The food is way too oily and portions are very small! They serve miniature egg rolls and chicken wing portions, Way overpriced! Service is a young boy, son of the owner. Not professional at all. The restaurant appears clean but not my cup of tea! read more

Quick and cheap but too oily and the oil tastes old. Driver was kind but the bag smelled of cigarettes.

The drive between Daytona and Augusta takes a while, so we like to look for gems along the way. Happy Wok is in a small store a little off the expressway in a non-descript strip mall. Menu boards are faded and the prices are missing. The business has a small seating area and the take-out menu is pretty standard. Besides the good food, the most noticeable thing about the place would be the eclectic art. DH had Sesame Chicken (his 'go to') and I chose the Bourbon Chicken dinner combos. I noticed a steady stream of people come in this Friday evening. Happy Wok isn't local, but I have it bookmarked, just in case. read more

Two separate visits & each time the chicken is hard, tough & difficult to chew. Today's order was sesame chicken & couldn't chew it.

I have been ordering from Happy Wok more often than I should, but that's only because of how consistently great the food has been each time. So far I have tried the General Tso Chicken, which was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and with a thin but crisp breading. The Bourbon Chicken is outstanding and keeps me coming back. The House Special Chow Mein Fun is oh so good, thin rice noodles sautéed with vegetables, pork, chicken, and shrimp. And the boneless spare ribs are addicting. All have been ordered as dinner combos, which come with a soda and egg roll. The flavors are delicious, the portions are generous and I always have enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The best part? Great service and speedy preparation. I haven't waited more than 10 minutes for my food. Lots of customers come in while I wait for my order. Thank you, Happy Wok! read more

I called in an order on my way to work. Easy enough. It was ready within 20 minutes. It looked freshly made, but tasted old and bland. There was no flavor to the chicken or rice and the egg roll tasted sour. I was left hungry and highly disappointed. A complete waste of my $15. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

I just want Chinese and this is the closest place to me. First off, it's hot as blazes in the restaurant. The restaurant is dirty and so is the kitchen. The bathroom is unsanitary and the motion activated paper towel dispenser is broken. How are employees washing and drying their hands before returning to work?!? The young lady up front is a sweetheart and very personable. The cooler with drinks contains the Walmart Great Value brand sodas and 12 packs of coke products that are not intended for individual resale. Also, NO UNSWEETENED TEA. This is tragic. UPDATE: I got my to go order home and the food was horrible. I got the spicy chicken and it was like rubber covered in a nasty BBQ sauce. The rice is yellow with pork. It wasn't terrible but definitely not Chinese fried rice. I ordered extra crispy wontons for my soup and did not get any. I was starving and now have to cook dinner bc our Chinese was so gross. read more

Portion was small. Tasted of old seafood which was odd because I ordered chicken. It was quick but not great.

We order from here all the time. It's always fast delivery, fair prices and the employees are so nice! Our go-to Chinese food spot for as long as we live in Richmond Hill. 10/10 recommend read more

"Meh" would be an apt description of my experience there. I am used to a variety of Chinese delivery/takeout/eat in choices; REALLY authentic - only our family NOT visibly ethnic (congee, shark cartilage dim sum dumplings & chicken feet yes please), Americanized Chinese - we all know that it's not terribly authentic culturally yet it's yummy and we crave it now & then, and lastly Mall food court/strip mall/drive through attached to shopping plaza. Cannot. I went in to Happy Wok paid good money for a carry out order, tipped the front desk & grabbed a menu for the fridge. Delivery in Richmond Hill? THAT's a first! (up to 10 miles, BTW) Have not located delivery to Buckhead South YET. I had been CRAVING sh**** "Chinese" and decided to indulge myself & our teenager, who is a good example of autism w/self-limited diet. The plain fried rice was for him as I don't want him to take straight shots of soy sauce and it mildly (barely mentionable) stretches the sauce. Since it was our first try of Chinese food in Richmond Hill/Savannah I ordered all of the low brow faves to sample: crab rangoon, ck. fried rice, plain fr rice, shrimp lo mein, chicken with broccoli (Now I'm hungry, but not for Happy Wok) & steamed dumplings. Positives: steamed dumplings and dipping sauce were good, chicken w/broccoli was cooked well. Desk person told me to pick a 2 liter of my choice out of the cooler since my order was over a certain dollar amount, if only it hadn't been Big K; not much of a financial bonus. Negatives: lacking seasoning across the board, mushy noodles, lack of "rangoon" filling which is typically cream cheese, sugar and imitation crab (couldn't identify flavor from tiny filling remaining) and tends to be sweet, bizarrely yellow & hard-as-rocks rice used in fried rice. The kid did NOT finish his which was a SHOCK to me and an indicator of how sub-mediocre it was. No condiments & couldn't locate chopsticks. The teen has adaptive chopsticks due to motor challenges & indicates the frequency with which we eat pan-Asian places - we are learned eaters of ethnic foods. To sum up, meh. read more

