Great vibe and it's nice because there are a lot of regulars that are friendly , although you can simply mind your own business and just enjoy your food and drink and watch the games. The ladies are professional and on point with their job, they hustle and are aware. Also easy to talk to and keep a conversation which is a rarity sometimes. Visiting family in the area, haven't been here in almost a year since last visit. Bar has the same local vibe; some new menu options (the onion rings are a nice addition - but they need to perfect cooking them. They were underdone when we got some. Burgers didn't seem as decadent. The food was good but lacked seasoning. The food was hot and fresh. We had: FRIED MUSHROOMS Beer battered crispy fried Mushrooms served with Buttermilk Ranch CRISPY FRIED PICKLES served with Homemade Buttermilk Ranch CHICKEN FRIED STEAK &EGGS* Black Angus cubed Steak, two fried Eggs, house made Sausage Gravy and a buttery Toasted Biscuit served with Home Fries The biscuit was hot, fresh, and good! We decided to try Backporch Drafthouse and ordered a half order of cheese fries to start. The fries arrived warm, not hot, which was a little disappointing. The cheese had a more solid texture than expected, almost as if it wasn't melted enough. On a positive note, the jalapeños were delicious and added great flavor. For my main dish, I ordered the Mushroom and Swiss burger. While I enjoyed the burger itself, the bun was overcooked around the edges to the point of being burnt, which made it less enjoyable. The Swiss cheese also didn't have the tangy flavor I typically expect; it tasted more like American cheese. As for the service, our server was very nice and checked on us often, which was great. Drinks took a bit longer to arrive, but the bar was had football fans, so I totally understood. The atmosphere was a big plus. It's a bar/restaurant focused on sports, with 12 large TVs in the dining room and more above the bar, making it perfect for watching a game. The music was also a highlight--it played 2000s R&B, which I loved! Overall, there were a few misses with the food, but the friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere definitely made up for it. read more

Today is my second time coming here. My first time was with my best friend after I bought my new vehicle from Don Ringler Toyota. Today I hooked up my other best friend by giving him a ride to Don Ringler Toyota to buy his new vehicle from there as well. So I thought about starting a tradition and bro my other best friend here for lunch while we wait for the dealership to add his window tint and accessories to his new vehicle. The service at the bar was awesome! The bar tenders kept communications and drinks going. The ambiance of this facility is rocking! The food today was delicious! I ordered the T-Bam and my best friend ordered the chicken Philly steaks. The T-Bam was phenomenally delicious! We walked in during lunch with no wait. Very good food!! I had a brisket sandwich and my wife had the Philly Ok... The bad first.. although service was good and definitely not the worst, I'm not sure if the young women are tired of guys hitting on them because of the crop tops. Alexis, our server, was amazing a couple mins after warming up to us.. That was the bad...lol The good, I ADDED An Amazing cup to my lavish stemware collection. See picture. The brisket was great. Taste was good, I wasn't looking for Franklins quality so for a restaurant. Darn good brisket. The fries I liked because they did have the great crunch at the tips. Love it!! Stopped in for lunch, after the lunch crowd. Got seated quickly, drink orders taken fast, and everything else went smoothly. Had a great waitress (Taylor?) very friendly and helpful, made it a great visit (after some of our experiences at a couple of different places). The food was all tasty, some variety from the usual pub grub. Portions were generous, and they had some tasty IPAs on tap, which is the Hop Queen's (my wife) favorite. We will be back! read more

I wasn't planning on leaving a review but considering the experience we had, it's hard not to. It started off great: we loved the atmosphere, all the servers greeted us with a smile, and we were seated immediately. From here on out, things went downhill. The restaurant was not busy at all. Our section had our booth consisting of my boyfriend and I, a couple finishing up and leaving, and a family with two young kids. So, it was not like it was a packed restaurant. We ordered beers and they brought me the wrong beer. No big deal. We ordered the chips, salsa and queso as an appetizer. The queso was room temperature. Ok, I can look past that. Then we ordered our meals. My boyfriend ordered the burger with sweet potato fries and I ordered the chicken wrap without tomatoes with regular fries. When our meals came out, they did regular fries instead of sweet potato for my boyfriend. Our server said, just keep the fries and she would bring out the sweet potato fries. Ok, that's much appreciated. I had asked for no tomatoes on my wrap and it unfortunately came with them. My server offered for them to remake it which I accepted. My boyfriend was nearly done with his whole burger when the server came by and said she thought the manager had brought my wrap to me. The manager did not. In my mind, that made me think they just needed to grab it and run it to the table. No, i had to wait another ten minutes before i got it and my boyfriend was completely done with his meal at this point and i lost my appetite, asked for a to-go box and the check. When we got the check, they had charged my boyfriend for the sweet potato fries for some reason even though he had ordered it with his meal. Overall, none of the food was hot, the orders were wrong and we were charged for something that came with the meal. My wife and I have gone to Backporch a couple of times and I have been impressed every time. I like to write my reviews based on what you expect a place like this is supposed to be. For example, a McDonalds can be a 5 if it stands head and shoulders above all McDonalds. Backporch is definietly no McDonalds, but it is for a local bar place with interesting BBQ food options, it is great. The pulled pork and mother porker sandwich were really good. Lots of smokey flavor. The waitresses have been a hit or miss, but they are all kind. Level of service is a little all over the place is the only issue there. Its a little loud, but what bar isn't. Lots of TVs so a great place to go on college football days. Will be going back. read more

