Stop 2/10 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour Amazing Brewery Race 2025. We drove from DFW and stopped here on our way to Austin, about an hour before close. They were welcoming and tossed out some good brews. While there was some confusion over how to process the Hop Passport discount but they just worked around it with no issues. Unfortunately, we had to rush through this stop but I'd love to swing back in and check out the other offerings they have. The crowd was electric. I'll be honest. I usually am not a fan of most of bolds beers, but the playground for my kiddos keeps me coming. But today on st patty's day , I had the best beer BY FAR ive ever had from here. The strawberry leprechaun farts. Oh my amazing. Please continue to produce this beer. And today we also ordered the voodoo Mac and cheese which was LEGIT. So much meaty goodness in every bite. Was looking for a brewery on a road trip, headed for Temple, Texas. Not a lot to see; buuttt found one! Bold Republic is run like a family owned ice house/sports bar. Probably is! Inside, outside, area for kiddos, and pooches. Decent brew selection and the wings and fries were tasty and had a unique twist in the batter--pop rocks! Takes ya back a bit doesn't it! Trivia night every Wednesday is fun here. It's well organized, and they have gift cards for first and second place. The vibes are really nice both inside and outside, although during the summer the AC is too cold inside. It's family oriented with a playground outside. The staff is friendly. They have a good drink selection here with beer and wine. Their sours are good for sweeter drinks. I tried the grape sour and peach sour and opted for the grape sour. I couldn't finish more than half the glass as I couldn't stomach any more sugar though. It tasted like grape soda. Their food is really good too. We had mini burgers, seasoned fries, wings, hush puppies, a charcuterie board, and other bar food. The fries were so tasty. As someone who works in a similar industry, I am aware of how impactful reviews are to a business. I know all it takes is one poor review to throw off a handful of positive ones. So I will provide grace. I was referred to this brewery by a friend in the area that I came down to visit. The beer selection was nice, pricing was fair and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Unfortunately, there was a staff member I overheard( I had no choice but to hear) yelling at another one for "help" from the complete opposite side of the buidling. It was not done playfully either. There was a very toxic nature to this employee and I am able to say this because the tension continued in front of myself and other customers. This employee proceeded to make negative comments about her coworker to other staff, all while being in the presence of customers. Very unpofessional and distasteful. I was not surprised since she appeared very young. I did not get a name because I honestly didn't care to at the time. (I now wish I had) She was young, blonde hair and had a knee brace. I've worked with people who have made my shift unbearable so I really hope her attitude is not that way on a daily basis. I don't mean to rant, I guess the experience was a little triggering for me. I would return to this brewery because I had a great experience dispite that occurance. I hope my rating doesn't hinder the rating too much but I felt to need to share this. read more

Aside from flies pestering about, during hot and humid weather, indoors and out, I enjoyed this spot quite a lot! On the day of my birthday I draaaank - probably not the best decision, since I didn't wanna swank. My drinking skills have faltered over decades. They are really nothing worth accolades. My grubba-dub dubbing skills however, are more on point; especially for gourmet burgers at this joint. A 4-glass flight of cheer, plus a tall mug of "Women's Work" beer, filled me up so... after Chicken Brie with Bacon and Avo. The ambiance looks pretty good: industrial style with glossy tables of customized wood. There's plenty of seating though, even out in their patio. Their cool bar area adds a nice touch. I saw a few people chugging local stuff. I think they're regulars and such. I'd love to enjoy more deliciousness off their menu again someday. Perhaps I'll be back at the start of autumn, that's on a Saturday. Until then, come check out this local brewery! Make friends with the owners and don't forget gratuity. read more

We had a great time here at trivia night! The menu is pretty extensive for a brewery and the food we had was great. Between the three people in my group, we had the deviled eggs, a shrimp po boy, sliders (kid's cheeseburger - they don't actually have sliders on the menu), and fries. The fries were INCREDIBLE. I'm not the kind of person who orders just fries at a restaurant, but I would here. They have PLENTY of parking. Probably more parking than actual capacity in the restaurant, actually. They have a large outdoor patio and a great bar with ample seating. They do not have any liquor, just beer and wine, but it's a brewery so that's probably to be expected. Trivia was super fun. We took first so that probably supported me having a great time, but there was a good crowd and the questions were fun. Audio was good both inside and out on the patio. Service overall was pretty good, but at one point I went to the bathroom and both of my friends stepped outside (obviously that's not ideal, but I was in the bathroom so I couldn't stop them). When I came back to my seat at the bar, my water and beer were both gone. My friends were seated on either side of me and both of their drinks were untouched, plus they both had items such as sunglasses etc., and they were untouched. I had interacted with everyone working behind the bar, so I have to assume someone behind the bar realized their mistake when I sat back down but nobody addressed it. I eventually asked if my beer could be replaced and said "I had about half a beer left" and was provided about half a beer. I mean, sure, that's all they owed me, but draft beer margins are very good and it just felt silly. I'll definitely be back here for more trivia and great food. read more

