Good food for sure it has been awhile since I have been in a KFC. We had the extra crispy and regular fried chicken. All the chicken was moist and not dried out, biscuits were great and soft not hard and dried out. Mash potatoes like I remember them from many years ago. I work in Temple, Texas and when Im done with work, I want to eat something. One day I was just so hungry so I decided to go through the drive thru. It's actually a lot easier to just order at the location rather than using the app. Depending on the location youre doing a pick up at, sometimes they don't allow picks up at the drive thru. This one allows you to pick up at the drive thru window. As usual, the taste of the chicken is the same as usual. Same recipe and across the line the same like every KFC. If I could post a -5 stars review I would. This place is disgusting. The floor is slippery for those of us using canes. The food is sloppily prepared and lousy. My Wife and I were on a road trip and stopped in at KFC in Temple, TX to grab a quick bite. Decided on their 4-Tenders Combo. Four-Chicken Tenders with Fries, Biscuit & a Drink. Have not had any KFC Chicken for some time now and these were Really Good - Nice & Crispy breading with Tenderlicious Chicken. The service was beyond horrible. The drive up help didn't even greet us he just asked for our order. When we got to the window he told us the amount t we gave him money. But for some reason, today, I came through and got my usual, and didn't get two sides of fries that come with my meal. Every now and then I get a craving for KFC. No more. People were nice. Drive through service was fast. But then I got home and opened the box. If the chicken leg weighed more than an ounce I'd be surprised. Tiny. Maybe one bite of meat. It was extra crispy. My other pieces were original recipe thighs and they were just a greasy mess, leaving a puddle of oil in the box, and also not much meat. I've been to a few KFC establishments and they are usually ok, but this place is by far the worst. The service is so slow. When I placed my order for grilled chicken, the attendant taking my order had to check of the grill machine was on. What kind of place advertises that they sell grilled chicken and not even have any pieces ready for customers. Better yet, why was the machine not even on. KFC should just remove it from the menu if it's not even available, ready to go for customers. But in any case, I was hungry and I already waited and placed my order. The attendant said it would take about 30 minutes for my order to be ready. I waited 45-60 minutes for my order. I was hungry and pissed. When one of the workers brought my order to my parked car, I of course checked to make sure everything was there. At least they got my order correct. The chicken was moist but the flavor was ok. I would seriously think twice before ordering from here. You'll get better and faster service from Bush's Chicken or Popeye's. This is the first and last time ordering from this KFC. read more

Today I visited your establishment in Temple TX, I was asked to wait to take my order initially and I was fine with that. When I approached the window to pay and accept my order I was then told by Rhianna that if I wanted my order then that it would have to be a mixture of original and extra crispy, I asked her how long the wait was for my original request and she turned to ask the gentleman behind her and he answered with " its going to be 17 minutes", I told Rhianna I was willing to wait and she yells to him that I was willing to and she politely asks me to park. With the experience I had just from the drive thru I proceeded to set a stop watch on my phone to track time and I wait patiently. Seventeen minutes go by and I make my way into the lobby where additional customers have been waiting, I wait an additional minute and a half and proceed to communicate with the counter clerk that I was waiting on an existing order, she goes around the corner to speak with the same gentleman Rhianna spoke with and she returns to tell me that my order would take an additional 6 minutes, I agree. I wait and by the time I get my order roughly 35 minutes total have passed since I initially parked my vehicle. I ask the clerk if I may possibly get some form of partial reimbursement for the extended amount of time I spent on waiting, she then tells me that she was just the cashier and not capable of that, I then ask to speak with the manager and she goes to the gentleman Rhianna spoke with originally, he comes around the corner and asked how he may help me. I then proceed to explain my timeline there and how I would like some form of partial reimbursement for the extended time that was spent on one order, he responds with over exaggerated hand gestures and physically leaning over the counter and speaking in an excessively loud voice to tell me and I quote " you got yo food , we done , you not getting a refund", he also tells me that its not all his fault. I tell him ok and that I heard what I needed to hear before walking away I tell Mr white that the line in the lobby waiting for chicken was the result of poor management. Brandon white, Im not sure if he was the manager due to the interaction I had , but the individual in question had a tear drop tattoo next to his eye and a sloppy appearance. Mr White exhibited extremely poor management skills this evening and a lack of composer, the fact that this individual is a manager of one of your establishments shows that your area manager either has extremely low standards or a victim themselves of a shallow talent pool. The food was great and the employees other than Mr White were kind and text book. I was later called and told by an individual that I knew who was there as well, that after I left Mr White felt the need to yell to his employees who asked about what I wanted and how I wanted a refund. This is further proof that Mr White, exhibits poor judgement and even less couth. Searching for a reasonably priced and filling meal on the run is really challenging. Luckily since the time I lived in Temple, many choices have been added to the equation. Still, I defaulted to good ole KFC to satify our hunger. We had stayed in town at a nearby hotel to be present before a relative went into surgery. However, the surgery time was pushed up and I had just came from the gym, so I rushed my Mom to the hospital and washed up before returning to wait along side my Mom. Once we heard that things were well, I ran out to get is something to eat. I searched Yelp and Google as well (Google had actually informed me that my first choice to stop was closed), so I pulled over and decided to go to KFC. Not trying to break laws, I ended up driving down 31st and up 35 to get back to West Adams which is a one way. About a ten minute detour. Better safe than sorry--or paying a ticket. Definetly more construction than I desire to be around. Gives you a 290 construction vibe for sure! However, it was worth it. Pulled in and crewmember greeted me immediately. However, looking at offerings for the $5 box, I was hoping that I could get the all white box. Nope. That was for a limited time. I stepped back and contemplated my purchase while letting another customer order. Decided to get the all white combo for Mom and a $5 box for myself, but requested two legs instead of leg and thigh. The crew member said yes, so I was satisfied. The all white box was probably 1.50 more. Plus I added 2.00 green beans for my Mom because she believes in eating her vegetables. Each meal came with a drink and they threw in a cookie for my Moms combo. By the time I filled the cups with drinks, they had my order ready! Super speedy and accurate. I checked my bag and everything was there as requested. I will admit that KFC chicken with the exception of the breast pieces ard pretty scrawny, but the original spices was finger lickin good, the mac and cheese was cheesy, and the cookie nice a chewy. Biscuit was a little dry and could have used some butter honey to make it more desirable, but I would come back to KFC again for sure. Just need to find a shortcut to avoid the detour! read more

