E3. Teriyaki Steak & Shrimp
Melina B.

This is a takeout review! We decided to get takeout from here and the food was delicious! I loved how the food was packaged! The top consisted of our sushi and dumplings along with our utensils and sauces and they put a piece of cardboard to separate it from our entrees and soups. Also the soups were packaged in tupperware which was most appreciated and they were hot!! I got the teriyaki steak and shrimp with steamed rice and teriyaki steak and shrimp with fried rice both were delicious! The dumplings and the sushi were delicious as well! We can't wait to try this place in person!

Skip poolers options. It's always the goal to stay out of pooler and this place far exceeds expectations for Rincon. The fish is every bit as good as sushi Hana. The service was the perfect level of attentiveness without being overbearing. Bonus is probably the nicest Ace hardware you've ever been to is next door if you need to pick anything up.

Such a great dinner at Tomo! The place was busy and they seemed to be short staffed, but the service was still great. The ginger dressing on the salad is super yummy - more ginger based than creamy. I had the teriyaki ribeye steak. The steak was tender and the sauce was more on the sweet side. The rice was sticky. I just wish the plate had more vegetables. My husband had the teriyaki chicken and would definitely order it again. The portion sizes and quality are great, especially for the price. We'll be back!

This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants. Normally they are not busy but they were packed today and required a small wait time. It's not surprising they are being discovered by many. We come for sushi. The crazy Tomo roll is our favorite. The Hawaiian roll is another good one, especially with a little shite sauce, and is half price of the premium rolls. The wine list is small but the sake list was great.

Man, if you find yourself in the town of Rincon, GA, you have GOT to try this place. Do not let the fact that it is in an abandoned shopping center deter you. It was very cozy inside. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I started with some miso soup and saki. Then came the sushi. I had a few things that were amazing, but the Out of Control roll blew me away. I travel for work a lot and end up at a lot of different sushi restaurants, and I really hope I get to come back here.

You guys.....I don't leave reviews unless it is really earned and when I tell you this place knocked my socks off, I mean it. I am so glad to have found this gem right down the road from home. The staff was great and the food was beyond delicious. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out.

Ordered through door dash. Service was quick. The sushi was pretty good a little more expensive than I'm used to but that's ok. I did enjoy what I received tho! I definitely would try it again! I'm only visiting the area though so I don't know when I'll be back for more!

Sushi rolls are great. The fish is fresh and well prepared. They have lots of options if you don't eat raw fish. Try their mushroom soup!

I enjoyed the experience of the squid, although it was a bit chewy when we first took a bite of only the squid. But combined with the rice and veg inside, it was well balanced. we loved our server so much. She kept making our daughter (under 1yr old) laugh and smile which made our evening so much easier. The food was pretty good, but she made our experience the full 5 stars. Pricing wasn't too bad, for 2 alcoholic drink specials and 2 entrees we spent about $65, please note the squid entree was definitely what made the bill a bit higher- but we were intrigued by it. They have plenty of affordable options and great lunch specials if you are there during that time

We ordered two chicken bento boxes, and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were generous and very filling. You have the option to get extra white rice, and if you choose to skip the salad and soup, you can get two proteins for dinner, which we did. We went with double chicken, and it was more than enough food--especially for our first visit. We also ordered six sushi rolls, and while none of them stood out as "mind-blowing," they were all very good and solidly made. The pricing for the rolls felt pretty average compared to sushi spots across the U.S.--not cheap, but not unreasonable either. Our total order (six rolls, two chicken bento boxes, and shrimp tempura) came out to $146, which felt fair for the amount and quality of food we received. The only downside was the shrimp tempura, which was noticeably cold by the time we got home--even though the drive was only about eight minutes. I'm confident it would be excellent eaten fresh, so next time we'll definitely dine in to get the full experience. The restaurant itself looks almost brand new, very clean and modern, and it feels like it was recently built. We're already planning to eat inside next time for a fresher, hotter meal. One thing to note: if you like heat, their spicy rolls aren't actually spicy at all, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall, this is a really solid new sushi spot with generous portions and good-quality food. We'd definitely recommend it and will absolutely be back--just dining in next time. We ordered on the phone, which was very quick and easy. We were told it would take 20 minutes to be ready.

