I love chickfila, but Dan Cathy would be embarrassed by this location. Every. Single. Time. I come here and my order is always messed up. As a former chickfila employee for 4+ years I think the whole team needs to be retrained. That or Steve joy needs to make some changes/retire. (This pick is from a couple nights ago). No silverware, they "ran out" of Mac and cheese and gave me wrong size side and I waited longer than the McDonald's line for it. It's not just this visit every time I come here they mess something up. I will not be coming to this location and hope the new cfa on west Adams is operated by someone other than Steve joy.

Love Chick fil A... but today's visit left me feeling a little ripped off. Chicken nowhere to be found after the first 2 bites. Fries were under done as well.

Usually very consistent and good. Taking off one star because the Dr. Peppers were watered down. Chicken was really good and waffle fries were awesome.

The only açaí bowl left is closer to the real deal! Breakfast now features different varieties of hash, baked oats, breakfast burrito, açaí bowl and mango bowl. In addition to smoothies and fresh pressed juice ****** Originally pulled into the parking lot to run inside Starbucks for a Frappuccino - But decided to give GAbbagreen and their smoothies a try instead. Being from Hawaii, where the modern Açaí bowl was made popular and can be found are on every corner, I was intrigued to see what Texas could do with it.... so I ordered the Rio. It seems like they blend something (juice maybe ?) with the açaí and make it more like a thin smoothie with fruit topping. Super runny and not thick, not anywhere near the sorbet or milk shake consistency its ment to be. Even served in a To-go cup. But overall, not a bad substitute when you can't get your hands on an authentic açaí bowl. I'm sure the Gracie family (founders of the açaí bowl) would approve. Will be back another time to try other menu items, which include whole food meals that feature steamed veggies and protein. Prices are acceptable.

However, there was catering through Jason's Deli at the hospital. I don't usually write reviews in these cases. This was an exception. I had a Turkey sandwich boxed meal. It's pretty much what you would expect - sandwich, chips, pickle, cookie. Sandwich and chips were good. Then the cookie... good Lord, my entire 25 years on this Earth flashed before my eyes (in a good way). It was a soft chocolate chip cookie. As you hold it on your hand, the cookie almost feels as if it's going to collapse on itself. That's how soft it is. First bite quickly became second bite quickly became third bite and before I knew it, the cookie was gone. That cookie was so damn delicious. I feel like there's a good chance that there was a stick's worth of butter in that cookie. Don't let that stop you from achieving pure happiness. Remember that I had a pickle in my boxed meal? Yeah, I traded it for another chocolate chip cookie. Easiest deal in my life. My thoughts after eating that second cookie, "what a chump" and I don't regret it at all. Greed had taken over. After the lecture was over, I went back to that lecture hall. I had saw that someone left their chocolate chip cookie. Not sure what was wrong with that person. I prayed that it would still be there. So I purposely came back just to see if that delight was still there. It was. The good Lord answered my prayers. I ate that cookie. I was happy. I'm still happy as I think about those three cookies. The cookies here are phenomenal. This is unfortunately an understatement. No words can describe what I experienced today. If you want to live a fulfilling life, get a cookie here. Please.

Appetizers were Risotto Tots, Very good, also to large crab cake with remoulade sauce, excellent. Shrimp scampi was excellent and very filling. They have a very diverse menu for varying appetites. Since it's a small space and echoey, we could not hear ourselves over the group of people talking. Drinks: We started with the Queen Bee cocktail and a red wine. The cocktail was good but I didn't feel the mixture of flavors worked well for my taste. I can't recall the name of the wine but it was a nice wine to pair with red meat. Appetizers: we started with the fried green tomatoes and the Caesar wedge salad. The tomatoes were a little bland and came out cold (not sure if that was on purpose?). The wedge was good but was slathered in dressing which made it a little too rich. *Side note: I realized after we left that complimentary bread was mentioned on the appetizer menu, but I'm unclear if we had to ask for that...? It was never offered nor brought out. I decided against ordering the French baguette because I assumed there was complimentary bread. Entrees: I had the Ravioli Diablo and my husband tried the Sea Bass special that came with clams, mussels and lobster ravioli. The Ravioli Diablo was just OK, kind of a small portion. For the special, he liked the mussels but thought the sea bass was a little overdone. In hindsight, there was a lot going on with that plate; the ravioli was a bit out of place and it could've used a nice risotto or rice instead. Dessert: we tried ordering Creme brulee but they were out so we ordered the "brown butter" cheesecake instead...I'm including the description from the menu and a picture of the bare cheesecake loaf I received with no toppings (I took the picture after my husband took a bite). I'm actually most disappointed about this since I was hoping it would be the part of the meal to make up for the mediocrity of everything else. "Vanilla bean brown butter with candied pecans and soft whipped cream" Honestly I tried to be optimistic but it was overall not the experience I was hoping for. Especially for a $200 bill.

I have previously written reviews about Pignetti's and Las Marias. Today, while driving back from Houston to Abilene, I stopped at Thai Café in downtown Temple. What an experience. Moni handled my order, and within minutes, my food was ready. I ordered the summer rolls and the crab noodle soup. The rolls, at first glance, resemble the standard versions you might find at HEB, Kroger, or similar grocery stores. However, what these very thoughtful chefs have done is elevate the dish with a distinctive dipping sauce and the addition of fresh basil, which transforms the rolls into something vibrant and unexpectedly complex. The flavors truly open up in a way that feels intentional and refined. But the real highlight was the crab noodle soup. It made my entire day. Thai Café is about three hours from my home, and I would genuinely consider making that drive on a Sunday just for this bowl of soup. The portion was generous, with abundant crab and noodles, and the broth was rich, layered, and deeply satisfying. I ordered it mild, but to my palate it was not spicy at all. Next time, I will not hesitate to ask for the full heat. If you find yourself in Temple, Thai Café is not optional. It is essential.

My friend got steamed vegetables with rice, and the vegetables were unappetizing and bland. We got the mango sticky rice for dessert, which I am normally a big fan of. This one was coloured green, which already threw us off as it looked radioactive or poisonous. The taste was not great either. I've had a lot of mango sticky rice, and this was probably my least favourite of them all. Service wise, our server was friendly but forgetful. She gave us one bill for our table, which we didn't expect because we were evidently three friends, and usually the norm would be to split checks. I didn't see any signs or note in the menu that they don't split checks, so we all thought it was bizarre that she just brought one bill for the table. This is a nice place to sit and chat with friends though as there is plenty of seating and a warm ambience.
