Next on my business trip foodie journey is SUSHI! Yelp steered me here so here I go! Parking: They are located in a plaza with other businesses so there is decent amount of parking. Food: I would say this is somewhat of an "Express" Sushi and Hibachi spot. They have limited dining inside. I opted for the Volcano and Savannah Roll with an Express Shrimp Bowl to go. The rolls came out Quick but did not lack in portion size and flavor. Service was quick. I would definitely come back!

I was excited to try the newer sushi spot in Pooler. However I just found it to be average. My takeaway is this is a "fast food" version of sushi. ATMOSPHERE Best places are unassuming spots in a strip so their location in a strip didn't deter me. However when you walk in, you get the fast food vibe. There is an order counter, with menu on screens above, and a self-serve soda fountain beside it. There isn't a sushi bar to sit at. The seating are fast-food style booths. FOOD This is a combination hibachi and sushi place. My daughter loves the hibachi fried rice dishes. The main difference between a bowl and plate is the plates come with greater selection of vegetables. The sushi rolls are mostly tempura fried, which many like, but we prefer the traditional raw fish variety. The raw fish was bland and didn't taste very fresh. Steak and Fried Rice - daughter enjoyed it. Steak was fairly tender. The shrimp sauce comes separately and makes the dish. It comes with one shrimp sauce (some call "yum yum sauce") but recommend adding a second, which is only about 35 cents. Rainbow Roll - looks nice with color contrast from variety of fish and shrimp that cover the California roll on each piece. However found the flavor to be bland. Pooler Roll - Spicy tuna, snow crab, topped with tuna and special sauce. This was my wife's favorite but wasn't mine. The "special sauce" was similar to creamy shrimp sauce (and might be just that). Also the sauce mixed on the sushi didn't look appetizing. Spicy Tuna - this is always my go to sushi roll. This was tasty. The spice is not very hot so consider it more flavoring than heat. House Roll - Tuna, snow crab and avocado with eel sauce on top. This was one of our favorites. Avocado gives it some creaminess and eel sauce gave it a little sweetness. Tuna Avocado - another classic tuna matched with a creamy avocado. Great for the beginner just getting into raw sushi treats.

We decided to stop in and eat inside as many just pick up and go. I'm glad we did because getting my steak fresh off the griddle was absolutely wonderful. The sushi just made and brought to you was amazing. The place itself has a fair amount of seating but it seemed very large part of their business is pick up. I would recommend taking the time to dine with them as again receiving everything fresh off the griddle made a big difference to me. The service was great as well even though they were very busy with pick up orders. I highly recommend if you have not to give this place to try. It is absolutely wonderful food.

Great staff. We started with the pork dumplings and the beef dumplings, both where really good. The Pooler roll is a must try. The other rolls were good also. I will definitely come back.

Went with coworkers during our lunch break, about 1230. There were quite a few customers, but our food came out quickly. I ordered the Pooler roll and the teriyaki chicken express plate. It came with mixed veggies (Broccoli, onions, zucchini) which were still crisp and fresh, rice which was nice and fluffy, and chicken which was juicy and tender. They did use chicken breast which is often over cooked in restaurants, it causing it to dry. No issues here! Flavor of the sauce was good and they give you a bottle of YumYum sauce for the table to use. Pooler Roll was also good and tasted very fresh. I was stuffed and couldn't eat it all! Be aware this is an "express" place. They have booths, but you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Not to be confused with a hibachi place where you sit and they cook in front of you.

Great sushi and hibachi restaurant. Lots of help and service is quick. You order from the counter and they bring it to you. They had lots of takeout while we were there which tells me the locals support the place. We had sushi rolls and sashimi. Wasabi not very hot but everything was excellent. Very nice staff.

Excellent dinning experience! Food was fantastic! Everything had great flavor. Sweet potato roll is always my favorite. Best sweet potato roll I have had yet!

The Japanese marble sodas are surprisingly really tasty! The strawberry one tastes like carbonated strawberry milk. Would recommend!!

This smallish restaurant tucked into a shopping plaza was somehow upscale and low-key at the same time. The decor was sleek and had an American Asian feel to it, that made it comfortable to dine in. I ordered the hibachi scallop meal and my sister got the hibachi chicken meal. We split a crunchy roll as well. All of the food was delicious and exceeded expectations. A previous review commented about the rice being bland. I felt like the rice could have been seasoned more, but I added chili sauce to it and it was AMAZING! If you like spicy, do yourself a favor and add a little chili sauce to your rice. You're welcome. I rate this a 4/5 because the portions were a little bit small for the price, but I would definitely go back again.

We walked halfway in and nothing and my husband had to walk directly to a waitress to ask if we seat ourselves. She pointed at the table and grabbed who would be our server. I guess we interrupted her conversation. Our server on the other hand was sweet, however, I had a hard time hearing what she was saying because her voice was so low. We did not have any qualms about our server. She was good. A lot of servers were openly on their phones, specifically the sushi chefs behind the counter. They would stare off into the distance or be on their phones until summoned to make a nigiri. It wasn't necessarily slow, there were quite a few patrons there. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. AMBIANCE 2/5: the set up and decorations felt all over the place, nothing was a cohesive design. It's as if they just went to Ross and found anything Asian inspired (not specifically Japanese) and purchased it. FOOD 3/5: it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the scallop nigiri but it was $6.50 for 2 pc. Presentation of nigiri was wild too, they put 2 nigiri on a 12 in platter lol it's as if they ran out of small plates? The grilled squid was what got our attention to come here and it was ok. It was grilled fine, just the way i like it. I did like that hint of ume or shiso they sprinkled in there but the dish also came at the end, after I've already eaten my entre. It was Iisted as a hot appetizer but came after the entre, so I ate it without any rice. The lava roll was very good and there was an abundance of imitation crab meat on top. The "angry dragon" roll was interesting because they used pink tofu skin, which i thought was unique. Flavorwise, not as spicy as the name insinuates. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming. For about $40 per person, I expected more than mid-tier food and subpar service.

It seemed like they skimped on the beef but there was plenty in there. It was a bit mild in flavor but truly enjoyable. The spring rolls were fabulous and really packed with pork and shrimp filling.
