You have the option to get extra white rice, and if you choose to skip the salad and soup, you can get two proteins for dinner, which we did. We also ordered six sushi rolls, and while none of them stood out as "mind-blowing," they were all very good and solidly made. The pricing for the rolls felt pretty average compared to sushi spots across the U.S.--not cheap, but not unreasonable either. Our total order (six rolls, two chicken bento boxes, and shrimp tempura) came out to $146, which felt fair for the amount and quality of food we received. The only downside was the shrimp tempura, which was noticeably cold by the time we got home--even though the drive was only about eight minutes. I'm confident it would be excellent eaten fresh, so next time we'll definitely dine in to get the full experience. The restaurant itself looks almost brand new, very clean and modern, and it feels like it was recently built. We're already planning to eat inside next time for a fresher, hotter meal. One thing to note: if you like heat, their spicy rolls aren't actually spicy at all, so keep that in mind when ordering. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming.
