I had the pineapple fried rice with chicken along with an order of the Klom Klom chicken wings. This was absolutely an amazing meal! My only regret is that I didn't order an extra side of the chicken wings. The service was incredibly hospitable and the individual that waited on me. Eva was nice enough to provide me a complementary drink while I waited. I am looking forward to going back soon. I was only able to take pictures of my rice as the chicken wings were devoured before I remembered to do a review. read more

Klom Klom Thai - Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken. - Thai Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

Absolutely amazing! Five stars all around -- atmosphere, service and food! The service was absolutely amazing. The food arrived within minutes of ordering it. The edamame was cooked and salted perfectly. I had the orange chicken-- it was one of the best I've ever eaten. The chicken was crispy but not overly breaded. The sauce was delicious and the plate was loaded with pineapples and cashews giving extra flavor. My brother really enjoyed the Penang curry. He said it was loaded with flavor and the perfect spice (he requested medium). He ate every last drop! read more

This was our second visit to Klom Klom Thai Restaurant in Savannah, and this time we came for lunch after having previously tried dinner. Overall, I'd say our first visit had slightly better food and service, but this experience was still decent. The restaurant is small and located in a strip mall next to the Pancake House. Service was good considering there was only one waitress handling orders for the entire restaurant, with an assistant helping to clear tables. My husband ordered the Tom Kha soup, and I ordered the Tom Yum, though we were both served Tom Kha by mistake. He also enjoyed his eggplant dish with fried tofu. My Sukiyaki Thai Haeng was just okay--not something I would order again, but the menu offers plenty of other dishes I'd be willing to return and try. We were too full to order our favorite mango sticky rice for dessert, unfortunately. One thing worth noting: there is a 5% discount for paying with cash and a 3% credit card fee, which we weren't informed about until after paying with a credit card (saw it on our receipt). Lunch for two was $64. Overall, a solid neighborhood Thai spot with a wide variety of options, though there's room for improvement. read more

This makes my second visit here and I've enjoyed both visits and will definitely visit again whenever I'm in the area. I ordered the Pad See Ew with porkbelly, it was to die for. My daughter ordered the Egg Fried Rice with Chicken that was so delicious, some of the best fried rice ever. I also ordered Thai Pink Milk, I enjoyed my Thai drink so much. The staff is so nice and helpful. The bathrooms were nicely decorated and very clean. My daughter enjoyed visiting here so much she came out the very next day on her lunch break. We can't wait to eat here again. read more

Very tasty Thai food! Helpful staff & cozy environment. The staff took the time to make the boat noodles vegetarian and the broth was very tasty. Great place to get soup, especially on a rainy day. read more

Amazing food. The service is slow but everything is made to order and it's a real small place so that was expected. I ordered the yum woon sen which is a Thai glass noodle dish with seafood in a cold broth. It was so good. I wanted to slurp the broth but managed to maintain my composure. Excellent food. read more

If a business is using third party delivery, please make sure to package it so that the customer can tell if their food has been tampered with!!!! I ordered take out and one thing about take out that is really important to me is how the packaging of the food is done for my own peace of mind: restaurants need to put the food in a paper bag with a sticker seal. They need to also staple it if possible. This ensures there is no tampering with the food. Otherwise I do not know for sure. The food was good but not a lot of it. Then bag is easy to open. read more

Klom Klom Thai - DoorDash packaging as of April 2024 - Thai Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

This is a small but nice Thai place tucked between two other larger establishments. Menu has a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. We had the tofu and satay for appetizers. Tofu was delicious and satay was acceptable but I would suggest something else. Entrees were Panang curry with shrimp and Massaman avocado curry with chicken. Both were excellent. Also had the Thai iced coffee. Delicious. Dinner and appetizers came to about $50 per person with tip. (No bar tab) So - a little pricy. But a very good meal. read more

This is my first time in Savannah and this was my first meal. The pork belly, the main reason I ordered from this place, was hard as a rock and not edible. The I'm not sure if the beef from hell was supposed to be spicy, but it was not. I'm going to PJs. read more

We have called in orders multiple times and the service and quality of food it always good. They're a little pricey but once in a while it's ok. For 3 people, it was a little over $100. read more

