Phew! Please take time to read the other reviews about how expensive it is because they're all spot on & take time to read them going back 6 months. This review is solely constructive feedback for the owners & for new customers. I'm visiting from Houston and go to a place called Hot Bagel that's located in a multi million dollar neighborhood and they charge $2 for a bagel AND spread together - here it's $6 all together for a bagel and spread that's a 300% increase. Not sure why the owner replied to a previous review saying the price was included when clearly on their menu it's two separate charges (images below). I can see why they may be charging these prices from a small business standpoint as a business consultant but I think they really need to reevaluate there overhead if most complaints are about prices because it is a bit ridiculous. Maybe don't buy merch starting off as a new opened business that's trying to establish a customer base first? FOOD: We got the big bad with avocado spread, hot pig, blueberry bagel with cream cheese. The blueberry bagel was AMAZING. As you can see by the photo they definitely do for sure load it with cream cheese! Better to take it off than to ask for more. Both sandwiches were also good as well! The cost for these 3 items PLUS two drinks came out to $42 with tax. Staff was friendly, establishment was clean & overall food came out quickly. Overall, really don't understand some of these prices especially if i go to one back home that's also a local small business in a prime prestige location and they don't charge this much for a simple bagel but they do have the foot traffic to make up for it compared to here. I think the owners should really scale back on some prices but can understand why they may not be able to due to being a small business. Or offer residents in the area a locals discount to build that fan base.

Lox bagel sandwich on everything bagel

I am glad a bagel shop like this opened in Temple! The food is pretty good, I usually go for the lox bagel sandwich, but have also tried others. The food tastes good, however, sometimes the bagels are a bit hard. Their coffee is decent as well. The restaurant itself is spacious and there has always been seating available, although, sometimes the tabletops have not been wiped down in a timely manner. The service is good, the staff is always friendly and seems to be having fun at their job. I also like that there is a drive thru when you are on the go!

This location has exceptional employees and the food is always on point. They're establishment is always clean and welcoming. My grandson and I visit almost every Saturday after his swim lesson. They always make him feel welcome. He and I look forward to our Saturday visits and our take-home order of bagels. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for delicious bagels and excellent customer service.

"Toasted" ???? Bagel

I have tried hard to love this place since they opened. I always order my bagels toasted and have also ordered my bagels double toasted. I think they are either not actually toasting each time or their toaster is not hot. I will try again in a few months in hopes they get their staff properly trained or their toaster fixed. I also ordered the new cinnamon sugar bagel (toasted) and was met with disappointment. Very little cinnamon and sugar and the bottom half had a chemical taste.

Truly do LOVE this place and love that I can also bring my dog here! Never had a bagel I didn't love and the smears are creamy delicious! What I will say though is that this is for sure a 'every once in a while' place. Prices are high IMO. Caught off guard when I purchased a bagel and found out smears are separate - as in costs separately - who wants to eat a bagel with nothing on it? Coffee is good as well, ordered a matcha that was top tear but for sure come back for the bagels, not necessarily for the coffee.

Big Bad breakfast sandwich

My husband and I have been saying we need a local bagel place so we were very excited to see William Hoyt open up. Overall, it's a good addition to the area and we'll be back! My husband got an everything bagel with regular cream cheese and I got the "The Big Bad" breakfast sandwich which is bacon, egg, American cheese, and William Hoyt sauce. Pros: the bagels were absolutely delicious. The egg in my breakfast sandwich was clearly cooked fresh, not one of those microwaved egg patties you sometimes get at other places. We really liked the restaurant itself. Clean, bright, and plenty of seating. There were a lot of families with young kids there and I wished we had gotten Leo dressed up for his peers. Next time we go, he'll be ready to show out. The staff was super friendly and able to answer our questions about the menu. Our dishes came out promptly and were brought to our tabel, but the person delivering them couldn't read the tiny table numbers and was just calling out names, which is fine with me. Plenty of parking. Cons: I thought it was pretty expensive. I was surprised that bagels do not include cream cheese in the price, but I guess that's nice for people who don't like cream cheese (whoever those people are...) This could have been a one time thing, but it smelled like they had just burnt something when we came in, which wasn't a great first smell. My husband said his bagel could have been toasted more and next time he'll ask for extra toasting. They put a TON of cream cheese on his bagel, which is a pro for us, but it wasn't really spread at all and they didn't give a knife with it. It would have been a bummer if he got the bagel to go. My husband ordered for us and they didn't ask what kind of bagel for my bagel sandwich. It was nice to try the plain, but with some prompting, he would have ordered it on an everything. The bacon is a thin slice and it was a little light on my sandwich, so it got lost. I won't order another bacon sandwich because of that, but am looking forward to trying some other varieties.

