I have lived in Midway for many yrs but just recently gave Yummy House a try. I always get the Generals Tso chicken and ask for white meat instead of dark and extra spicy. I don't normally leave a review, but this was especially bad. We paid $54 and the was burnt. The pepper steak with onions was burnt. We did not receive fried rice. I don't know what kind of rice it was and it was burnt the only thing good was the crab Rangoon The whole meal was awful. It was absolutely uneditable and it was all throw in the trash and we had to go by the children McDonald's I would not advise eating there. We ordered this about 6 o'clock. Midway, Georgia is a bit of a smaller town, so this serves the area and can offer them Chinese food where they don't have such a drive. However, the food is mediocre at best. The ambiance is typical Chinese takeout and nothing to write home about. It appeared to be clean enough. If you live in or around Midway, Georgia, it is a more convenient location and can save you a drive. However, if you ate like myself, a traveler, continue on until either Savannah, Georgia or Jacksonville, Florida (or stop a little earlier) and you will find significantly better Chinese food. read more

Not so yum. General Tso's Chicken was horribly dry which explains why our order was ready 5 minutes after we ordered. Pork fried rice was most decent thing. Crab Rangoon barely had any filling and seemed twice fried or something. Not the worst Chinese we've ever had- but close. read more

Yes, I gave this place a 5 star rating initially. But we've been back since and something has changed. Plus, we've referred legions of friends to this place, all of whom report they won't stop here again. I'm not sure what's happened. There's now a grease factor in the food. Fresh ingredients and large portions. Any shrimp dish that I've ordered has been amazing. The vegetables are always cooked to perfection.

It's alright. For Midway, it isn't bad. For slightly better quality, drive a few extra miles.

They made a mistake on our order and thought I said lo mein over the phone. When I got there they had already made the lo mein so the gave it to us for free. It was good. Small and a little simple but great great great! There is a dining room but its not open if its busy after 6. Really good food and even better customer service. Just ordered Mongolian "Beef": It was spongy and had no texture or meat flavor whatsoever. The fried rice is just that: it's rice and it looks fried. Gross. I ordered the Hunan chicken and the house lo mein. 1/2 of it was oil. I'm not kidding. Completely disgusting. I ended up throwing the whole $18. Meal in the garbage. My husband and i order from here all the time. We contribute to the tip jar just for the food! I have rarely had a problem with their food. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced! Always have some left for a late night snack. There is an attached dining area to the left as you walk in, so it isn't just for take out. Staff has always been friendly. This place is a local hidden gem in my opinion. My husbands favorite dishes are the pork lo mein and the singapore mein fun. We always order the tofu vege soup! Add sarrachie sauce and you got it made!! Only once.... oil temp?... were the egg rolls greasy. If they added sushi to the menu i think it would be DA BOM!! For Midway...... (whatever that means) I would rather eat here than drive into another town/city. Concerning other bad reviews... No restaurant is perfect all the time. As for 12 year old.... all you had to do was inform "management". I am sure they take pride in their business and reputation. Kids will be.... well, kids : ) read more