Savannah, Georgia Yummy! This place is a small restaurant with big taste. Started off with a spicy edamame. So delicious. We then ordered the pineapple fried rice thinking it would be enough food. The amount is plenty. The food has great flavor. But we wanted to try something else so we got more. We asked for the spice to be medium. Did not think that it was too spicy. Next time I would ask for slightly hotter. Every plate that went out from the kitchen had so much food. The place is nonstop busy. Anna was our waitress and so incredibly kind. She smiled the entire time we were at the restaurant. We were staying down on the river at a hotel, but took the drive to come to this restaurant. We were not disappointed. read more

Food is great, ambience is ok. I have been here several times and tend to always get the same thing. Very popular

Love this cute little Thai restaurant. I have tried many entrees and gotten help from the sweet servers on what to try and how to eat it. The sticky rice and beef special was a fun adventure. You won't be disappointed. :-) read more

Klom Klom Thai is a must visit on the Southside! The curb appeal alone is vibrant and striking. The restaurant draws diners to it with fun colors from the outside. When you enter you will find a small space, but it has been utilized well with the tables. That is the majority of the space. There is a small bar area, and the kitchen in back. The menu has a wide variety to choose from. There is something to please every palate. You get a choice of spice level. I chose medium with my dish to be safe. I will say next time I will up the heat. Because I like a little kick. I got the pork boat noodles. They were delicious! Well seasoned and the pork was tender. The vegetables were not overcooked. The service was great. Our server was attentive. My friend was going to order the mango sticky rice. They told us the mango was not ready yet. Instead of putting mango on the dish that was not ready. Some restaurants would just to make the sale. I greatly appreciated their honesty. Next time I will try ordering to go. I saw quite a few people picking up to go orders. I will definitely be back to this local spot! read more

Delicious Thai! I've hit this place a lot during happy hour deals on door dash. They have tons of BOGO deals. The pot stickers are delicious! So crispy! Spring rolls. It's hard for me not to eat all of them at once! Love their Thai Tea. I will probably not get the pink drink again. I've tried the lime chicken and the orange chicken for entrees. I'll probably try something else next time. I will not be ordering the basil rolls again. I'm having a hard time finding yumi basil rolls here in Savannah. read more

I absolutely enjoyed eating here. This hidden gem next to Top Crab is a small, quaint little restaurant with nice decor and friendly smiles when you walk in. Came here on Monday evening for dinner, and when we entered, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our waiter, Andrew, was very nice and attentive and he made sure the kitchen got our orders right. Apps we got: basil roll and fried tofu (I forgot a pic of the tofu and almost forgot to capture the basil roll, but got one. They are a pretty decent size.) The fried tofu was surprisingly good with the sweet chili sauce (and not fried too hard). Mains we got: fried rice (one with chicken and one with salmon) and green curry with vegetables. My family loved their food and the green curry was also delicious. I love that they don't skimp on the veggies. I will definitely be back!!! read more

Wow! My wife and I love Thai food and they did not disappoint! We are vegetarians and the hostess quickly acknowledged that and said they can make the necessary adjustments to the spicy edamame. We both had curries, panang and masaman) and managed to finish all of the food but we were stuffed when we left. The restaurant seems to be family owned. We went on a Saturday evening and it was quite busy by 7 pm. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and food. We'll definitely have to go back next time we're in the area. read more

The best Thai Papaya Salad, or Som Tum, bursts with vibrant flavor--perfectly balancing sweet, sour, salty, and spicy in every bite. The crisp, shredded green papaya is refreshing and pairs beautifully with the crunch of roasted peanuts and the juicy pop of cherry tomatoes. Fresh lime, chili, and fish sauce create a tangy, savory dressing that coats every strand of papaya. Carrots and garlic add texture and depth, while a side of crisp cabbage and greens cools the palate between bites. It's a bold, addictive dish that captures the essence of Thai street food in its purest form. read more

Klom Klom Thai - The best Thai Papaya Salad - Thai Near Me - Savannah, Georgia

The food is horrible. I have had microwave Pad Thai that is far better then what is served here. I order to go for the first time and when I got home and opened the bag, I legitimately felt like I was being punked. How can any restaurant that is open possibly serve food of so poor quality and remain open? The noodles were like angel hair pasta, stuck together in a solid clump with no discernible vegetables by flavor or sight. If top ramen made pad Thai it would be better then this by far. My wife's rice was a clump literally served in a half melted sandwich baggie. It's just sad and gross! For what they charge it should at least look good to eat. Avoid going here if you want actually good food. I am angry I let the yelp picture fool me into thinking it might be nice to try! read more