Very inviting new spot. Clean wood accents, nice booths and tables. Entrance to counter service a little quirky. The cost is high in my opinion though we purchased 12 bagels, two toasted with cream cheese no coffee/beverages for a total of $63 !!!!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Wow

Vanilla latte

This is one of my favorite places to study in Temple due to its fast wifi and lots of space! I got the iced vanilla latte is the perfect amount of sweetness and strength! My boyfriend got the hot vanilla latte which he enjoyed as well. Also, the staff had always been super friendly and kind!

I was super excited about trying this restaurant as I'd heard a ton of great things. Unfortunately my experience was lack luster to say the least. I wanted to try their bagel burger but apparently they discontinued it but are still advertising it on their website and in-store menu. Bummer. Decided to get a special ordered big bad bagel, sweet potato waffle fries with a hashbrown and coffee instead. Although the order was correct on the ticket, my order was all wrong. I got the wrong bagel (ordered plain but got an everything bagel) and I received regular waffle fries instead of the sweet potato fries I purchased. And the serving size for the $2 hashbrown was disappointing. Unfortunately I didn't notice all of this until I got home. I trusted I didn't have to recheck the order since again everything was correct on the screen and receipt when I purchased. To add insult to injury, the coffee was mid. Sorry to say I'm gravelly disappointed by this experience after the hype and won't likely come back.

Hot Pig on plain bagel
Angelique S.

They have their limited "soft opening" menu right now- I can't believe there will be even more great options! We had a "Hot Pig" , it was giant, delicious, and steaming hot! We also had a plain bagel, w strawberry cream cheese- it was PACKED w the velvety cream cheese! The staff were very kind and looked as if they were happy to be there. great way to start the day- we will be back!

This renovated historic house gives the entire space a cozy, peaceful atmosphere. There are couches, comfortable seating, and quiet corners perfect for studying. You can catch up with friends, or simply slow down for a bit. Outside there is a playground and picnic tables for family time. I love this! The restrooms are clean. That's always a plus in my book! One for boys and one for girls! What really caught my attention was the prayer wall. It adds such a thoughtful and uplifting touch to the environment and makes the space feel genuinely community-centered. You can tell this isn't just a business. It's a place where people come to connect, reflect, and encourage one another. The Christian atmosphere is subtle but meaningful, and it contributes to the calm and welcoming vibe throughout the coffee house. And of course, the coffee was excellent. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and carefully made. The pastries were good too. The cruffins and baked goods deserve every compliment. The staff is genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you're anywhere near Temple, Texas, and looking for a coffee shop. This should be your one stop. This place's latte art caught my attention because that is definitely one of the crafts that distinguishes a coffee place, blurring the line between second and third-wave, in my opinion. I decided to give this place a try as it was more promising than anything I could find in the area. They had a good selection of drinks and standard drinks that you would find in any other coffee shop. I was also surprised to see that they also offered pourover options and had very good equipment, similar to the stuff I have at home in order to make it. This really piqued my interest. Unfortunately, the beans they had to make the pourovers or 4 to 6 months old, so I decided not to go with a pourover. Instead, I got a latte, which they actually did a beautiful job in terms of the latte art which told me that they knew how to properly get milk up to the right temperature and know how to layer the drink properly which gave me some hope. The latte was actually pretty good and I would actually come back for it. The people provided good service and were nice and patient . The ambiance was very basic and empty, with a lukewarm cafeteria-like design which made it feel like a first wave and was not pleasant. Other than that, I would called this a pretty solid hole in the wall that is worth checking out. 3.5/5

I'm sharing this review to highlight Atrium's hiring practices so other applicants can make…read moreinformed decisions. Just a couple weeks ago, a candidate I know was brought on as a trainee with explicit assurances from management that, once training was completed, she would move into a regular barista position. Trusting that commitment, she left her previous job -- after giving proper notice -- and accepted the temporary pay cut that comes with a trainee role; as trainees at Atrium earn a lower hourly wage than regular staff and are excluded from tip sharing, meaning the on-shift barista receives 100% of the tips. Throughout the entire training period, she consistently received positive feedback and was never told of any performance concerns. But the day after completing the two-week training program, she was simply removed from the schedule with zero notice and no explanation. Only after reaching out to the scheduling manager did she learn that the shop supposedly "wasn't busy enough" to keep her on. Such a sudden decline in business over such a short period seems highly questionable, given that just two weeks earlier there was reportedly enough demand to justify hiring additional staff. It also appears more than coincidental that the day she was pulled from the schedule was the same day her hourly wage was set to increase and she would have become eligible for tip sharing. And despite claiming they couldn't justify bringing her on regular staff, Atrium continues to actively advertise open positions. This pattern suggests Atrium may routinely employ "trainees," benefiting from paying a lower hourly rate and allowing regular staff to keep 100% of tips, without any real intention of offering trainees a permanent position. This experience was exceptionally disappointing and felt deliberately misleading. Now, just weeks before Christmas she is left without any employment. Recognizing that Texas is an "at-will" employment state does not make this kind of treatment right. I just wanted other applicants to be aware before making major decisions based on management's word.