We went here last night for my going away party. Driving out to West Adams on the back roads of Temple, I had some misgivings about the location. But when I arrived, it's a cool find! This bar brewery has a wall of taps featuring a wide array of a wine, seltzer and self brewed beer selections. Last night was their 5th anniversary so everyone was in a festive mood. Nelly the bartender opened my tab and was especially friendly in helping me make my selections for a beer flight. I had the Peggy hill, stugots, captain Jack and awesome-o IPA. My favorite was the Italian Pilsner (stugots). I'm not a big fan of IPAs but the awesomeO was pretty tasty. I also liked the Captain Jack which reminded me a little bit of Shiner Bock. Shout out to Curtis, who was absolutely hilarious and served us the rest of the night. I also sampled the prickly pair and white peach seltzers. The prickly pear was a bit sweet for my taste, but the white peach was very refreshing. We also purchased the fried green tomatoes - which were to die for, and two pizzas which were likewise delicious - especially after a few too many beers Outside is a chill, family friendly area with a covered patio, play ground for kids, ax throwing and corn hope for adults. There was a bounce house and great live band for the anniversary festivities. I'm a beer drinker, and while I enjoyed each beverage...not everyone is going to be overly impressed with some of the beer flavors. Some of my friends said their sours were way too sour, the flavor was lacking for some of the lagers. I enjoyed my drinks but would just chalk it up to being a relatively new brewery still working out the kinks. I'm not a seltzer drinker and I definitely recommend the white peach. I saw some of the other reviews lamented the quality of the food but we had a great time and I definitely recommend checking this place out. The service is great, the atmosphere is fun, the food was tasty, and I'm sure you can find an adult beverage that is to your liking! Next time I want to throw some axes!! read more

They do brew a few decent beers and zero issues with the working staff, they were all great and accommodating. That is why I gave this a 3 star. The food is mediocre at best, especially for the prices. Ordered Fish and Chips 2 times. - Both times, is fish is very miniscule in ratio to the batter. The good thing I can say about the actual fish, it was not rubbery. Ordered Cheeseburger 1 time. - The special blend could use less seasoning in my opinion. The other issue I had was the patty was super compressed and was served has a hard, dry disc of beef blend. Finally. - Unable to request the fries without seasoning or salt, they are way too salty for my taste. In all, I have been there enough to not return. read more

Had to wait in line at bar to then ask what happened to me food order at 1430. Person at bar said that I was charged but order didn't get processed. Do not use QR codes to order. I still have a charge on my card for food that I have to talk to my bank about. Beware going here. You may get charged for something you never got. Recommend you set your closing hours to match your kitchen closing hours so as to not confuse any unfortunate future customers. Location is great, we don't have much else around like this and it's very family friendly (playground). Food prices are quite high; my burger was $18. It was just an average size burger and any upgrade (like avocado) is another dollar. I did pay $1 extra for sweet potato fries that were delicious. Small glass of wine was $11.55 and just eh, but I know that's what I get for ordering wine in a brewery. We also got the brisket nachos and they were just mid- if the prices were low I don't think anyone would complain but for those prices I would expect some amazing food. This place is really cute! Something for everyone: indoor and outdoor seating, a stage for live music, playground for the kids, ax throwing, and theme nights (karaoke bingo the night we went). There was definitely space on their gravel patio area with metal chairs and tables but it could benefit from more fans or climate control. The food was mediocre and pricey (12 dollars for 6 wings) so don't go there for food, but the beer was good. Scanning the QR code to place your order made the service very efficient. Stopped by Bold Republic on Memorial Day weekend to grab a quick bite. Had the margarita pizza. It was full flavored and significantly better than most brewery food (which usually an afterthought.) Overall a solid B+ for flavor and preparation. The lady helping me knew exactly what beer to serve based apron our conversation. Super nice with stellar service picking out the Island IPA. The music was all early 90s alternative and people were nice across the board. Social distancing was established but comfortable. Great place and we'll go back! read more

This was an interesting experience. Seems like I got a new server a little shy so not so welcoming but nice. Service was ok , this a brew pub so beer should be great the brews here were average. Atmosphere is loud, family oriented limited kids menu though. I ordered the devil eggs they were really salty for me , bacon crumbles were a nice touch along with the chives but they were just average at best. I wanted a cheese burger but the offerings seemed overly complex with combinations of pork ribs, brisket and then ground beef. If you are going for a Bistro StyleBurger why not throw in a Lamb burger w Feta. I did order the ahi tuna appetizer and it was delicious! I ordered rare - cooked perfectly! Plate presentation didn't do the dish justice but quality was great! I may come back for the fish chips just hope they have malt vinegar! First visit to this brew pub/restaurant. Nice place with a playground for the kids and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Brewed beers and seltzers were ok, nothing special for the beers as far as brew pubs go. The ladies at our table complained about their drinks which all seemed really tart and the Mojito drink tasted like Crest Toothpaste. the real issue with the visit today was the food. We ordered from the app at the table and after an hour our food has t arrived and there is no one checking on tables to ensure orders are getting out and the guests are happy. I had to walk up to the bar to make sure our order was received and all the guy would say is you ordered an hour ago so should be out soon. No apology, did not follow up with the manager to go into the kitchen to expedite orders. Nothing. Thirty more minutes later and the food starts coming to our table and it is all ICE COLD. Pretzel with cheese sauce frigid. Brisket nachos were cold to the touch and I couldn't eat It. Buffalo chicken salad was a cold sloppy mess. I gave back the Nachos to the staff member at our table and said I couldn't eat it and didn't want it. Waited 15 minutes and no manager came to the table to ask about our experience or offer to refund it so I had to walk up to the bar to get the bartender to remove the charge. we honestly should have refused everything but the bar drinks. lots of opportunity to improve upon Management at this place. read more