Fell victim to the commercial for the new crispy chicken sandwich. I haven't had KFC in probably 20 years, now I remember why. Must say the staff were exceptionally nice. The sandwich was a bit underwhelming but the green beans on the side were awesome. They tasted fresh and a little smoky like they had been cooked with ham. I'm not usually that big fan of fast food, but I may go back just to try the fried chicken, especially since the staff was so nice. read more

Drive thru service was excellent! Lady taking my order was pleasant and answered as soon as I pulled up. I spent no more than 5min total (including how long it took me to order) in the drive thru. I received my food and drink almost immediately after paying. All hot and fresh. Chicken perfectly crispy. By the time I got home everything was still piping hot. I specifically chose KFC over popeyes in temple due to the horrible service and cold food from popeyes at my last encounter. I had never been to this KFC. Remodel is nice, customer service is excellent, but the food quality needs improvement. Bring back the Colonel's formula: Real chickens seasoned with real herbs and spices pressure cooked and battered to perfection like the good old days. Make it more expensive if you have to, even if it means ridding the menu of gimmicky Fill Up meals. Improve the side items. The instant mashed potatoes make me reminisce to the elementary school cafeteria. The macaroni and cheese has consistency of microwaved day old pasta which would be fine if I wanted to stay home and eat leftovers. Biscuits are flaky enough. Chicken had some suspicious off colored parts. I didn't go in with high expectations yet was still left disappointed. Things went South when my wife noticed a big white hair dangling off the Sierra Mist fountain nozzle. It is natural and understandable that drink fountains have a tendency to accumulate mold and condensation but this one has obviously not been cleaned in quite some time and you could visibly see mold in various locations throughout and also it was very dusty. We caught a whiff of some really bad raw onion smell from the coleslaw. We returned it and the manager was prompt with a replacement of a different side item. We were greeted when we walked in and were attended to very quickly and efficiently and also were thanked for our business and told goodbye as we left the premises which was a nice touch but unfortunately the meal took the highlight of disappointment. Considering the relative lack of cleanliness in the dining area the bathroom was slightly cleaner which is sad to say. The customer service is friendly enough to make somebody want to come back but unfortunately the lack of cleanliness and sanitation and also the lackluster food quality will be strong enough of a force to make me not want to return. I would suggest for their corporate office to ditch the Reba McEntire Colonel Sanders commercials in favor of a revamp of food quality and sanitation in all of its restaurants. read more

After spending quite a while trying to get the employees to understand that I had ordered as part of my meal 1 container of Cole slaws and 2 containers of potatoes and gravy, they still managed to give it to me wrong. So I drove around and had to walk in to exchange one of the Cole slaws for a mashed potato. Only to get home to find they didn't give me any gravy.
