Cute lil spot, with friendly and helpful staff at the counter. You have to place the order at the counter and your given a number stand which you place on your table. I'm guessing everything is prepped and ready to heat up on the skillet because our food was done literally in about 10 min. I'm not a big soup person but I've had some fresh, tasty noodle soups in the past and down to try other places. I honestly prefer to wait for fresh food. This to me was like a quick to go spot or compared to a Chinese food spot, just ok. My kids soup was salty, the wontons were super crispy and the edamame wonton was ok but preferred if I had to choose from the 3. My husband did enjoy his spicy shrimp ramen soup .

This was such a good stop. We were going to mellow mushroom and saw this place on the way and decided to go here instead to try it out and I have no regrets! The food was so yummy and reasonably priced. The woman who works up front was super nice and helpful, she made the experience even better. I know it looks unassuming from the outside but it's such a good place, if I came this way regularly, I would be coming here regularly. Also LOVED the kimchi and the rangoons yay.

This place smells like rotten fish. Rude staff. Filthy floors. Gross. The health department obviously hasn't been by here in a long while.

This place has a home feeling from the moment you walk in the door. The day after Hurricane Helene cleared, it was a mission to find open establishments due to the power outages and damage. Thankfully Umami was open and so glad too be cause the food was delicious. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with shrimp. Warning! Bib yourself if you have on a light colored shirt/outfit. I slurped all over the place and learned the hard way, haha. It was so worth it though. Also, just must say, one of the staff who appeared to be the owner walked around the restaurant greeting everyone and she was super nice! Will definitely find my way back here when I visit Savannah.

Umami Noodle Bar is a great local restaurant that serves DELICIOUS PHO! I am pretty picky with pho, and I absolutely LOVED the broth. The broth was well flavored and not salty at all! It was perfect. The portion was pretty small and I wish it was more, but I think it was fair since the pho is only $12. The inside is really cute! Very well decorated and unique. The chalk wall is cool! Also, they operate as like an order before sitting as well as sit and then order! Both work! Cute spot and will return!

Eh. I ordered the veggie ramen with tofu. The portion size was small. Customer service was just okay. The crab Rangoon was not good. It had a weird plastic taste to it. It's a bit tight and cramped inside. I have had much better ramen elsewhere. If go vac I would try something else because this wasn't that great.

I came here alone once and had a good experience. My husband and I just moved to the area, so I've been asking him to try this place in hopes that it would become a go-to spot for us. Tonight we ordered the drunken noodle dish with chicken, which the menu said came with cabbage, carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts, and scallions. When we opened our takeout boxes, we saw that there were a couple scallions, a couple pieces of onion, and no other vegetables. I ended up cutting and stir frying vegetables we had at home, which isn't what you want to do when you order takeout. The dishes were also bland. It's hard to tell from the picture, but this is also less food than you'd normally get from similar places. I can never finish takeout meals in one sitting, and I ate my entire dish with no problem. This meal simply wasn't worth $30. This was a bad first impression for my husband, and I don't blame him for not wanting to go back.

Firstly, calling and putting my order in was so wonderful. The lady on the phone was so kind and informative. When I sat down with my takeout the Smell of my Pho was Such a delight! I was So excited. It was a Delicious pho, hot, ready, and they even had Sriracha in the bag (wonderful!). Now, the crab wontons were Not my favorite. A bit too much breading and not enough of the good stuff. Yet, I won't take an Entire point away from this review since I Still ate them and the Pho made up for the little disappointment I felt over the crab wantons. I Mean! Delicious Pho. I had a a craving and to get that checked off my list during my travel made me a happy gal. Perfect for a cold night. Highly recommend

The food was great and came out relatively fast and the employees were pretty nice which gives the place a cozy atmosphere

Fresh healthy food, with large portions. The boba drink was a bit too sugary for my taste but the flavor was good. The pho broth was flavorful a bit salty but still good. Everything was made fresh and to order. I liked the spicy bakchoy they used in the pho. Great customer service.

Great food, great customer service. Had the pho last time with brisket and the meat was tough so I'll stick to chicken and shrimp and maybe pork. Great noodle bar, especially for the Pooler area.

The service was a little odd as each appetizer and entree came out at different times, one dish at a time and one appetizer after the entrees were all delivered. But the flavors were incredible and the service was friendly. Tom Kha Gai soup was excellent with a great coconut broth and the cup at $5.95 is huge, like a large cereal bowl. Spring rolls were great too and we loved the steamed Shrimp Rolls in a lemon teriyaki sauce. Two of us ordered the Nam Tok Beef Salad and it was amazing. My first time ordering this dish. It's similar to Laab/Larb but with beef instead of chicken. It was a tender flank steak, tossed with lettuce, cucumber, green onions and chilis. Choose your heat level, I went with spicy, just a step below the Thai spicy and it was just enough to make my nose run. You can also get it with zero spice, but that combo of hot beef, crisp cold vegetables, spicy, sweet, sour, crunchy and chewy. The pad see ew was also excellent and they bring you a few chocolates at the end of the meal. With all of the apps we were too full for dessert.