Now, I really can return with a more well-rounded approach. I ordered those wings again as well as the seafood mix fried rice which had shrimp, large prawns, mussels and squid. It was a bite of goodness in every chew. I had the pleasure to order the mango sticky rice and this time they had it. They use the black rice along with half a mango and a coconut sauce. It was absolutely a 10 outta 10. The service is good and they make the food to order. The restaurant is a tight space, so it would not be great for a large party unless you don't mind being friends with the table next to you. It's close quarters in there for sure. They have a lovely selection of wine and beers and a few imported beer from Thailand. It is a quaint little spot to take a first date. They food is delicious and they give you plenty of it. I will be there again soon. read more

Went there with a party of 8 and they were very accommodating. Food was outstanding and healthy portions.

2nd time is a charm! We've been trying to come here over Thanksgiving weekend but they were closed for the holiday weekend so we patiently waited until they reopened that Monday. It was worth the wait as everything was delicious. The Thai tea was creamy without it being too sweet. I got the small boat noodles which was the perfect size since the large was more family sized. My siblings enjoyed their basil chicken and beef with the fried egg on top. I think my sister and her family finally found a nice spot to go to when those basil chicken cravings kick in. read more

I stumbled upon this restaurant when we were looking for a place to eat with my teenage son. This establishment is small in the middle of 2 big restaurants- top crab restaurant and the original pancake house- located In the Kroger and Dicks sporting goods shopping area. The place is small and crammed but overall not too bad. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. I ordered a spicy TomTom soup spice level #4 (very hot), my son ordered the pad Thai. The servings were not bad and the prices were comparable to other Thai places. Highly recommend! Parking: plenty read more

This restaurant is bitter sweet. Pros: their flavorful recipes are fantastic. The chef even takes the time to julienne the vegetables. Kudos for the carrot design and his amazing attention to detail. Cons: we ordered the Orange Chicken and Crispy Lime Chicken. Both came with fried chicken that was so over cooked it was hard as a rock. It was literally like chewing on a leather shoe. The breaded chicken nuggets are cut in dramatically different sizes so the smaller sizes are overcooked like chicken jerky, while the larger sizes are extra well done. The cook in charge of the fryer food needs to be fired and is likely a different person than the main Chef. We also ordered the Pad Thai noodles which do not travel well with delivery. They continue to cook in the takeout container and by the time they arrive, they are a solid mass you need to cut with a knife. However, this was our mistake. Prices are above average. Until they replace the fryer cook, 100% do not recommend. read more

Have you tried Savannah's newest Thai restaurant? It's tucked between Pancake House and Top Crab, but should not be missed. I asked for a main dish that is gluten-free but something I've never tried. The women suggested Kao Soi Chicken. It is a curry with rice noodles and 2 drumsticks and turns out it is off-menu! It comes with lots of noodles, some spicy pickled greens, and toppings. The curry though is a write-home kind of curry. Easily the most flavorful curry I've ever had! I could drink that as a soup! It is made with a lot of spices and herbs and reminds me of Fall in taste and color. Highly recommend! I also ordered the basil rolls as an appetizer. It comes with 3 rolls and a healthy side of peanut sauce. Light and tasty. Also good for dipping in the curry For a drink, I ordered the Thai Pink Drink. It's like strawberry milk but light. The picture is of a small if you can believe it! Inside they have plenty of seating at tables and half booths plus some bar seating. Next time: it'll be hard to try something other than getting the Kao Soi Chicken again read more

Great authentic Thai! So yummy!! My go to off day solo date!! The space is a little small but the food is worth it.

Pretty good Thai food. Maybe a 3 on the fresh basil roll. Nearly all lettuce....nearly no protein. Tasty peanut sauce, but overall, I'll get something else next time. Drunken noodles (chicken, mild) was plenty flavorful. Very hot coming to the table. Lots of food. Good service. I'll try it again with a different appetizer next time. read more
