The eggs are cooked to order, and BACON. I love mine Almost Burnt n theirs? ON POINT. They have a wide variety of breakfast dishes including skillets, traditional, zesty Mexi type etc and they also serve lunch fare! Good food we met our friends they recommended this place. Excellent choice for breakfast for sure many choices to pick from. Service was great and spot on. Nice place very comfortable and welcoming. First time here and we enjoyed our meal. We had a really friendly waitress who worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Our group tried sandwiches and breakfast plates and everything was prepared exactly as requested. The ones who asked for crispy bacon were happy and I ordered mine limp and it was just right. But the cinnamon roll was the absolute star of the show! Warm and soft and covered with yummy icing. I'd go back just for that. No wait on a Sunday at noon. Food was decent this time it is usually great. The potatoes were meh... everything else on the classic breakfast was good. The service however was what will keep me going to This place. Heidi remembered me from when I was in a month ago and remembered what I ordered. She never let my coffee get cold and she made me feel like I was eating in a home from the moment she walked up to the table. It is also clean which is very important to me as I am picky about many things. As soon as we finished eating they cleared our dirty dishes so we could enjoy our coffee. I really appreciate the amazing job Heidi did and the rest of the crew keeping it clean. read more

This is an old-school diner that serves breakfast and lunch. It is very big with plenty of seating. I had the cowboy skillet, and I liked the ingredients, but the tater tot base was definitely getting to me because it was so fried and oily. I didn't realize the main component of the dish would be tater tots. It tasted fine overall, and the portion was large. I liked how it came with a choice of side. They all worked well together and looked sharp too. I noticed the kitchen staff had really fun T-shirts. And, of course, the food as always was great. We had a really enjoyable breakfast at Jimmy's Egg and will definitely be back. Our waiter, JR, did an excellent job taking care of us. He was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us several times throughout the meal. We especially appreciated that he came by a couple of times to offer coffee refills without us having to ask. That kind of attentiveness really makes a difference. The food was very good. The portion sizes felt appropriate for the price, everything arrived at the right temperature, and the flavors were spot on. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes with eggs and sausage, which were delicious. My wife had the scramble, and we also shared a cinnamon roll between the two of us. Every item we tried was flavorful and satisfying. The service was the highlight of the visit, and JR really made the experience pleasant. The restaurant ambiance itself is fairly basic, which would probably be the only small downside, but it certainly didn't take away from the overall experience. My wife and I walked into this place thinking we'd enjoy a relaxing breakfast. What we got instead could be taught in culinary schools as a masterclass in disappointment. Let's start with the potatoes--cold. Not "room temp," not "cooled down while chatting," but full-on "fresh from the fridge" cold. I half expected frost. My wife's pancakes came out looking optimistic... and tasted like hope that wasn't fully baked. If you've ever wanted to eat pancake batter that still dreams of becoming a pancake, this is your spot. Then came the omelet. Ah yes--the final blow. I thought I saw a little extra seasoning until I realized it was a hair. And not the "Oh, maybe it fell from my own bald head" kind of hair, but the unmistakably "belongs to someone else and now ruins your appetite for a week" kind. That was it for us. We left before dessert--though I wouldn't have been surprised if the syrup had tried to escape on its own. Came here to try it this morning. Our server was wonderful a perky and sweet blonde but I didn't catch her name. Our food was good until I found a black hair in my omelet :/. I lunched at the West Adams location and had a great meal except for one thing...I asked for a side salad as a side and instead of a nice bowl of mixed lettuce with a slice of cucumber and some tomatoes maybe, I got a shallow dish with finely chopped garnish with a few croutons. The food and service were good as always. We only had an issue with one of the servers not having her hair tied back. Every other server or food handler had their hair tied back or were wearing a cap. Luckily she was not our server or I would of had to hurt her feelings and ask for different server. It's probably more of a me problem, as I would have this same reaction at a friend or relatives house if they were serving me food with their hair loose around their face. I do think it is a requirement in all food service establishments that hair is in fact tied back or covered. Come on management a friendly word and a hair tie please. read more