Soggy and over cooked noodles. Sweet and sour chicken had more plain fried dough with no meat in it then ones with actually chicken in them. The sauce was tasteless and watered down or something. I know I took a chance eating at a place like that but sometimes the dumplings at least are good but here they took frozen store bought dumplings. So not a fan at all of this place. Sorry business owners. We the consumers are aware that everything is getting expensive but you are making a claim then please stick to it. Really good food. Taste like back home in Jersey. Everything is fresh and always taste.

Was craving some chicken fried rice. Tried this place out, not happy. What Chinese place can't make chicken fried rice? It's not real fried rice, it's yellow dyed rice with white and green onions. No peas, no carrots, no fried egg in the rice. So disappointed. Also my husband had an egg roll, dumplings and beef and broccoli and he didn't like any of his food. Egg roll was tiny, dumplings were just steamed, supposed to be steeped and fried on the bottom, not just a squishy blob. Not coming back here. read more

The only thing awesome was how sweet the delivery guy was. The girl that answered the phone was 12. Unprofessional, and had to ask if 3 miles was too far to deliver. We got Crab Rangoon and it was sweet. Gross. The chicken lo mein was Bland as it gets. But extremely hot. They have a $15 minimum to deliver so I had to get a 2 liter of Coke instead of just a can. A limit and I tipped 11$ because I am awesome. But the food was blah. read more

Looking for a consistent Chinese restaurant outside of Savannah I decided to give them a try. The place looks clean and the service was fairly fast. I ordered shrimp fried rice (extra shrimp), steamed dumplings and an egg roll. My bill was $18. Caught off guard by the total I reasoned with myself that maybe they have quality food. The portions were very small. The egg rolls look like finger food and the rice plate was not full (I could see the corners of my plate). Despite the size, the egg roll was pretty good. Rice was very bland, it was yellow with onions and shrimp. The extra portion requested was unnoticeable. On a good note the steamed dumplings were good and fresh. read more

Always has amazing chinese food! Like, i dont know any place better. 10/10 recommended!

Great food, good service, and always fills that cravings, recommend this place to all!!

Very happy with everything we tried. Veggies always fresh. This is our go to Chinese in Richmond Hill. Delivery is so convenient.

Decided to give them another try seeing as I had a craving for egg drop soup, and they were closest. Not to mention my neighbors sang their praises, figured why not and it was worth another try. They definitely redeemed themselves! Delivery was much quicker, food was hot and good! The egg rolls are awesome, recommend! Egg drop soup was pretty good too! Great job guys ^_^ t read more

The decor is nice, I saw some previous reviews that said it was hot inside, but they added 2 fans and it's cool in here, we ordered general tso chicken, chicken lo mein and crab Rangoon, three classic dishes for any Chinese food place, the kitchen looked pretty dirty. We waited about 25 minutes for our food! and it was nothing special, it was just average for Chinese food, would I go there again? Probably not, there are plenty of other great places in the area, but for what it was it was just OK, the noodles we're a little lacking, the vegetables in them were kind of gross, but the portions were good. read more

We like Happy Wok! We like to order for delivery because they're fast! The food is always hot! If you're passing through Richmond Hill and you want a good meal, order from Happy Wok. If you don't feel like cooking, this place is great! Sweet n sour chicken, Orange chicken, their low mein, even the rice they use is pretty good. And you know most places use cheap rice! The owners are also polite and smile! That's pretty important! read more

This review is the first visit to Richmond Hill, Ga. Please pay "Close Attention" to reviews. I wanted to give Happy Wok an equal unbiased opportunity. WRONG!!!!! Ordered for delivery four lunch specials and two appetizers(fried shrimp). The fried rice is just rice, the fried shrimp were old and twice/thrice fried. Called to inquire about bringing the fried shrimp back to exchange/refund. The girl who answered rude and no acknowledgement of accountability. I suggest you go elsewhere to spend your money when visiting this area! read more
