good experiences. As now for the food it was mediocre. The salad bar has a good variety to choose from. The tomato basil soup tasted more like an oven roasted black bean tomato soup. So don't expect a traditional tomato basil if you order this. The grilled chicken panini looked like sausage(see picture). No bueno! I'd say there are a few things that could be improved about the quality of food that would make this restaurant improve from the below average rating it is receiving. read more

This is the best Jason's deli that I've been to. I haven't ever had a bad meal here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The dining area is clean & inviting. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait because they're busy but then there's free soft serve ice cream. I'm not sure what the difference is but this particular location has better soft serve than any of the other locations I've visited. That makes a huge difference to me. I look forward to my chocolate cone. I also look forward to fresh fruit with their sweet fruit dip. My favorite sandwich is the zucchini grillini. It is a very unique sandwich that is unique to Jason's deli and this particular location nails it every time. You can pick one of their sandwich creations or do it like my kids do and make your own. Went in for dinner and was VERY dissatisfied. The salad bar (which was my meal) had many things understocked. There was an employee making to go orders off of the salad bar and saw me scraping out the soggy residual lettuce for my salad but didnt bother to get more when he used the last or when he saw me struggling...the bread was empty as well. I was under the impression that I was able to make another trip so I wasn't too upset at that point until I went and asked for another plate and found out the tiny salad I got during to unstocked food was all I was gonna get. And upon telling the employee she didn't seem to care and gave me a couple of corn muffins (still neglecting to restock the bread) ......My kids gobbled down my couple of corn muffins because at this point we'd been here for 20 minutes and they hadn't received their food. Another 11 minutes passed before finally I asked and the food was FINALLY coming. When I asked I was told they were understaffed in the kitchen . I try to be understanding especially now when many places are understaffed BUT when I was at the register and the girl stood staring at me when I told her I'd need a few minutes at that point she could've told me that the wait was 30 minutes for a sandwich (the place was not crowded so it wasn't obvious and front of the house was overstaffed) The people in front standing around could also be stocking some of the empty food that I didn't get to enjoy and left hungry. Moral of my loong rant is that Jason's deli needs to communicate, prioritize their employees, and perhaps stop taking phone in or online orders if they cannot handle them. I was in Jason's Deli last Saturday with my family it was around 1:00 and guess they had a lunch rush so most of the tables was still dirty. So I started cleaning some tables because we had a big party. I asked one of my managers (a young guy) for a wet towel and he stopped looked straight in my eye and walked away and never got a towel for me. He was very rude. So I ask another older gentleman for a towel and he came helped me clean off the tables and was so nice. When my family was ordering their food that same manager (young guy) was at the register he turned around and walked off while they was placing their order. He is just RUDE!!! read more

Today we went to get some food. I own a power wheel chair and it started to rain. Since we didn't have our cover for the chair, which costs $40k, and will be ruined by the rain, we got our order to go. When we got home, my wife noticed we did not receive the baked chips that was included in my mulaffa special. She immediately called the restaurant and was told that the "complementary" (exact wording) was her responsibility and if she wanted them to come back and get them. What can I say about this Temple, Texas location? The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional and she doesn't keep her word or honor her patrons. I went during one night of the last ice winter weather and got a wrap to go.
