Belton Texas treated me pretty well when I visited. Mostly because Nolan Creek Brewery served up a good time with their pints and fun stuff for my toddler to play with. You'll see a buncha wooden tables that gives this place an "off pub" look but still very nice and warm. Friendly staff recommended a few brews for me to try and the pricing was great. I got 2 beers, an IPA and a blonde to taste. Both were refreshing and delicious and I ordered a side of dill dip and pretzels (which i didn't really care for). Beers tasty, snacks are good, stuff for my toddler to do. I had a good time there. Thanks Nolan Creek Brewery!

When you're out in the middle of central Texas, full of BBQ, and time on your hands waiting for your big brother's graduation (CONGRATULATIONS Bruh!!!!!), what do you do? You take a flight! Small towns make walking around easy. My family went antiquing, and I waltzed on over to the local brewery. Walking in, it was still early afternoon. There is a massive parking lot for retail outside. The brewery has a patio out front, and ample seating inside. I chatted up a local fella at the bar for a bit. He put me onto the Pioneer Porter, which was very tasty. My favorite was the Creekside Warmer, an 8.3% Winter brew. Very tasty. The ramblers Amber and the Coyotes Call were very good too. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and chatty. They have events throughout the week, and Mimosas for those so inclined! There is a food menu, but I did not partake in the chewables. Pricing was good too, can't complain. If I find myself out in those parts again, I'd be back!

We really enjoying going to Nolan Creek Brewery! I had the Snap Berry which had strawberry notes and a little bit of sweetness - it tasted great! Staff was really kind and they even offer a tasting before you commit to a beer. There were plenty of tables and they had games too! Looks like they have lots of events like trivia and bingo so I hope to come back for one of those.

Great locally made Beer. And there bar snacks hit the spot. The atmosphere is hard to beat. It's a must try if you have never been.

The inside of the brewing company has tables and often does live music or you can hang out at the bar in the air-conditioning but the majority of people at barrows are outside because Burrows also has a phenomenal massive concrete pad that has covered picnic tables and this is where the food trucks park. This is also where they do their live music on the weekends. From behind barrows, you can walk down to the creek, and this is where they have the ice cold natural spring that comes out of the ground. You are welcome to bring their beers down here and sit in the water or sit by the water and hang out and enjoy the creek. Depending on the day, there can be anything happening here from a farmers market to vendors to food trucks to music to dancing anything you can think of so definitely check out their Facebook page for the activities. Absolutely family friendly and there's usually tons of kids having a blast down here with their parents. We like the beer a lot and the staff is friendly and we end up here more than once every single time that we're in Salado, so don't skip it!

My Think Pink drink was good, but overpriced. They don't have prices on the cocktail menu, and this felt more like a $9 drink than the $12 it turned out to be. My husband's beer was very well priced, I thought, at $6.50 for an IPA. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It wasn't tossed in buffalo sauce, just unevenly drizzled on top so the full sandwich wasn't covered. He asked for a side of sauce to finish the job and we were charged $0.50 for it. He was also charged $0.50 for a side of ranch for his fries. In general, I just don't agree with charging for condiments. I had the Alehouse Burger and it was fine. It had a bacon tomato jam so I thought it would be okay without condiments, but it was dry. It needed pickles. None of the burgers on the menu had pickles. Burgers should have pickles. We weren't given a kid's menu when we were sat, so I thought they didn't have one (it's a pub, I get it), and I tried to just order a side of mashed potatoes for my son. Our server was cool with it and was able to ring it in (because she later had to take it off the ticket) but the kitchen told her they don't serve individual sides which is very odd to me. You have a button for it on the POS, you can serve a side on an entree plate, so just put that amount on a side plate. It seems like a very easy way to cater to your customers. The sun really shines through those back windows in the evening. Some pull down shades would be a huge improvement. It's a beautiful view, but not when the sun is setting and blazing into your retinas. Overall, food was mid, prices were a little too high across the board, service, as always, was great.

Of course there were some beers that we ordered but did not like. However we found a couple that we throughly enjoyed. We even took a couple cans home! The food was amazing! The pretzel was a little inconsistent, crunchy in some areas and super soft in others, but it hit the spot either way. Their garlic fries were definitely garlicky, don't order if you don't like a lot of garlic. The food did not come out together, but we were ok with that. The mushroom burger, grilled cheese, and fish and chips were all delicious! The grilled cheese was even loved by our picky son! The fish was crispy on the outside and so flaky and tender on the inside. The burger may have been frozen, but the mushrooms and Gouda totally made up for that! Good beers, great food, friendly and attentive staff! If we find ourselves in Waco again, we will definitely be stopping by.

Honestly, the only thing I was disappointed by (and the only reason I gave it 3 stars) is the use of ai slop on the menu. Ya'll -- in this day and age, ai slop pictures are only going to hurt you.