Service, though busy, was very attentive. Just a quick wave of the hand and they were in motion. Very professional and represented their establishment well. The in table grill was not the best I've seen, I prefer a mesh grate that allows more of the flame to directly touch the meat, but it worked well enough once we cranked up the heat to get some caramelization. My coworker had never had KB so we went simple with the Bulgagi beef and pork. The beef was very good, but the pork was outstanding. Both were expertly prepped in paper thin, small slices just big enough to make them easy to cook but not so big you spent a lot of time with the scissors. Wonderfully seasoned, these two items alone would make a destination menu. Broth cabbage and cucumber kimchi were on point, well spiced and the perfect textures. Daikon radish was very good as well, crisp and the perfect balance between sweet and sour. Well worth the price, excellent quality and flavors, very good service....you won't be sorry you chose Bewon.

We were looking for something…read morecasual but filling for dinner and because we had not tried out this place yet but had driven by several times, we decided to check it out. Definitely a great decision on a hunch. This is an all you can eat hot pot concept and frankly my first time attending this version. While I have visited hibachi restaurants in the past, this is not that. Basically this is a dual table side prep concept where you can either make your own custom soups and broths, and hot pot seafood or you can select the grill and grill of a variety of fresh meats and fish and vegetables, or you can get both. Both come with a small dessert bar and seem to be accompanied with the additional Fresh salad and sauce bar, although I'm not quite sure if one of those may have been restricted if you did the grill only or the hot pot only. Pricing is pretty fair at about $30 a person which rises to mid 30s if you decide to get both options. We went with the combo because we had never tried this concept before, but in the future, I may lean more towards the grill option only. Especially if I'm not in the mood for hot pot or soup. But I definitely enjoyed the combination choice for our first visit. The meat and vegetable selections at this restaurant are pretty vast and this is after the server first sets you up and allows you to pick from several different types of broth for your hot pot. In addition, they have a sauce bar that must've had 20+ sauces available to choose from. I think one of the most overwhelming aspects of this concept is lack of familiarity with the right combinations of hot pot and grilled options. For this we leaned heavily on our server and she did a great job of guiding us through a couple of her favorite combinations, as well as some of the favorite combinations of other patrons. This was really helpful because there isn't a menu or chart to help you unlock all of the really cool combinations that you can put together including Ramen udon and Thai soup varieties. All of the ingredients you need to make any of those dishes, but in your own customize version, are here to your heart's desire. Service is really good as they do switch out the grills rather rapidly as they will get charred and start to burn and smoke after three or four rounds of fresh meats and veggies slapped on them. However, they do not switch out your broth choice so once you make your choice, that's what you're rolling with for the rest of the dinner. All in all we were really satisfied with the freshness and the preparation of most of the ingredients and sauces. I did think the dessert bar was a little weak given the multitude of options elsewhere, but I also understand that this is consistent with the cultural preferences, which don't skew as heavy on traditional sweets, like American taste do. All in all this is definitely a treat for those looking for a great date night or just looking to take the family out for a really engaging and tasty cook at your table experience - all you can eat style!

The ambiance was quiet and really enjoyable--perfect for a relaxed meal. The broth could use a bit more flavor overall, but the spicy one was definitely the standout. If you look at the signage, there is a deer. The exterior of the restaurant is very exciting with their displays of bubbles and the fake fish to make it look like a fish tank which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. When you go inside, you are immediately greeted, they also have very Japanese style gocha gocha machines in the back behind the counter. I'm not sure if they're functional or not, but it definitely added to the esthetic. They also had Crane machines to give it a Japanese game center vibe, but it was still rather cohesive. The decorations were great and the ambiance is great. There were kokeshi dolls, Japanese dolls, swords but all tastefully displayed. The setting was very exciting and very clean. Everyone wore uniforms, whether it be a embroidered yukata top or an apron. They looked very cute and very reminiscent of what you would come across in Japan. Service was excellent from beginning to end The food was delicious. Albeit, the selection is not as vast, but the quality was good. I've already accepted the fact that a lot of Japanese restaurants here are owned and operated by Chinese or Taiwanese people and they will have random non-Japanese food on the menu not traditionally served at a sushi restaurant, but you can see that this place definitely respected the culture and added a hint of theirs without straying far away from Japanese cuisine. We also had a very delicious sake that had grits of rice in it, and it was very interesting, very good, but also very strong. My husband and I had to share a bottle. I absolutely loved the kinako mochi with condensed milk. I never thought to put condensed milk on kinako so I would go for that again! My only negative about this place is the bathroom. Incredibly small and not as neat compared to the rest of the restaurant. I feel like the bill for 2 was quite fair considering the experience that we had and the food and service that we received. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come again.

I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.