The link sausage would have had a better flavor. Again gravy was requested on the side, it did not come that way. Making the biscuit debris dish unpalatable. read more

We were invited to try out the restaurant. It is a nice size where it doesn't feel too big but isn't crowded either. We ordered a couple different dishes. The hot chocolate was good and has a nice whipped cream on top. The pancakes were nice and sweet. The cinnamon roll was a nice consistency and was delicious. The skillet was great. The bacon was lackluster but overall the meal was great. All meals (without drinks) are all under $10 with only 1 being above. I definitely recommend trying it out. We had always enjoyed the food & service here EXCEPT one time about a year ago. I was so upset, I'm only now feeling like I can leave an honest review. There was a sliver of white glass in my omelette! I winced when I bit into it, but was unable to retrieve it myself. The next day I scheduled an emergency visit to my dentist & my suspicion was confirmed. She extracted a tiny sliver of white glass. I suspect a plate or cup shattered around the griddle & a sliver of the broken glass flew into my omelette. Absolute worst place I've ever been to, and I should've known when I seen the staff full of meth heads. There was a sign at the door that tells you to sit anywhere, so I did. sat for 15 mins before someone came to take my order and it wasn't even busy. ordered the bandito skillet with a side of pancakes, the potatoes were burnt the eggs and avocado looked days old and the pancakes were undercooked. I visit this restaurant about every other week sometimes with my wife but mostly by myself and sit at the counter. I like to hear the chatter and sometimes engage with staff or guests also sitting at the counter. For the most part food is average +. Service is generally very good and servers are attentive and friendly. The back of the house is where the issues are. Not much communication and no expedience to get orders out quickly . There is a lot of conversation about personal issues at the front counter and disagreement with management practices. The other day I came in around 7:30 in the morning- not busy yet and set down at counter. There was only one other person and I assumed he was a district manager by the egg patch on his shirt- I have seen him there several times and he always takes up two spots and has a laptop. Not sure what he does as he mostly sits there looking at his computer. Never really engages with staff. That morning I was greeted by an employee and ordered some decaf coffee which they had to make fresh but that was fine. Then another employee came and took my order - nice black young man - he has waited on me before always pleasant. Took my order and immediately called it back to kitchen. The kitchen had a lot of staff but no one seemed interested in starting my order. About the same time another customer came in and also sat at the counter. They placed their order as well- and within a few minutes their food came out. My order had yet to even be started finally my server asked where they were and the line cook finally woke up and prepared my omelette- it was not a good omelette just ok . Then they had to finish the sides and of course the entree was cool. I think there was some conversation going on between my server and kitchen manager- and the DM seemed to be aware of the lackluster performance of the staff that morning but did nothing to address. My server came by several times to followed up on coffee refills but there was nothing said to me from anyone about the poor quality of my experience. The reason for this review is to make management aware and hopefully address the inconsistency of service and food. There is not many options available other than fast food on this area of Temple. I want them to succeed but inconsistent service and food quality will kill this business. Last comment if you come at lunch get a burger- they are the best on the W Adams strip. read more

Decided to try this place for the first time earlier this week and will never be going back . My Waffle had maybe 5 pieces of strawberries so i would say 1 whole strawberry cut up, no strawberry glaze or even whipped cream . I also had the Veggie Skillet which had absolutely no flavor and potatoes were still raw. My husband had the country skillet which he couldn't even finish & the cuban sandwich which was so small and came out dry. We were asked to pick sides for our meals but not told meats were a premium charge of $3-5 each. Waitress was rude and kept rushing us when ordering. Never checked on us and took her time getting us our bill. This is an expensive place with Horrible service, Plain food you could easily make at home for 1/5 of the cost, Not worth trying or ever going back. read more

I want to love this place. I love a great breakfast diner. I just can't. The service is great. Very warm and welcoming. Food came out fast, maybe too fast. I sat at the counter to get a good look at the process. A mountain of bacon sitting in the warmer at 7:00 am drying out in pain. A mountain of hash browns and home fries crisping up to dry out also.