We walked halfway in and nothing and my husband had to walk directly to a waitress to ask if we seat ourselves. She pointed at the table and grabbed who would be our server. I guess we interrupted her conversation. Our server on the other hand was sweet, however, I had a hard time hearing what she was saying because her voice was so low. We did not have any qualms about our server. She was good. A lot of servers were openly on their phones, specifically the sushi chefs behind the counter. They would stare off into the distance or be on their phones until summoned to make a nigiri. It wasn't necessarily slow, there were quite a few patrons there. When we left there was a young girl at the enterance clearing off a seating chart and not a single person thanked us as we were exiting. Obviously you don't have to be Japanese to run a Japanese restaurant, but at least do the bare minimum of service that is uniquely Japanese. AMBIANCE 2/5: the set up and decorations felt all over the place, nothing was a cohesive design. It's as if they just went to Ross and found anything Asian inspired (not specifically Japanese) and purchased it. FOOD 3/5: it wasn't anything to write home about. I did enjoy the scallop nigiri but it was $6.50 for 2 pc. Presentation of nigiri was wild too, they put 2 nigiri on a 12 in platter lol it's as if they ran out of small plates? The grilled squid was what got our attention to come here and it was ok. It was grilled fine, just the way i like it. I did like that hint of ume or shiso they sprinkled in there but the dish also came at the end, after I've already eaten my entre. It was Iisted as a hot appetizer but came after the entre, so I ate it without any rice. The lava roll was very good and there was an abundance of imitation crab meat on top. The "angry dragon" roll was interesting because they used pink tofu skin, which i thought was unique. Flavorwise, not as spicy as the name insinuates. I did appreciate the water tasted smooth and not like faucet water. COST 2/5: obviously, prices are high everywhere now and on top of that this is a sushi restaurant. We paid $80 something inc tip for miso soup, 3 rolls and 1 grilled squid. I definitely feel it is a little pricey and I'm not willing to pay $40/person when the food is mid and service is subpar. Overall, I'd give this place a 2/5. There were a couple of enjoyable food items, but the lack of basic hospitality, scattered ambiance, awkward timing of dishes, and higher price point made the experience feel underwhelming. For about $40 per person, I expected more than mid-tier food and subpar service.

If you look at the signage, there is a deer. The exterior of the restaurant is very exciting with their displays of bubbles and the fake fish to make it look like a fish tank which is fitting for a seafood restaurant. When you go inside, you are immediately greeted, they also have very Japanese style gocha gocha machines in the back behind the counter. I'm not sure if they're functional or not, but it definitely added to the esthetic. They also had Crane machines to give it a Japanese game center vibe, but it was still rather cohesive. The decorations were great and the ambiance is great. There were kokeshi dolls, Japanese dolls, swords but all tastefully displayed. The setting was very exciting and very clean. Everyone wore uniforms, whether it be a embroidered yukata top or an apron. They looked very cute and very reminiscent of what you would come across in Japan. Service was excellent from beginning to end The food was delicious. Albeit, the selection is not as vast, but the quality was good. I've already accepted the fact that a lot of Japanese restaurants here are owned and operated by Chinese or Taiwanese people and they will have random non-Japanese food on the menu not traditionally served at a sushi restaurant, but you can see that this place definitely respected the culture and added a hint of theirs without straying far away from Japanese cuisine. We also had a very delicious sake that had grits of rice in it, and it was very interesting, very good, but also very strong. My husband and I had to share a bottle. I absolutely loved the kinako mochi with condensed milk. I never thought to put condensed milk on kinako so I would go for that again! My only negative about this place is the bathroom. Incredibly small and not as neat compared to the rest of the restaurant. I feel like the bill for 2 was quite fair considering the experience that we had and the food and service that we received. I will definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come again.

We looked around and happened to stumble on the street this restaurant is located. We looked it up on Yelp (of course) real quick and saw it looked decent. I looked over the menu and when our server came we asked if we could modify our order and she said of course, everything was made to order so modification were not an issue. This was great since my son wanted chicken fried rice with no veggies, just chicken and egg. They happily made this for him. I like sushi, sort of. I really don't care for most fish, so I like what I call fake sushi. The sweet potato tempura roll was perfect for me. My sister pointed out the Jack roll and it was again, perfect no modifications needed. I orders were done in less than 15 minutes. Everything tasted fresh. It was some of the best rolls I've had in a long time. The food was great and the service was great. I had no complaints and would love to visit again.
