You place your order at the counter before seating yourself. The people behind the counter were sweet and helpful. We ordered the pink skies drink, which they advertised as tasting similar to a Starbucks pink drink. To me, it tasted more like a strawberry daiquiri. It was sweet and not super creamy. It had a strawberry puree, which gave it the sweet taste. The Italian sandwich had a great flavor - it had a sweet Italian dressing, mayo on the bread, fresh lettuce, cheese, and several meats including baloney, salami, and pepperoni. The bread was soft and fresh. The cucumber salad got a little soggy in the vinegar mix. They were perfectly salty, but could have been a bit more sweet for my personal taste.

I was able to grab a seat at the bar while I waited and enjoyed a fantastic cocktail (peaches and cream) off their seasonal menu - bar staff were top notch, could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Everyone loved their meals, too - most went with their famous shrimp and grits, but I don't care for seafood and chose the chicken scallopini. It was the best meal I've had yet this year - absolutely fantastic. Couldn't recommend Public more!

I always get the Spicy Lemongrass Noodles (baseline usually not very spicy- you can add table side spices to your liking). They vary a little year to year but I always enjoy them. Cold air inside, waters stayed full, but it can be fairly noisy depending who you're sat next to and how busy the place is. Tables can be a bit tight for a couple as you'll only get a 2 top (they get busy and need to save the larger tables for bigger parties). We were able to order before the 10 top next to us, so our food came out super fast! (Yay!!) Could use two bathrooms though, the one they have is large but when they are packed it can be quite a wait. Lots of metered street parking on Broughton and nearby streets. We'll be back again!

Makes it fun to try dishes from different locations, especially for those unfamiliar with Asian cuisine. Very pricey menu. Pad Thai 2.5/5 could have had way more flavor and had zero spice, and they didn't ask if we wanted a spice level at all. Flavor came out once chili sauce was added. Red spicy noodles were spicy and yummy! 5 spice BBQ pork plate was super flavorful, loved this dish! Lychee sake martini just tasted like lychee juice which was great. They also add in 2 lychees to eat/garnish! A good spot, nothing to write home about. Probably wouldn't come back, there was nothing wrong with the place, just nothing exceptional.

We had a group of about 14 girls on a bachelorette trip, and we showed up around 11:00 AM. There was about an hour wait, so we went and walked around for a little bit while we waited. Once we finally got seated, though, our server took care of all 14 of us SO efficiently. He was absolutely running around doing his best! Getting everyone's drinks, taking all of our food orders, and making sure everyone was taken care of. The food came out pretty quickly considering the size of our group, and he was even able to split up all of our checks for us. Overall, the service was amazing. He was great! The vibes inside were really cool, too. We were seated in a corner area where we could see people coming in and out and watch everyone walking by outside the window. There was also another bachelorette group sitting near us, so it made the whole experience even more fun. And then there was my food... SO GOOD. I got the chicken sandwich, and it was HUGE. I honestly don't even think my picture does justice to how much food comes with it. Surprisingly, the fries were really good, too. But the chicken was what really impressed me. Sometimes when you order grilled chicken, it can be super dry, but this chicken was SO tender and juicy. There wasn't a single tough or dry spot. I was full after eating half of the sandwich, but I almost ate the entire thing because I genuinely could not stop eating it! I will absolutely be back here the next time I'm in Savannah!

I love that the menu encourages you to try duck in different ways than you may be used to. I don't typically like ordering grilled cheese out since I make a pretty good one myself at home, but the duck grilled cheese called to me. I'm glad I answered because it was delicious! It had the right combo of cheeses, and the caramelized onion gave it that little pizzazz it needed. It went great with the tomato soup. My sister's duck tacos were also very good. They do a great job of cooking the duck well, which I don't think is easy. The bellinis weren't groundbreaking, but they were very fun, since there's different flavors to choose from and they come garnished with a little rubber duck.

Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

I had the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and Alison had the quinoa chicken bowl. Everything came out quickly, the presentation was gorgeous, and the flavors were out of this world. We also tried a couple of mocktails and both were fantastic. I came very close to ordering Leo's Big Brekkie because it looks like a protein lover's dream, but I wasn't quite hungry enough to tackle it. My fried tofu was the perfect texture and didn't get soggy sitting in the broth. The flavors were good and they had extra spices available if you wanted to amp up the flavor a little more. Would definitely go again. They do have a bit of a "nerdy" atmosphere with anime on the TVs and some trading cards available. And it gives the street market kind of vibe with the seating. They are an order at the counter establishment, so nice and casual.