Huge bar with a ton of outside seating and an amazing staff that are spot on with a smile and the servers behind the bar especially Bella and Hannah on the porch are amazing! Probably one of the happiest of happy hours in Temple M-Friday that starts at 2PM...yes 2PM...and ends at 6pm. 1/2 priced Domestic beers! The food is amazing. Asian Chicken Wraps not the same as PF whatever but they stand alone as with BBQ'd chicken. The Club that you must get with a Pretzel Bun, Chicken Philly Cheese Steak and if you love Bleu Cheese the Wedge is the best in all of Temple. My biggest issue is that we asked for unsweetened tea and because they had run out (which shouldn't happen), we didn't get our tea until after our food came out. They offered my wife something in the interim, and then charged for it. This might have garnered another star if they would have comp'd the drinks. Fine bar but food is very much lacking! I ordered the Kracken based on the server's suggestion. The patty was underwhelming small, the bread was ice cold and stale as if it was just removed from the refrigerator. I was told the onion ring was bigger than the bun but I never saw it. The biggest disappointment was the undersize patty. It was so thin, you could not cook it medium rare! I sent it back. I did however have a bite of my wife's (hers was on toast. Same burger setup.) I was fine sending mine back! They didn't even season the beef. Go for the beer, not the food. Oh, we were a 4 top. Same answer for all. Met friends here today around 1145. Place was pretty empty. Kind of a sports bar meets beer bar vibe. Lots of TVs but volume wasn't cranked up. Good service for us. It sounded really good, I was told it was so "AWESOME", it's even on a Hatch Chili Bun! Wow! So I waited with eagerness and anticipation.....finally got my burger. Here's what I noticed for starters - - - the bun is smaller than a regular bun making the burger look bigger than it really is..... (can we say "optical illusion"?). - the burger patty itself was small, thin, and honestly - it lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just wasn't great. - I did not get any of the hatch chili taste from this burger. Nada. And I know hatch chilis. At Chuy's I always get their Hatch Chili Chicken Enchiladas which is loaded w/ robust hatch chili flavor, but this burger was a huge letdown. - The bun was stale. Yes - stale. It started to break down on me as I got deeper into the burger. This is a sign that the bread is past its prime, it's stale and started to breakdown into pieces. And did it taste like Hatch Chilis? NO. - The fries were just fries - nothing special here, but based on other pics it looks like they changed their fry vendor - they look different, but not sure if it's better. Usually when you make a vendor change it's to reduce costs. - I feel like I ate what should of been an $8 burger but paid $11 for it. If I pay $11 for a burger I'm expecting it have a really good beef patty, and quality ingredients. This place comes up short of those expectations. - Because this was such a letdown, I opted not to try anything else fearing another letdown would occur. Was interested in those new Nashville Tenders but....ehhh. I'll pass. - Service here was okay. Good at first, some people waited for their food longer than they should have (place was only 10% full if that). She was attentive at first then disappeared for too long then circled back. Well....first time here. Maybe my last. Cheese fries had canned nacho goo on top with half cooked bacon. Steak fingers were really good...except unexpectedly the gravy had a ton of jalapeños in it, and that kind of covered up the flavor of the gravy. We ordered dirty martinis and when the young lady was listing vodkas she mentioned Deep Eddy....but it turned out was the Sweet Tea one. That's what we got. No one knew it was absolutely the wrong vodka for a dirty martini. So who knows...maybe I'll try again sometime, but tonight gave me no reason. Too bad. read more

Crumbs on the booth seats. Ick. Service was just as slow. Took 20min to get drinks and almost 40min for food. Everything was mad slow. Olives were shriveled. Celery looked bruised and dry. Our server was nice but it was just way too slow. The food was fine. Drinks were fine. I ordered the Asian Chicken Spring roll. The sauce had spilt all over soggied everything on the plate. My husband ordered the "famous" BP breakfast tacos. He said it was basically a Jimmy Dean in a tortilla. Sorry to say it was mid. Would not be back :/ read more
